swollen hands

Hi Sisters,
I am just wondering if anyone has experienced swollen hands..or a numbing and tingling in their hands. My hands are swollen, they get tingly. When I lie down on my back they also get tingle and fall asleep.

What you are feeling is poor circulation, which could have to do with treatments. Your best bet, if you don't recieve other replies, would be to contact your doctor. He may want to be made aware of this either way. Take care!!

Hi Valentina,
I have this going on right now, and have had since around the first of Dec . As Cyd said it is circulation related. And in my case chemo related.

You really should let the doctors know you are experiencing this. I am on B6 for mine ( under Dr.'s approval) and although its helping somewhat its not gone completely. I have it in my feet as well.
My hands aren't swollen, but they were when it first started.

They tell me it may go away completely but may not. I don't notice it being worse when I lay down, but its always with me. The way I decribed it to the doctor was to say that my feet constantly feel like I am walking on carpet that has juice spilled on it and has dried. You know what I mean....like crunchy kind of feeling? And when my hands get really cold, they become quite white.
Anyway Valentina, please do contact your doctor and see what they say. I hope it eases up for you as I know how very annoying it is.
hugs!

Hi Valentina, you poor thing

Is it hormone related? That is just a thought as I know you were thinking of going off the hormones. I would definately give the Dr. a call. That is what they are for, especially after all this. Gee , I hope you feel better soon. Much love to you always x x

Hi, Valentina!

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Absolutely call the doctor. It may or may not be treatment related. It could be carpal tunnel or something similar. But you should have it looked at so you can get some treatment so it gets better. Good luck!

Valentina,

I've not had the swollen hands or feet. And I think it stinks that you are having problems. Let us know what the doctor says. Hang in there girl. It really is going to get better!!!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you're having this new trouble.

I had the numbness and tingling during the treatments which I also was given extra B6 to take. It kept the blood production up and certainly helped with this alot.

I quit taking the extra amount shortly after completing the treatments and haven't had any problems with it since that time. I agree, I would check it out with your Dr to see exactly what's happening.

Maybe they can give you some further ideas and hopefully something that will take care of it soon. I sure hope it does ease up soon.

Please let us know how it goes and know you're in our thoughts.

{{hugs}}
