Good morning ladies!

It was hard to get up this morning. My house looks like a disaster! But get this all time first. DH said to me this morning that he was going to take the day off. He said he thought maybe we could clean the house together. I had to take his temp to make sure he wasn't delirious with fever! lol This ought to be interesting. I don't think I've ever seen him clean even a dish, so we'll see how it goes. I have to take big ds to get a haircut after school. I was planning on getting groceries today, but I guess I'll have to wait on that.

Jan I'm glad to hear that you all had a nice day yesterday and you got to do everything you wanted. I hope you have a smooth day at work.

Lisa I'm glad you got most of what you wanted to done yesterday. I hope you can finish up today. You are pretty tiny as well. Same here as far as 7 days until sleeping in everyday! I'm glad to hear your eyes are better.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies! Okay, so I was ALL wrong on my guesses except I did get close on Cindy. Lisa wins the prize on getting the closest to me. I am 5'8" 160 lbs (hey but I'm tall!!! LOL) brown shoulder-length hair brown eyes. In a few months I hope to be down to 140, will keep you posted! Funny (hope everyone takes it as funny) but I presume you are all white, we didn't discuss race. I'm african american (I prefer coffee with 2 creams to describe my color LOL) so no one guessed that but Lisa does get the grand prize. Lisa are you sure you aren't tall, I can't believe I had you all wrong?? Of course everyone sounds beautiful. I can't wait to hear how scrapper turns out!

Our power kept going on and off all day. We went to friends around the corner and theirs was doing the same thing. The food was SO good, friend's husband smoked a bunch of chicken, sausage and ribs. We had a nice time. DH had to work, so I brought him some food home. The cleaning was remarkable. She even did the laundry, washed the dishes, washed the windows. It was great and she is a sweetie.

Cindy- yeah I'd check my DH for delirum too if he said that but enjoy the extra set of hands, although rare. Hope you get it all done. I guess DH is feeling better. You need a crud-ridder. Have no idea what that is but you have had your fair share!
Jan-glad you got your washer fixed, although I'm not a lover of washing clothes, it's a necessity that we can't do without. I would've never picured you as being 4'11", you'd probably hit me at my chest! I will have to go look at your picture so I can see you now when I'm writing.

Lisa- hope you can get it all done with your day off. I'd be counting down those days to sleeping in right with you. I am glad your eyes are better hang in there. I told my mom about DH and his drama and she said you shoul've just told him to go lay naked on the deck and shut up. She's 10x funnier than I could ever be!

Well need to run an errand at lunch and go get robbed at the gas pump. TTYL!!!

2007 - Hysterectomy Oct 01, 2007 - Oct 08, 2007

Good morning ladies,

Well it sounds like everyone had a good weekend. It sure was nice having the extra day off. Our weekend was good and pretty relaxing. I also got lots accomplished at home...laundry, swept and mopped. We didn't make it to the movies after all, but dd and I watched The Bee Movie and Firehouse Dog. Both were cute. We bought a portable pool and set it up over the weekend. Dd got in yesterday even though it was on the cool side. She wanted me to get in and I finally gave in but for a a short while only because it was too cold for me. I know we will get great use out of it for the summer.

My best friend and I were supposed to go see Wicked on Sunday evening. She called me in the morning to tell me that she was sick with a toothache and her cheek was swollen too. Long story short...the tooth needs a root canal and the antibiotic made her sick to her stomach. So dd took her place and we went to see Wicked. We both enjoyed it so much. It is awesome!!! I got more tickets to go with my best friend for the end of June. I went to vist her yesterday and took her some flowers to brighten her day.

Mrswillier - that is too bad about the weather at your team event. I would have been miserable too. Glad you got things accomplished over the weekend. My position is year round so I don't get a summer break. I only get time off when I take my vacation. How was the parade?

Lisa - hope your eyes are getting better with each day. Dd wants to see Narnia too. We saw the first one and really enjoyed it. Glad you had a good weekend too.

Grateful - Congrats to ds on completing 8th grade. Dd graduates on June 12th from 8th grade. Can you believe it's on to high school for them? Enjoy your clean house...which reminds me I need to call my cousin to see when she's available to come clean my house. I have black shoulder length hair, brown eyes and 5'5"...wish I were thinner..have about 50 pounds to lose....work in progress..

Hyper - how nice of your dh to take the day off and to offer to help clean. When I was cleaning this weekend I put dh's slippers and tennis shoes in the hall leading to the bedrooms so he could put them away. A couple of times I went to that part of the house I noticed they were still on the floor where I left them. Now mind you he had walked past and over them several times...ugh!!!! Finally he put them away.

Well back to work. During lunch I have to go to the post office...I realized I'm out of stamps and need to mail some things out. I brought leftovers for lunch...a burger. We grilled burgers last night with corn on the cob. Turned out good. Have a great day everyone.

Hi girls!

O.K. so after I take the kids to school this morning I get back and DH has Big DS's video system all set for little ds and has him playing a game. I'm thinking o.k. what's up with that because that is a big no no with big DS. Well, DH thought it would be a nice idea since he was so nice to stay home and help me clean if we could have a little "game time" first. So, I'm just focused on cleaning, but hey. But he was sneezing all over the place this morning, so I told him he couldn't breathe one single breath on me or even come anywhere near my face. So this is really terrible, but just for a little bit during game time I'm thinking I don't know if I really want him to help me clean, he's just going to get in my way and tick me off. So I have a plan. Can you tell I wasn't really focused on the game. I'm not going to get wife of the year award. So after I say I have a great idea. Why don't you have a daddy son day with little ds and I'll stay home and clean. Well DH did not hesitate to say that was a great idea!! Hmm...I'm wondering if he really wanted to stay home to clean or just butter me up for some game time. LOL Anyhow it worked out great. I'm all done cleaning and I still have a little time before I pick the kids up from school. So, I'm in a pretty good mood right now. Big ds tells me this morning that he has a bad earache, so I made an appt. for the dr after school then he'll get a haircut.

Grateful I love how you described your color. I don't think I'm going to spell it right, but I'm caucasion. You are much taller that I pictured. But, being as tall as you are 160 is a good weight. I'm glad you had a good time at your friends. How great to have a clean house, I'm happy you decided to go with a cleaning gal. I do need a crud-ridder. Actually I was thinking we should have a little quarantine room built and when anyone is sick they have to stay there. lol I can see where you get your humor! Your mom sounds great!

Scrapper I'm glad you had a good weekend. We've seen both of the movies you and dd watched. We enjoyed them too. I'm sorry your friend didn't get to go to the movie but I'm glad you and dd went. That was really sweet of you to get tickets for your friend and the flowers. I pictured you all wrong, but you sound lovely. I hear you about dh and picking up. My dh has a pile of clothes, socks, etc. laying on the floor on his side of the bed. I just leave them and eventually he'll say, can you wash these?

Well all of you ladies sound so lovely and Jan we know you are, because we've actually seen you! Thanks for describing yourselves. It's nice to at least have a little more accurate picture of you all. Have a great day ladies!

Well it's sure nice to be able to know what everyone "looks" like. Wouldn't it be a blast if we could all really meet in real life? Maybe one day

I only did my transporting job today and finished cleaning my house. Only 6 more days of school

After work I came home and weedeated and mowed the backyard. Now the yards are done for a week. It was cool today and I just looked out and it is sprinkling. Crazy weather.

Cindy it sounds like your dh might have had a plan all along LOL. Sounds like something my dh would pull. I'm glad you got all your house work done.

Scrapper it sounds like you got a lot accomplished this weekend in your house. Glad you enjoyed Wicked.

Grateful I'm so happy that I won the grand prize on my guess. I'm really sure that I'm not tall. Wish I was at times. At work I always have to get the darn ladder out to put up my signs. Just a few more inches would have been nice.

Jan I hope you had a good day today.

I need to go and get the dishes done for the night. It's garbage night, so I need to dump the kitchen trash and then I am done for the night.

Hi Ladies,

Well last night I had to crash early, I have come down with a cold. It is no wonder with this ridiculous weather. Sort of ruined poor DH's birthday though.

I am glad you all described yourself, you all sound fabulous! Grateful I sure am jealous of your height. I would love to have some of that. I also am one that needs to lose about 25lbs.

Well I better get dressed for work.

Have a good day.

Hi ladies!

Today was the kid's school track and field day. Little ds and I went and it turned out well. We had nice weather. I'm such a good mom, I didn't put any sunscreen on my kids because it was overcast with peeks of sun, but little ds got a sunburn on his face. Everyone including me is tired. It was a nice but long day. I'm either going to make spaghettti or chili for supper. Most likely spaghetti.

Jan I'm sorry you caught a cold. I think it's this crazy back and forth weather, like you said before. I hope you're feeling better today. Happy belated birthday to DH.

Lisa It would be great if we could all meet. Who knows, maybe someday. I think all of us are having crazy weather.

I hope you are all having a good day.

I am enjoying my peace and quiet. DH gets off at 8 and Andrew at 10. I get to do what I want to do.

After work I ran by the grocery store and then the strawberry patch to get some fresh fruit. I made a fruit salad to go with dinner and can't wait to eat it. It looks so yummy.

It warmed up today a bit. I think it was 75. Perfect weather

Jan I'm sorry you caught a cold. Not fun. Happy belated birthday to your dh.

Cindy it sounds like you had a nice time at field day. I remember those days.

Last night when Andrew got home from work at 9:45 he walked in and asked what was going on outside. He said there were police everywhere outside. I look out and see 5 police cars nearby. They were 4 houses down from ours. I still don't know what in the heck was going on.

This morning in our local paper was an article about a soldier from here that was killed in Iraq on Sunday. He is the first one from our town to have died. It was just so sad reading the article. He was 25 and married. I don't know his family, but I know I have seen him around. He looked so familiar. He was on his 4th deployment there. So, so sad

Well I better go and enjoy my last hour of peace and quiet.

I hope you all have a relaxing evening.

Hi ladies,

Sounds like we all had busy days. My day turned out to be very eventful and some of it not good.

Today I had my MRI scheduled at 9:15 for my knee. I was feeling anxious about it. I left work at 8:30 and I pulled out of the parking structure and into the 2nd lane. The first lane by the curb was taken up by a truck. Before I knew it the truck pulled away from the curb and slammed right into me. It happened so fast. We pulled over and thank God neither of us was hurt. He said that he didn't see me and wondered where I came from. He would have seen me if he was paying attention...I don't drive a small car. Anyway we exchanged info. and I left for my appt.

The MRI went well I was able to handle it because my head was on the outside of the equipment. Although it was long 30 minutes. The ortho specialist will get the results early next week and I see him on June 10th. I'm also waiting for approval on my injections...that should come through mid-June.

Lisa - that is so sad about the soldier from your town. Prayers for his family.

Mrswillie - hope your cold is bearable and doesn't get too bad. Yes, this weather can't seem to make up its mind.

Hyper - nice the track & field day turned out nice. My dd didn't use sunscreen on Monday in the pool and her cheeks were all pink. She said "and the sun wasn't even out." I told her even when it is overcast you can get sunburned.

Well I'm going to go pack my breakfast and lunch and go to bed early. My body is feeling pretty sore.

Have a good night all.

Good morning ladies!

It is a rainy gloomy day here. I'm going to catch up my laundry and spend time with little ds. I did go with the spaghetti last night with a salad and garlic bread. The kids were sore this morning from all of their events yesterday. I don't know what I'm doing for supper since I haven't did a grocery shopping for almost 2 weeks. It's amazing how you can make food stretch. We're down to the bare essentials now so I better get to the store tomorrow.

Lisa I'm glad you had some alone time. That is always nice. I'm sorry to hear about the soldier from your town. It is always so sad to lose one of our soldiers. I wonder what was going on with the police and all? Maybe you'll find out through your neighbors.

Scrapper I'm sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad noone was hurt. When I'm driving especially on the highway trucks always make me nervous. I hope you get good results from your MRI.

Jan I hope you're feeling better today.

Grateful hope things are good on your side.

Have a great day everyone!
