I heard last night on the news that even though watermelon is 92% water, the redder the meat in it, the higher the cancer fighting agents in it are!! So ladies, it appears that we should all indulge in watermelon and this is the time of year for it!! YUMMY!!
Personally I can only eat so much of it before my throat starts to bother me...allergies are the pits!!

Thanks Cyd!

Well, this is certainly something I'm willing to try! I just watermelon!

I've never heard of this either but hey whatever helps! Sorry to hear you've got troubles with allergies, especially food allergies! I think I would be a very cranky gal if I couldn't eat something I loved!

How about tomatos, I've read they have some good cancer fighting agents in them. Can you have those?

{{hugs}} gals!

P.S. Yep, Robyn, laughter is a very good thing for us all! So glad that after everything everyones been through we all can still find laughter in our lives! As Martha would say, "It's a good thing!"

I thought is was great to hear that something we liked to eat could actually be a cancer fighter so I just had to share it here with you all!! I had to wonder when I first heard it on the news, and then thought "Hey something that I actually like....this has GOT to be true!"
As for tomatoes, the only ones that I can eat are from my own garden and that is because we don't spray them with anything. I can't help but to think that a lot of my problems are the pesticides used on the farms. No matter how much I wash store bought produce I still have some sort of a reaction. Oh well, it's cheaper from my own garden anyways!
