Ask doctor before waxing?

After 6 weeks post op check next week, I'm thinking about suprising my husband. I have made an apt to get a braziallian IF the Dr gives the OK for sex.

Do I need to ask the DR if its ok to get a brazillian, I will make sure to NOT get any wax close to my incision.

Any thoughts.

I think that sounds like a great surprise for him! I don't think it should be a problem 6 weeks out to get a wax. Just be careful w/ the incision I am not sure your doc would agree as I think they frown on the brazillian anyways. Thanks for the idea.

Ask doctor before waxing?

Hi Lyb,
I'm worried about going back to work at 6 weeks and you want to do a Brazilian? You're a brave woman! I've never had one but have heard that they put you in some pretty funky positions....I would definately check with the Dr before doing it....If you get the OK, good luck and let us know how it was!

Had one before the pain is horrible. I might just opt for a bikkin wax. But my husband loves the brazillian. So I'm thinking about it, have made an apt, but will discuss with my Dr before the apt.

I know not to allow wax any where near my incision, which seems to be healing pretty well on the outside,

I'm treating myself to manicure and pedicure after my 6 weeks check up.

Ask doctor before waxing?

I've tossed it around so many times it's not funny and I seem to stuck on the old fashioned method, a razor...Tried doing an at home bikini wax once and pulled the strip 1/2 way off and the pain was intense..Stupid me for stopping 1/2 way through because I still had to finish ripping it off..I couldn't bring myself to do the other side ... I go back to work on 10/8 and I'm also going for manicure & pedicure...I want to treat myself to something nice before having to go back to work....

I have been having brazalians done for a couple of years now. I had one done just before surgery since I knew it would be awhile before I could go back in for a clean up.

When I went in post op for my brazalian I did let the lady know that I had just had a hysterectomy (she knew before that I was having surgery) and she was careful when working near the incision.

I would definitely suggest to let them know that you have an incision and let them know if you are still having any tenderness so she will know where to be careful off.

Good luck at your 6 week check up.
