got my wig!!!!

Whew!!! Just in time. My hair really started its free fall on Thursday. Went to the wig
magician this afternoon to have the left overs buzzed to nothing. My wig is quite cute.
Beautiful color and a body perm to boot. So I can crimp it or blow it into my old style
bob. I kinda like the crimped look. Second chemo this coming Thursday. I'll be dosing up
on steroids a day in advance to hopefully ward off another Taxol reaction. Keep your
fingers crossed for me dear sisters!!! karenann ovcaIII

got my wig!!!!

Woohoo!!! Hugs (((Karen))))

Karen you are such a delight!! You have the most wonderful attitude, and are handling all this so well!!

I just bet your wig is beautiful! Its obviously made from real hair is it??? You mention blowing it dry, and I know you can't do that with the synthetic ones. Sounds great!! I looked into the real hair ones...but they are sooo expensive here.

The worst part of the synthetic ones is you have to remember to be so careful around the heat...I remember the first time I opened the oven door!!! Poof....I had instant frizz... I was able to put it in some cool water and conditioner and fix it though!Thank goodness.....I can laugh now...but I wasn't that day I can tell ya!!

Best of luck with the chemo on Thursday girl!!. Will say extra prayers that everything goes just fine for you!!
Love and hugs!!

got my wig!!!!

Hi, Karenann!

Your wig sounds great! I never knew you could do different things with one--I thought you were just stuck with one look (unless you had a lot of different wigs). I guess that wouldn't matter to me much. I've been wearing the same hairstyle for years and I never change it--very boring me.

I hope things go well on Thursday. How could they not with your attitude as wonderful as it is? You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

got my wig!!!!

I will keep you in my prayers!! Your wig sounds great!!! Wish that my hair was cute like that!! Another advantage is that you can see what the back of it looks like without having to get an extra mirror and bend 1/2 backwards in the mirror!
Keep your spirits up and know that we are all here for you!!

got my wig!!!!

{{Karen}}

Your wig sounds so cute! I just loved playing with all my wigs (at least if you had to wear them you can have some fun with em)

I sure hope your next treatment goes better for you and that the pre meds work well. We'll all be praying hard for a easier time for you. Please let us know how it goes when you can.

Keep up the great attitude!

Big {{hugs}}

Vicki
