Hello Ladies,

I am getting a slower start on the day than I had planned. It was dark a good sleep in day. I took a long time over breakfast with DD and GD now I need to get into gear and get dressed. I need to spend at least a few hours entering data. Probably mixed in with some laundry. Not fun stuff but I need to get a jump on the yucky stuff if I am ever going to have any relaxing time next week. I am going to make brats and sauerkraut for dinner.

I hope you are all having a good day. Scrapper Good luck on your trip!!!

Good morning ladies!

I had a surprise this morning. DH is off work today. He swears he told me, but I have not recollection of that. It's good though. The kid's cleaned their rooms this morning. I had planned on doing alot more cleaning, but since DH is home, we'll finish up on Monday and then have the rest of the week to play. Another surprise when I woke up and looked out the window. It's snowing and we have about 6 in. so far. It's supposed to snow through this evening. What a lovely way to begin spring. I'm not sure what we'll be doing today. Tonight we will be going to Good Friday service at church.

Jan I hope you will be able to get your work done, so that you can enjoy some of your vacation. Is your son going to college out of state?

I hope you all have a great day.

Hi Cindy,

No my son is going to Southern Illinois University. It is in Illinois just across from the Kentucky border. It is 6 hours from where we live so it is still kind of a trip for us, especially since we have to bring little GD!

Nice surprise that DH is home. I hope so about the project too. I got a good start today but I am stopping for now. Maybe I will do some more later.

Enjoy the service tonight and do be careful in that snow.

Hi Ladies!

This is the first time I've sat down since this morning. DH took the kids out for a fun day today. I hadn't even done my shopping for Easter baskets, so I went and did that. When I came home I made up the baskets and filled the hunting eggs. Then I decided to clean the rest of the house. It is so nice to have it done. When the kids get home we are going to color eggs. Tomorrow we'll get up and the kids will search for their baskets. Big dh likes to still get a basket, but he doesn't get into the Easter bunny hiding it. lol I just put it in his room. He won't do the easter egg hunt anymore either. Anyhow, then we'll get ready and go to church. When we get back the little ones will go on their egg hunt. Then we are going out for Easter brunch. I've always cooked a ham on Easter, but this year DH suggested we go out for brunch. I didn't argue there! Everyone should be home in about an hour, so I'm going to relax a bit. DH will feed the kids and I'm eating leftovers, so no cooking tonight! yay!

Jan you're right, that still is a hike! Especially with a little one.

Karen even though I still have my ovaries, I have been getting hot flashed off and on. It probably would be a good idea to see your doc.

If I don't get back before tomorrow, I hope you all have a blessed Easter.

Hi There ladies,

I went shopping today. I bought a pair of jeans, a purse, a pair of shoes, and some new towels. Now I am washing the new towels. Little GD nap schedule is off and she is crabby. I hope she gets some good sleep tonight. We are going to Dh's sister's house for Easter and that is 2 hours from here, so a crabby GD won't be much fun. We had chicken for dinner.

Karen I think if you are not on HRT it is normal to sweat more, but Cindy is right ask the doc if you are worried.

Cindy it sounds like you have alot of fun planned tomorrow.

Enjoy your holiday everyone!

Happy Easter everyone...
Today has been a quiet day. DH and DS both are working. I have been working out in the backyard all afternoon. I still have to mow and then I'm done. When dh gets off we are going to bbq a tri tip and have a hash brown casserole, salad and garlic bread. Peach pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert
I hope everyone has a blessed day with their families.

Hi ladies!
We've had a nice Easter. We went to church then brunch and the kids had their Easter egg hunt. The brunch was so good. I was so stuffed! I actually took a little nap this afternoon. But now I kind of wish I had some leftovers to munch on. The Easter bunny was at brunch. We were sitting right next to where he was. Kids could have their pics taken for free. They had a polaroid so the kid's got their pic's right away. Little ds was so fascinated with that Easter bunny. He had his pic taken twice. They kept waving at each other. He said "The Easter bunny was really fuzzy!" It was really cute.

Jan I hope you have a nice Easter at DH's sister. Your shopping trip sounds fun. It's always nice to come home with something new.

Lisa your dinner sounds great! It's too bad dh and ds had to work, but it sounds like you'll have a good evening.

I hope everyone is having a nice Easter.

Hi Ladies,

We had a nice Easter. SIL made a huge dinner both a full turkey dinner, and a full ham dinner, plus tons of dessert. We are all stuffed. GD had an Easter egg hunt at her other Gmas and is thrilled with her basket full of eggs. She went to bed really late. I hope tomorrow is not a crabby day with her. My younger DD and I are supposed to go out shopping for a prom dress if all goes as planned tomorrow. I am tired now. I am going to see if DH is about ready to hit the sack.

Cindy your day sounds like it was great. Your little ds story made me smile.

Lisa your meal sounded fantastic. I am glad you got to be in your yard. I know you love that.

Sleep well.

Hi Ladies,
It's been a while since I posted, iam trying to keep up with all the posts but its getting tougher and tougher to to everything every day.
Well I am pretty much back to work, except for doctor appointments
i am working most of the day. I still get tired so my boss tells me to just go lay down, he really is a sweetie when it comes to taking the time I need to get better. As for the abdominal issues, they still don't really know what is causing my problems other then the radiation did it. I am going for a colonoscopy on April 3 and then I have an appointment with a urology gynocologist on April 17 to see if he can help wiht the bladder pressure, my oncologist suggested I see a gyn/urologist which is a VERY specialized field, he said they can take tests and pinpoint any problems better tehn a regular urologist can so I am going to give it a try. They keep telling me whatever is bothering me is not cancer, well tell you the truth I didn't think it would be I just want to get it fixed. It very well may be gastro related and the colonoscopy will tell us that, i can hardly wait for the prep, the actual test is not a big deal but drinking that stuff makes me gag just thining about it. I also wen tto a new dermatologist to see what he had to say about the stuff around my eyes, he seemed t othin kit was a simple thing, gave me a cotisone shot and some cream it is better but it has cleared up before and returned, I go back to him on March 31.
It has been a full year now since the fibroids strated giving me trouble and I cant wait until it is all behind me.

The oncologist said if it is not GI it could just be weak abdmoninal muscles, I asked for an RX for PT he told just go to a gym, well that stinks cause the trainers around here are useless, I will ask my PCP for an RX if he wont give it to me maybe my regular gyn will give it to me, so many doctors you would think one of them woudl give me an dRX for physical therapy to strengthen my abdomen.

Easter was really nice the grandkids came over and found lots of stuff the Easter Bunny left for them, they ate quickly and played with toys and kept asking is it time for dessert yet, oh to be a kid again!

Well I am calling it quits for the night, sleep tight!
