Selfish??

I came from a family of 3 kids. I too myself wanted 3 kids. Thankfully having 1, and soon after having to have the hysterectomy at the age of 25. I still feel at loss about not being able to have any more, or feeling the joy of not having the feeling of being able to carry or produce more, I feel like im being selfish... ?? Due to this feeling of incompletness Im in a deep depression...

Selfish??

I am so sorry you have to go through this at only 25 years old but you are absolutely not being selfish. Of course be happy that you were lucky enough to have one child but that does not mean you are feeling the loss of not being able to have more of your own. It is too soon to think about but perhaps in the future you may want to adopt so that so lucky little boy or girl will get to have a mom that I know will love the child just like her own. I am lucky enough to have two boys but yes I still felt bad that I could not have the third one I had always wanted. I am sorry you are in a deep depression and possibly you need to speak to someone about it. Please know that you are not alone. I am sending you lots of hugs and know there are many people on this site that are here to help you. I hope you feel better soon.

Selfish??

(((Vegas)))

I am so sorry for your feelings of loss and depression. There are many here who can relate to these feeling you are having and they are very common emotions.

Grieving is part of healing and this takes some time. I would find someone to talk my feelings out with, that understand what you are going through. Counseling and talking to your doctor can help if the depression is keeping you from living a normal life and you are finding yourself lost.

We are here for you, and we are good listeners if you want to share your feelings here.

Selfish??

Vegasfast26...

You are not being selfish at all. I have my hyst about 3 months ago at 26 years and I've no children. I do not have any ill feelings because you had a child. A loss is a loss regardless and no one can begrudge your right to grieve.

Take care of yourself!
