Cool - Whats the deal with BioHRT? Whats the deal with BioHRT?

I see the advertisement on here and was reading a bit about it, anyone else take this? I am really worried about this HRT and would love an alternative. Less negative side effects. Its costly though, wonder if insurance covers it?

The deal is that it's very clever marketing. They are coordinating what many of us do on our own.

For what it's worth - I go a more "traditional" route: I go on symptoms alone and my regular gyn. prescribes me Vivelle dot (bioidentical), Prometrium (bioidentical) and testosterone gel (bioidentical). I get the vivelle and prometrium from my pharmacy and it's covered under my insurance. I get the testosterone from a compounding pharmacy - not covered but very affordable because I use a TINY amount (which is why I didn't test first - I had such a clear improvement when starting it and use it so judiciously).

All the talk about "bioidentical hrt" can sound very seductive to those of us looking for relief - any relief. The truth is that many hrt's available through the usual pharmaceutical sources are, indeed, bioidentical and quite affordable. If I'm not mistaken, good old oral Estrace can be had at your local big box store for $4 for a month's supply and is bioidentical. Read and research.

You didn't say which form of hrt you are currently on....

Thanks, I'll make a trip to the book store and hopefully find something.
Its just that 2 mos ago, this wasn't something I had to worry about, now I do. I never thought I would be worried about taking hormones.
