Hi everyone,

As you might have noticed, I enjoy reading how all of you are doing. I haven't posted because I don't have children at home anymore and am divorced so feel I don't have much to post. A little older than you guys too.

Lucille, I wish the best for you and am grad for you that your treatments haven't any bad side effects.

I am enjoying the recipes with I have kept but wondering about the taco liquids, are they small cans?

I do have one thing in common with you all , I was having bad sleepness nights also but for the first time last night, I sleep the whole night and didn't even wake to go to the bathroom.. what and accomplishment

Sorry to hear about those of you who were without electricity. I live in the north county of NY and had the most snow I think we have every had at this time of year. We got 23" on Sunday besides all the other snow days we've had.

Take care everyone!!

Hi all!
I am feeling better today. Me love the Z-pac. DH and I will go shopping tonight to finish up last minute things. I'm making the chicken pot pie I was supposed to make last night. I did not sleep well again last night. I'm tired, but hoping to take a short nap later.

sas that is too scary about your son. I've read that anyone can develop an allergy anytime even if they haven't had trouble in the past. I'm glad he is better. Even though he doesn't have insurance, is there a care line # or something you can call to just see what they say about it.

Suki thanks for the recipes, I will definitely be trying them. I am so happy you have been getting sleep.

Joan I hope you will keep checking in with us. I'm really glad you got a good nights sleep. You have an incredible amount of snow!

Well I'm off to run a couple of quick errands.

Have a good day ladies!

Joan C
I just dump the entire contents of the beans but I drain the corn. It makes a huge pot of soup I guess you can use small cans if you can find them just keep the ratio the same as the original recipe.

Hi ladies,

My DH has to work late again tonight, so I ended up getting the teacher gifts and exchange gifts today. Then we wrapped everything tonight. So my DS tells me an hour ago about a game they are playing tomorrow. They have to put a small object in a small box and then keep putting boxes inside of boxes. Here's the good part. They are supposed to wrap them tight with masking tape so they are hard to open. ( they will be exchanging them and opening them for fun) I searched the house up and down and could not find one piece of masking tape, packing tape etc. Since we live in a small town, not much is open in the evening and you're probably going to pay $10.00 for a roll of tape. So, after I spend a half hour looking for tape, it dawns on me to call DH and see if he has any at work. His reply, "sure honey, would you like me to bring some home"? Why didn't I call him in the first place?
This is end of year time for DH at work, so he has to work late alot, so things are hectic at home.

Tomorrow we are having a Christmas brunch at school and I have to help set up and serve. (Did I already tell you all that? I think I'm losing it). Optometrist called this afternoon and DS glasses are in so I have to go pick those up first.

I hope you are all having a good night. Sleep well.

Hi ladies,

Long day at work today. Glad there is only one more day until the weekend! I just put my GD to bed. I am just going to straighten the kitchen and then check out a movie. My husband on shift and it was just me and the little one so I just warmed up leftovers for dinner.

Cindy I am glad you are feeling better, but I am sorry you can't sleep. I hope that goes better tonight. Have fun tomorrow, but try not to completely wear yourself out.

Suki thanks for the recipes! I will be trying both of them. I am glad you are sleeping a little better!

Sas that was scary about your son. Even if he can't get in to the doctor maybe you could just run it by your GP and see if he has any advice about what he should do, just becasue allergies can be so dangerous. I am allergic to shellfish and I know it can be a real pain to have to watch out for the ingredients in things. I hope things went well with your MIL. She sounds like a real sweetheart.

Joan it was nice to hear from you! Hang in there with all that snow. Are you still doing your walking? You are surely a brave lady if you are still out everyday in all that.

Well off to that straightening. I hope you all have a great evening and best wishes for good sleep to all!

Good evening everyone,

I wanted to do so many things before going back to work. Finally I didn’t go skiing, I was too tired after dog training. You guys thanks for asking about my return to work. Well yesterday was pretty tough for a first day. Between my 11 hour shift and the horrible 3 hour drive to and from because of more snow (!) and traffic, I got back home, had some dinner my husband had prepared and went right to bed. Today traffic and the weather were back to normal, but I still had my shift. At least I’m off for 3 days and go back only on Dec 24-25 (yeah I work Christmas, but I don’t mind).

Wow Suki, with that amount of iron, no wonder you're constipated. I’m glad you’re doctor has agreed to reduce the amount, but make sure you stick to your resolution to eat better. Make sure you have vit C foods with your iron rich food, it increases the absorption (like cooked tomatoes / sauce with beef or orange juice with iron rich cereal. Thanks for sharing the taco soup, sounds really good. Glad to hear your treatments are going well.

Jan, nice to hear you had a nice evening out at the Mexican restaurant. You sure are full of meal suggestions, I really enjoy reading what you are preparing! I’m looking for a smiley that’s rubbing it’s belly, can’t find one…On your question about discharge, I sometimes have whitish discharge.

Hyper, that party with the kids sounds fun and delicious too! You seem to never stop! I hope your sleep gets back to normal. So many days my plans turn to nothing, I can relate to what you said! Sorry to hear about your sinus infection and hope you feel better before Christmas – rest too! I was reading a comic strip of kids telling mom at the last minute of whatever they needed for a school project for the next day, it made me think of you guys. Take care there

Sas, sorry to hear about your DS’ allergy reaction. Food allergies can develop at any age. Be sure sees a doctor and maybe have an epipen for emergencies. Be sure you don’t get too tired out. You’re another who never seems to stop!

Joan C, nice to hear from you. I can relate to your snow woes. I don’t have children, but am “Mommy” to my golden retriever. Keep in touch.

Sorry for the long post…

Hope you sleep good, or at least better, tonight ladies.

Good morning ladies,

Only 1 break in the sleep last night. So we are getting closer. Friday, YAY!! I am so looking forward to no forced early morning. I am hoping to get some hemming, laundry, and house cleaning done this weekend. We'll see, for some reason still tired and sore most days this week. I am also not happy because one of the Christmas gifts i ordered online still has not arrived. I am very much hoping i see a box when i arrive home this afternoon!

Linda I am glad you ae going to have a 3 day break. I can imagine starting back to 11 hours was difficult. I would have been straight to bed also I am sure!! I hope you don't have that commuting trouble again. There was a 3 year span 2002 though 2005 where I commuted 3 hours a day round trip. It was long most days, but during wintery weather it was brutal, so I really do feel for you.

Thank you for sharing about the discharge, it keeps me from worrying my head off. This time i have stayed calmer and not felt the need to call the doctor, but I still wish it would stop. I don't have ovaries or anything else left in there so it would seem it should go away at some point! I really enjoy hearing the meal suggestions from all of you ladies as well. Normally I would have pizza tonight since it is Friday, but my DH called last night and he was having a long day/night at the firehouse like I did yesterday. So i decided to make some Italian wedding soup. Meatballs were already made in my freezer so the rest was pretty easy. made me think of you Suki, because I put lots of spinach in mine. I will stop after work to get a loaf of fresh bread and we will be set. If I remember I may stop and rent a movie for him. A warm bowl of soup and a comedy to make him laugh will fix him right up.

Cindy and Sas don't wear yourselves out today!! Linda I hope you enjoy your free day. Suki I hope you slept well and feel well after your treatment today.

I better stop yakking and get ready for work.

You ladies are The BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon,
Jan!! I hope your package arrives today too!!!

Traveling time was back to usual smooth, about an hour, which is fine. I always listen to my favorite CD’s or this show on radio I like. Our furnace stopped working this morning, so we had to call a service man. It was 64F. Good thing, I had to go out, I finally got an appointment for the osteopath for this morning. It did me some good, but I’ll need a few more treatments before I get any real results. She told me my sore neck could be due to the hyst, with the way the bladder is reattached, it affects the lower back, and as the song goes, one thing is connected to that thing, etc…She rubbed pretty hard around my scar. I was a little nervous and protective, but it didn’t hurt. I’m very much into alternative medicine as well as conventional care.

By the time I got back, the furnace had been fixed and didn’t cost us anything because we have a service contract YEAY. My husband is gone Christmas shopping. We found out yesterday, my husband’s brother will be with us for Christmas, so now I’ll have to do some unplanned shopping and cooking in preparation of his stay with us. At least we are all going over to my husband’s sister for Christmas dinner; he’ll pick me up after work. Also I have to prepare stuff for the work Christmas potluck. I was designated for punch. I have no idea what to do, I don’t drink that stuff. Guess I‘ll be searching through my cookbooks and the internet. Any suggestions??

Take care everybody and have a nice day, especially you busy moms.

Hi everyone,

Just finished a couple of batches of peanut brittle and it is so good, had to taste it your know... Will be giving it out to people. I will be going to my sons for Christmas, 5 hrs. away. Can't wait to see my 4 grandkids. I love Christmas morning with them. Then we go to my daughters sister house for an Italian Christmas dinner. Jan, I think that you said you make the Italian Christmas eve and day dinners. I have a sister who also does this and I love to go to her house. Been there twice for this.

Murph, 64F would be heavenly for me. I walked this morning with a wind chill of 7F. You mentioned you are seening an osteopath and telling you things are reattached, well I think that they attached something to my spine because directly in back of my belly button my spice hurts whenever I benk over. I think that when they polked in they went to far and hit my spice. I ment to ask my gyn Wed. when I saw him.

Cindy, did you see on Operah the demonstration with the woman pouring salt water in her nose and it coming out the other side..that was to help the sinuses. Salt water is really good for the throat also (gargle)

I'm glad that it is Friday for all of you that work. Try to relax if you get a chance.

Hope you all have a good nite sleep, mine was shortlived, went back to waking every couple of hrs.
