No I still have ovaries.

What I read was that women more so than men often have major hair loss after anesthesia.

Its the anesthesia that causes this.

I was hysterical this morning and anyone would be had they had this much hair fall out.

I have been worried about it a long time so to have it get so much worse was really a blow.

Thank God I learned about this pretty fast.

I do notice more hair loss but not horrific. I drink wheat grass and it seemed to help with the iron. I just take one shot, 2 oz per day.

Been a while since I checked in. I was feeling a good bit better, started to do more and today I've been in a good bit of pain again. I've spent the majority of the day in the recliner.
the pain is mostly in the center of my abdomen and even aches when I reach to the table for my jug of ice water. Sigh...hopefully resting all day today will help!

Wow, the hair loss after anesthesia was something I'd never heard of before. I've been under general three times and never once was this mentioned. I googled it and sure enough; there it was! They really ought to at least mention it so women who DO experience it don't panic.

I'm doing well. I'm 27 days post op now. I have some pulling sensations under my left and right lap scars but usually after a busy day doing a lot. DH and I went for an hour walk this morning and I just finished washing my car. Now that I've had lunch and a break I have to strip the wax, touch up paint rock chips in the hood then polish and wax it. Don't know how far I'll get today - at least to the painting so it can cure for a day or two.

I'd started bleeding 10 days post op and that is pretty much done now. My doc wasn't concerned with it and just told me to keep up with the activities. Funny with all the bending and reaching and squatting to wash my car the only thing that bothered me was a cramp I kept getting in the arch of my foot!

Anyway - take care ladies! Good healing to you!

Georgia,

Hello my ladies!! How are you September princess doing? I think that the hair loss could be due to the anesthesia and the excessive blood loss. I lost quite a bit of blood during the opertion and they thought that they were going to have to do a transfusion but they said that my numbers were coming up and decided against it. I guess that I am glad. The problem that I have had thought is LOW BLOOD PRESSURE. Like 70/50 and that had lasted for a while, not to mention LOW BLOOD SUGER. I was told that the low numbers like this is due to the blood loss at the time of my surgery. This is crazy that all of this can happen and they will send you home the next like nothing. Once I get home and I am experiencing being really light headed and shaky I don't know what was wrong. I feel that if they are going to send us home they should at least tell us what we need to do when these systems occur. See what I am saying?

I was just wondering when are you September 17th ladies going back to work. I went for my check up last Thursday and she said that she would perfer that I take my six weeks off. I don't have a hard job. She even said No Hanky Panky!!! until I get back to her at my 6 weeks check up. She said that I still had a lot of healing to do and that she could still see the stitches and that I still had a lot of bloody discharge. So what is your opinion on this? I have an office job but my husbands aunt said that it is the stress of having to sit all day. It is a stressful job but not really physical. I would like to have any advice that you ladies can give me.
