Hello ladies...

I was wondering if anyone is having trouble with thier legs. My lower back hurts and I feel like my legs are asleep. They are tingling from the thigh doun to the tops of my feet. When i sit my back hurts worse and the tingling is worse as well. When I stand they still tingle but not as bad. I just emailed my doctor because he is out of the office right now. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

Hi Lisa I am glad you are able to rest tonight after your first day. I bet you are right, it will be great when the weekend comes!

Jenn I have had back pain but no issues with my legs. My first reaction is to say it sounds like nerves. I will be interested to hear what your doctor has to say. Do you sit or stand for your job? Does it require lifting? I hope you are able to get an answer and some rest.

Have a nice evening!

Hi Ladies,
I am back from vacation and just finished catching up on all the posts since Thanksgiving, wow we are a "talkative" bunch.

Vacation was great and I was actually able to sleep for 8 hours straight, I guess the rocking of the cruise ship relaly helped with that.

I went to the radiology oncologist today and they marked up my body and I start radiation treatments on Friday. We shall see how they go, everyone seems t think they are a piece of cake but I am starting to freak about this now that it is getting real for me.

I usually love Christmas but I am not into it this year, I am not even sure I want to put up the tree, it is so much work and my DH hates to do it so that leaves me and I have no desire to tackle it. I may change my mind but I doubt it.

I am glad to see most of us are getting back to normal what ever that means. I am supposed to be out of work until my treatments are completed but I think I will try to work part time while I do the treatments, I am bored and think I need to occupy my mind. I just may call into a few calls this week, I work from home so its not like I need to drive to an office or anything.

Well let me go check the rest of my email, talk to you tomorrow.

Welcome back Suki!! I am very glad you are sleeping well. I understand about the tree. You did not mention children so I don't think you have any living at home. If there are not small children I don't see why you should not handle the decorations in whatever way you choose. Don't feel guilty about whatever decision you make. Your physical health & mental health are more important than one year's Christmas decorations. Do what feels right to you. The same with work. Just listen to your body and don't wear yourself out. You know you can count on coming here for support anytime!
Talk to you tomorrow.

Good morning

We are supposed to get another 2-5 inches of snow today. I'm having a cup of coffee and enjoying a little quiet time before I wake the kids up.

Jan we did get the tree decorated. We took our time and had a lot of fun. The kids actually did most of it. I will probably do a few tweaks today. The chili was good. I'm glad your dr didn't find anything serious. I hope you were able to get a good nights sleep and I hope you have a good morning at work.

Lisa I hope you were able to enjoy a little quiet time last night with the dh and ds gone.

Suki glad to hear from you and glad you had a good trip. You should do whatever you feel like with the tree. Maybe if you don't feel like putting a big tree up, you could just get a table top tree.

Tina I'm glad you were able to get your tree up. I bet it is beautiful. Good luck on your first day back at work today. I hope it goes well.

Jenn my lower back hurts when I do too much, but I don't have tingling in my legs.

I will check in later. I hope everyone has a good day.

Hi to you all,
Well we had quite a snowfall yesterday. We ended up with 14 inches and it's still snowing lightly. So yesterday, my husband spent most of the day shovelling. I did a bit, but mainly supervised my hubby and our puppy . We had beef stew for an early dinner - we always like this kind of "stick to your ribs" meal, when there is a storm.

Good to hear from those who are back to work - take it easy you guys and glad to see things are progressing well.

Jan: Good to hear the news from your visit to the doctor. Also glad to see, sleep issues are starting to resolve. Hope you are not overdoing things at work. By your posts, you seem to be a very caring person. i just hope you will think of your health first, when it comes to work. Take care.

Cindy, wow scary episode - glad to see nothing serious happened in the end.

Suki - glad to see you had a nice vacation - welcome back! Also, keep us posted on your trreatments - my heart goes out to you. PS: I also have a kind of aversion to the christmas tree. As there are no kids around, I don't really feel the need to put one up - plus, I think my dog would take it down in the middle of the night!

Wackadoo: let us know if you talk to your doctor about your legs issue. When I get up in the morning, I have, kinda, shaky legs, but for only a few seconds, then it passes. Could it be something like restless legs syndrome, I've read some posts from ladies who have experienced this. Keep us posted.

I guess this thread will soon be moved to the "Date club". Don't forget everybody, you'll find this thread in the forum list under "Hysteritaville - Wellness Post Hysterectomy " sub directory "HysterSisters Club House" click on "date clubs" and there you should find Hysts between Oct 1-8th 2007.

Take care everybody!

Hi Cindy thank you. I hope it starts that trend too!

Hi Linda, Thank you and I am trying to balance looking after myself and my clients! Please feel free to remind me again if you see me starting to slip, because I may very well need that reminder. Beef stew sounds terrific. I might think about that later in the week. I have 2 or 3 recipes we really like for that dish. Thank you for the reminder about the move. One of these days I know if I can't find the thread I will check there.

This afternoon I feel pretty fatigued. I think I will rest for ahile. I'll check back later.

Linda beef stew sounds great. I made it last week, I believe. There are so many good winter meals. I have a round steak in the crock pot cooking in gravy. You did get alot of snow. It's snowing here right now.

Jan I hope you are getting some rest.

Take care
