Just a little bored today

My home health nurse said that with a TAH, they stretch the Skin and muscles so far to get a good view of the site, that they can be very sore or bruised.

Not only that, but about four years ago I fell on a Sun Tea jar and broke it and cut up my hand and arm. That skin was very tender, even where it hadn't been cut. I think the nerves are sensitized by the trama of being cut or damaged and those cells are very long. they can make the area around a trama very sensitive as well.

My skin is sore, for sure and very tender. Try rubbing it with Lanacaine if your doctor permits. That is a Topical pain reliever that works well for me.

Wow! You are all much more active than me. I thought that I was doing a lot but not like you. Sometimes getting up every five minutes to let the dogs in and out just wears me out.

We have a big festival going on in our town this week. I had hoped to drive down and walk around one afternoon but I just haven't felt like it.

I cooked most of dinner tonight. I already miss my husband doing it. He did put a casserole dish in the oven and took it out for me. It was a little heavy.

I also love sudoku. I've worked them to death in the last two weeks and can hardly take them anymore. I've read four books too. I am going to the library to get some more tomorrow. Any James Patterson fans out there?

Just a little bored today

I am trying to read James Patterson 'Judge and Jury". i just don't have the same level of concentration i use to have. i haven't done one suduku puzzle and I love them. I haven't worked on my nieces baby quilt...nothing. I'm bored but don't have energy to actually do anything. It's so annoying.
I did make dinner last night. I browned meatballs to go with the baked ziti that my work had delivered to us. But I am not lifting and that's what I use the teenagers for. Hopefully taking it easy now will pay off in another week or so.
Mjm - have fun at the library...Sandra Brown is good too.
Take care, M

Just a little bored today

Thank you girls... I really enjoyed to know that I am not the only one who is terribly boredom, in the beginning I thought it would be good to be 4 weeks at home w/o doing anything. My Mother in lawn is here and she is taking care of the house/laundry/and dinner, and I have to admit, she is doing a wonderful job. My house is spotless!!! But I tired of watching TV so much, to read so much, to be in the computer so much.... and I thought that I was so tired of my previous "routine"... can you believe that I am missing it????? I like the advice of going out for awhile... I am asking a friend to drive me to the nearest Wall Mart/Target/Mall ... whatever.. just to get out of the house....

At least we have one another here. thanks girls!!!

I'm BORED too!!!

Can't wait to go back to work. Someone else here said she was bored but has no energy to do anything. That's me all over the place. The house is a pigpen and all I've managed to do today is go to lunch with oldest DD!

Ugh!!!

Yeppers me too! I went to lunch with two friends and haven't gotten anything accomplished today, why is that? I have plenty of energy and it's a beautiful day out there.

Just a little bored today

Hi Ladies, What a great thread. I had my TVH with repairs done Sept. 19th. I am feeling pretty good most days but if I overdue it that familair back/buttock pain returns. Life at home has gotten boring here too. Lotte, I couldn't help chuckling at your comments cause I wake up thinking the same thing. What CAN I do today? Right now I'm worried when I have to go back to work. I'm on my feet all day. Will I be able to handle it? I still have 3 and a half more weeks. Hope it will be ok.
