Well Good Morning Ladies.

We are having warm weather, it was 55 when I got up and is now 48 and going down. very windy. The sounthern counties have trees and lines down which is coming to our county. Some have lost electircity already, hope I don't. I finally had to dust off my treadmill and use it. The weather just won't co-operate...

Linda are you a Nurse? Nice that you dh cooks. I am single at this time but I always say that I my next husband will have to be able and like to cook, lol. Enjoy your new mattress.

Karen, where are you going on your camping trip? You must be one of the lucky ladies who have warmer weather. Have a wonderful time.

Grateful and all you other ladies with your house projects to be done are so funny. LOL Hope you get your handles on your cabinets soon.

Sas that was really a nice birthday celebration you had for your DH. I agree with Cindy, politics & (that kink of ) gas go together lol.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm doing pretty well...just sleepy...had some insomnia last night...ugh!!

Work has been really busy for me...at least it makes my day go by quickly though. My boss is off this week but she is in touch daily.

Yes, our mountains our beautiful. I work on the 21st floor and the view is so awesome. The rain has stopped but it has been cold. I have the heater going in the car in the mornings when I'm driving to work.

Jan - I hope your bladder issues heal on their own. Take care and be careful.

Sas -no problem about typing snapper..I'm sure I do snap at times...LOL!!!

I did read the 3 month checkpoint. I"m not on any HRT due to my diabetes...my dcotor decided that it was for the best. I do deal with hot flashes and mood swings. I'm worried about too about the bone loss. I have achy bones. At my dcotor appt on the 28th, I'm going to ask my primary doctor to request a bone density test so we have a baseline to see where I'm at.

Well dd is back at school and we are getting back into the routine of homework and stuff.

Well back to work...have a great day ladies.

It is foggy and gloomy here today. The rain has stopped for now and the valley fog is upon us. I cannot wait for spring
Jan, I'm glad you got some good news at your appointment. I hope the bladder issue gets better for you.
I'm off to work here in a minute. I just wanted to stop by and catch up on the posts. I hope everyone has a great day.

hi all, and joan i am in nz and we are in our summer holidays, so are going camping in to a nice place up past auckland.
this must be one of the hottest summers and driest for along time as it usually rains the whole dec and jan and fines up when kids go back to school in feb. So this is marvellous to have such good weather.

I had my lump cut out of my back yesterday and it isn't as sore as last night and i still slept well, amazing.
i have to wait til mon for results to lump, but doctor said it was little and got all of it.
My husband cooks too and we often prepare meals together, my motherinlaw had a breadmaker and wasn't using it anymore so she gave it to us, john(hubby) and i make the bread at night and it's lovely to wake up to home made bread.
My daughter has a friend staying for a few days so we will probably go do a bit of shopping today.
I know all your house projects some of you are doing will get finished , we did all that last year too and all of a sudden it was done, just keep working on it bit by bit.

Hi everybody,

So nice to read from all of you. By now, it seems I know you and can kinda figure out how you choose your nicknames. All your renos stories are very funny and I can certainly relate. Me and my husband are nil in the house repairs/reno department. So we wait until we are fed up with a certain problem, then, just hire someone to get it done. There is a good reno company out here called Hire-a -Husband!
Sas – Your DH BD sounds great, nice to see you all had fun. I work at the Border security at the airport. No complaints about the schedule, but when I work (never more than 2 days in a row), that’s all I do. TG I just me and my hubby. He’s at home, does most of the housework, meals and laundry, we have a perfect arrangement! I’m enjoying 2 days off now.

Joan, having the same weather, we must be close. For now we have power, but no satellite for the TV on account of the high winds I assume, good thing we have lots on the PVR (like Tivo).

Karen, glad to see everything went fine yesterday, keep us posted on the results. Waking up to freshly made bread sounds wonderful. Mmmm, maybe I’ll have to get one of those machines.

Hyper, hope your feeling better.

Tonight I’m on dinner duty, making tilapia (fish) with rice and peas.

Enjoy a nice evening and restful night too.

Hi Ladies

Well it was a very buy doctor day for me. Radiation in the morning followed by urologist and then gyn/surgeon emergency visit. I could not stand the pain any longer and the radiology team seemed to say its just a reaction form the radiation well get this I have a urinary tract infection, a yeast infection and a large lesion in my vagina. Needless to say I am now taking antibiotics, 3 doses of difulcan, some sort of vaginal cream that I need to pick up tomorrow and best of all vicodin for the pain.
My gyn told me he hasn't seen anything like this in years, he said he couldn't believe I hung in there since Friday with the pain I am having. I told him I didn't want to sound like a wimp but this thing hurt like heck, I would rather have another surgery then go thru this pain. He said you are no wimp that lesion alone would send people to the ER.

Well hopefully the meds will kick in soon. The doctor told me applying the cream is going to hurt I told him nothing can hurt as bad as what I feel right now.

OK enough whining...

Crockpot chicken side dish---I usually serve it over brown rice and a side salad, its probably to late for your dinner tonight but I had to answer the question

I hope the eggplant lasanga came out good, I love eggplant that way even though I am not crazy about regular lasagna.

DH can't cook to save his life so when he heard what the doctor said about the pain I am having he said your not cooking we can go and grab something out, he loves breakfast food and would rather eat at home so I said lets go to Perkins and have breakfast for dinner, eggs benedict, yum.

Your stories about rennovations make me laugh, we added about 2000 square feet on to our house 2 years ago so my parents can come live with us. I lived with no kitchen from August 3 through December 1, you would be surprised how many different things you can cook on a BBQ and a hot plate. For Thanksgiving that year I bought a rotisserie cooker and made a small turkey on that and made a pot of soup on the hot plate , we even had stuffing on the BBQ. I had to use a lot of imagination to come up with meal ideas, not to mention washing dishes in the bathroom sink, thank God for paper products.

Well I am going to take one of those pain pills and go to sleep talk to you tomorrow

Hello All!

I can not believe this is the first chance I have had to post. I had a busy work day and then I had to go back to the eye doctor for the optical appt. It took me a really long time, but I finally picked out a frame. It is rimless and the arms and bridge are a burgundy metal. I hope they are comfortable because I could not believe the price! The frame was not very expensive but my lenses cost a fortune. The total price was $532! I won't be buying another pair for quite sometime, I guarantee that. I had to stop and get a birthday card for my oldest dd because her birthday is tomorrow. Then I came home, we ordered some pizza for dinner since it was so late, and now I am waiting a half an hour until gd gets back from the visit with her dad.

Sas your dh's bday party sounded very fun. I loved ythe description of you dh. He certainly sounds like a keeper.

Joan I hope that your weather returns to something more walk friendly soon.

Scrapper did your doctor say anything about an osteoporosis pill like Boniva or such? My gyne had told me that when I am done with estrogen I would still have to take one of those to prevent bone loss.

Murph I have a Zojirushi bread machine and I would recommend it. All the bread I have ever made in it has come out great. I have made bread by hand many times, well actually I knead it in my mixer, and I think the machine bread is just as tasty. My DH's favorite fish is tilapia. He would have been happy to join you.

Karen, glad to see everything went fine yesterday with your back, keep us posted on the results.

Cindy I hope your headache is better, and I am glad you were able to have a restful day.

I hope all you ladies have a great evening.
Sleep well!

Hi Suki,

I must have been typing when you posted. I am so glad you went and got checked out! Pardon my ignorance here, but did that lesion come from the radiation?? Wherever it came from you are no wimp. I can't imagine how you lasted as long as you did without going to the er. I have had yeast and ut and neither of them are very good untreated, I can imagine that all together. I am glad you were given pain meds to help you through it.

Your DH is a sweetie and I am glad you enjoyed the eggs benedict.

I wish you a good restful night with alot of healing. I hope you begin to feel improvement soon.

hi everyone!

Our cable and internet has been down since this afternoon. Don't know what the problem was, but it's apparantly fixed now. I got every piece of laundry done today. Everytime I walk past my laundry basket I take a good long look at it's emptiness, because tomorrow it will be full again.

suki I did serve rice and cornbread. It was delicious and easy. Thanks for the recipe. I'm so sorry you had to endure that pain. I hope now with the meds you will be feeling better soon. I like to have breakfast for dinner sometimes too.

Jan you're frames sound nice. We must have excellent insurance. When my son got his glasses all we had to pay was a 10.00 copay. You have been a busy lady. I hope you sleep well tonight.

Murph you have a interesting job. I love hearing what you working ladies do. Your DH sounds wonderful. We have alot saved on our Tivo. It came in handy tonight. I hope you enjoy your days off.

Joan I hope you will be able to get back to walking soon.

Karen I think that is so nice that you and your DH prepare meals together. I hope all goes well with the results.

I hope you are all having a relaxing evening and sleep well.

Mrs Willie,
We think the lesion came from the radiation my doctor said it was so bad he didn't even want to insert the speculum but I told him no go in and find everything that is wrong now I can take the pain, that is when he said I also had the yeast infection. I guess when it rains it pours.
The radiation team thinks its odd that anything can live in there with all the radiation I am getting but I guess I have super strengths of infection that are resisting the radiation, lucky ole me.

I slept well last night but I guess vicodin does that to you, its funny because after surgery I took no pain meds, I didn't even take an RX home from the hospital in case I needed it, I took 2 alleve the first night and that was it. When I asked the doctor for a pain RX yesterday he said for you to be asking for pain meds it must be really bad. I said I would rather have another surgery then this so yeah it hurts A LOT.

Hyper glad you liked the chicken, that is a tasty and easy meal for sure.

Scrapper my doctor told me in about 10 years I will need to worry about taking Boniva or something like it but for now I am OK

Oh well need to shower and go for treatment, talk to you later.
