Hysteroscopy yesterday- increasing abdo pain today?
Hi Ladies
I had my hysteroscopy yesterday morning, under general. It's now 10.30pm on day 2. I had a lot of nausea and vomitting yesterday but none today. But since about 4pm my stomach has started to hurt a lot, like its bruised.
It's been getting worse- at about dinner time we noticed there's a bruised area just to the side of my belly button (maybe 5-8cm from my navel) and thats where its hurting. A real sharp pain. Then as the night went on the pain has gotten worse, and I have three bruised areas. I had some stomach dull aching yesterday but this is like a sharp pain there all the time. I used a heat pack for a while and have just taken panadeine forte. I'm also really lightheaded, can't keep my eyes open because of it (not coz I'm tired, just real woozy), but I'm guessing this is normal stuff.
The discharge info said to ring them if I have worsening abdo pain etc, but my hubby thinks this isn't anything to ring about- that its just due to them swelling up my abdomen etc.
For those of you who've had one of these done- is it normal for this to be like this at the end of day 2? I really don't want to sit in the ER for ages if this is pretty standard recovery symptoms.
Any thoughts would be great.
Edited to say- by the way, they found no polyps or fibriods etc. They did a biopsy so we'll see what that says and they want an ultrasound of my c-section scar and uterus lining thickness. If all is ok we'll go ahead with the ablation in late Oct I think.

I would say give the doc a call. Tell them your symptoms and they will tell you whether they think it's something to worry about or not. At the very least, maybe they can do something for the nausea. I think you're better off to be "safe than sorry!"
Take good care and keep us posted on how you're feeling............

Hysteroscopy yesterday- increasing abdo pain today?
I had a hysteroscopy last May and I only had pain when I woke up in recovery, for which they gave me a shot and it went away. Nothing after that. I stayed home 1 day after and back to work the next.

i'd suggest you call the dr and let him know how much pain you 're in. i had no pain whatsoever after my hysteroscopy and d&c. some discomfort is probably normal but not pain and bruising.
