self destruct mode??

Okay surgery is tomorrow. so, I have ate and drank things I have kept from since finding out two months ago. Soda, milk shakes, etc. In the last 24 hours, I have over eatten, had milkshakes, and drank coke. Anyone else ever go...life is to short and sorta do things slightly different. Start listening to music, watrching different type of tv shows etc

Me, besides the eat and drink issue. I started listening to more 80's hairbands that is what people call them. I had been mainly christain rock. My dh was like why? I simply said cause I wanna....

I find it somewhat comforting. Strange I know...

That's not self destructive - that's self indulgent and you have every right to be just that. Run with it! And try a little Seven Mary Three while you are at. Not quite a hair band but in the same vein

self destruct mode??

I go in tomorrow at 12:00 and yesterday and today I have let myself eat whatever I have wanted (lots of ice cream and cake) I had been super good since March and was running 6 days a week. The last 4 days I have even stopped running and taken time to get things ready and just sit for a time here and there. It has felt nice. I look at it that when I am all healed then I will be back to running and I can start eating like I am use to after tomorrow. I did find that by letting myself eat what I wanted to last couple of days that my body hasn't liked what my mind has wanted.

self destruct mode??

LOL- I was mortified to see that I gained 6 pounds at my pre-op today- from the day I found out- about 5 weeks ago. UUGGGHHH!!!!
Only 9 more days to go---how much more weight can I gain??? Geeze! Its almost like when I was pregnant, I would say- oh well, I can pig out, no one will notice and besides, once they pull this baby out of me- the pounds will come out too. WRONG! I was just left with a lot of FLAB!

I am going to work out on my machine every day for the next 9 days. Maybe I will take up smoking for 9 days! HA!
Ok- actually, I already do smoke sometimes- but usally only on the weekends and only with a beer in my hand. Guess its time for more beer to justify that.LOL

self destruct mode??

It's good to hear others feel the same as I have lately! I know that I won't have spending money once I'm on disability, so I've splurged for some things to make my being rather housebound easier. ( new sheets, bedspread, ..)
As everyone says, the waiting is hard... soon I'll be on the other side of it

It's alright sister!

You do whatever you feel you need to do. We are all here for ya. Once you make it to the castle and get your happy juice you'll be just fine.

There was really nothing that could calm my nerves. I was a complete basket case. I'm so glad I did it now and have no regrets at all.

I feel soooo much better now!
