Lack of sensation - need advice please

OK..6 weeks and rearing to go..so not sure how to explain but i did the x thing for first time. Everything was fine up until entry..bit uncomfortable but not too bad..but i had no sensation..nothing..it felt different...no feeling inside, numb..

Worried about the lack of sensation or feeling down there,..DH was worried about it hurting..that wasn't the problem..i just felt nothing, but couldn't tell him..
Has anyone else had this?..does it get better? I was so disapointed...some advice please.

I've heard of the lack of sensation. I would guess it's similar to the numbness some have at the incision.
I had - and still do have in spots - the numb areas at the incision but not vaginally. I would think that things should return to normal for you soon.

Maybe you should practice flying solo for a while? That way you'll work out and know what feels good and what doesn't...and just what feels!

Then you can "direct" your DH what to do

Hi veebs!

What you describe is not uncommon. You are very early in your surgical recovery. All sorts of nerves and tissues are still healing and are in the process of getting back to normal.

Try not to worry about this. With time, your post-op sexuality will likely return to what you enjoyed in the past.

Many s and Best Wishes,

i have tried the external thingy, and seems fine. the o is not quite as intense, but still working..which is a relief...
It's the internal that has nothing there..
Is that because the cervix is gone..??

I don't think it's related to the cervix per se. I had mine removed as well, and everything's ok there. Maybe hormones are connected - I see you had BSO??

Don't worry, I've read that there's both the numbness due to nerves being cut, and possible lack of hormones that can be adjusted if things don't improve (testosterone, estrogen creams). But I am sure that the body is not 100% at 6 weeks...give yourself time and don't add stress prematurely!
