Jan we must have been posting at the same time. Our first sentence is almost identical. I have also been thinking of decorating. We'll probably get our tree next weekend and I'll decorate after that.

Oh funny! I think we were posting at the same time again! Instead of a new post I just hit the edit. I am looking forward to visiting ODS. The timing of my new grandson's arrival is almost perfect.

I slept in again today until 9 I have the house all to myself again today. DH won't be off work until 5. Andrew is off today, so I may go over to his place and help them work in the yard.

This morning I woke up to fog. It has now cleared up and is a nice sunny day. It is supposed to be 65 today and then 69 tomorrow. Definitely different weather than Jan and Cindy are having. One of these days I'll be able to wear my thermals again.

Cindy congratulations on your new grandson to be. You have something really exciting to look forward to. We have just a little bit of leftovers left that will be finished up today.

Jan I still haven't signed on to check my email, but will do that this afternoon to look at your pictures. I hope you get all of your chores done today that you have planned. Hopefully you'll find some time later to relax some before the coming week.

I think I'll put some meat in the crock pot with gravy for dinner tonight. I'll fix some mashed potatoes and a veggie and that will be it for dinner. We still have a whole pumpkin pie for dessert.

I better get off of here and jump in the shower. I have been lazy so far this morning and I need to get it into gear now. I hope everyone has a wonderful day

Hi ladies,

Well I got alot done today but now I am beat. I got all the decorations up except the tree. I also have all my laundry almost done. The towels are almost done and then I will be finished. DH said he would assemble the tree tomorrow and then I can decorate it when I have time this week. I will be glad to get it all done!

GD came home from her dad's house and DH helped me give her a bath because I was tired. We had sandwiches for dinner. GD was excited about that. For some reason that silly girl loves cold cuts. She had lunchmeat, raisins, pringles, and a slice of muenster cheese in a sectioned plate in front of the tv on the couch watching Dora the Explorer. She really thought she was a big shot. My kids would never have been allowed to do that. How things have changed!

Lisa your day sounds peaceful and your dinner sounds yummy. DH went over to his friend's to watch the Bears game. When I get GD to bed I might watch some tv and have some pie for dessert.

Cindy that is funny that we posted twice at the same time! I wonder if you cleaned DD's troom today? Both my girls could stand to do that. Maybe they will get it done by Christmas I hope.

Well ladies a few things to finish up before I put GD to bed. Have a great evening!

Hi ladies

I was up until 2:00 am with DD. Throwing up, headache, sore throat. Today she is just having cold symptoms. Sneezing and headache. We watched Tinkerbell today. It was a cute movie. I'm making cheeseburgers for supper.

Lisa I hope you enjoyed your alone time yesterday. You're dinner last night sounded good. We still have a little bit of pumpkin pie left.

Jan that had to be a big job putting up all of the decorations. I'm going to do mine one day this week.

I hope you're all having a good day.

Hi ladies,

DD was home from school sick again today. She is feeling better now and I think she'll be able to go back to school tomorrow. I'm making chicken, rice, broccoli carrot cauliflower mix and garlic bread for supper. Tommorrow I'm going to start decorating the house.

Lisa and Jan you must be busy. I hope you are finding some relaxing time.

Have a good evening.

Good evening all...

DH was off today, so I took the day off too. We did some Christmas shopping this morning and have our hardest people to buy for completed. That is a good feeling. We went out to lunch and then came home and worked in our yard. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the leaves right now. They are falling faster than I can pick them up. My blower that I have used for years decided today that it is going to die. It is on it's last leg and I'm hoping it will make it through the week and then this weekend I'll go buy another one.

Jan I'm envious of you getting your decorating done. I have not put one thing up yet. I'm hoping the boys will come over this weekend and we can get the outside lights up. We usually put up a ton of outdoors stuff, but we may cut back this year. It is very time consuming getting everything out of the boxes and set up. I cannot believe that we are already in December.

Cindy I'm glad your dd is feeling better. Not fun having a sick one at home. Hopefully she won't share with anyone else in the house. Your dinner tonight sounded really yummy.

We have not seen the sun for the past 2 days here. Yesterday we woke up to thick, thick fog and it never left all day. Today wasn't that foggy, just yucky out. I think tomorrow my thermals will be coming out of the drawer. Anything under 65 and on they'll go

I need to go get the kitchen cleaned up and then relax the rest of the evening. I think I am getting sick, but I am trying to ignore it. In the past few hours my throat is getting really sore. Hopefully it's just a cold and not something else brewing in there. Tomorrow I have a full day at work, so I just don't have time to be sick right now.

Sleep well everyone.

Hi ladies,

I am sorry I have not posted! It has been crazy busy in my building with conferences. All week we have been a few hours after school meeting with parents. Plus I am like Lisa right on the cusp of some illness. I have been holding it together but that is mostly because I have come home from work, toaken care of GD, and then hit the sheets at the same time as her! Not optimum but it is getting me through.

Cindy I am sorry DD did not feel well. I hope she went back to school and you had a good day. Unfortunately, we got into the thick of it fast this year! Is it snowing by you again? We have about 4 new inches so far. We are supposed to get more Saturday. Maybe it is going to be a big snow year...too early to tell...we'll see.

Lisa try to get some extra rest. It is the only thing keeping me going. I hope your fog clears soon. We had tacos for dinner, but nothing else going on. GD is with Dumb A. It will be off to bed for us all at 8.

Have a good evening!

We are still in this yucky, foggy weather pattern. I need some sun. Hopefully by the weekend it will come back out.

DH is working tonight, so I am enjoying a nice quiet house right now. I'm getting ready to change into some sweats and go through a pile of mail that I need to go through. It's a little chilly in the house right now. I finally broke down on Monday and turned on the heater for the first time this year. DH was freezing and said enough of this cold, so I turned it on. He was a happy camper after that.

I forgot to tell you girls that on Sunday morning I was sitting reading the morning paper and enjoying a cup of mocha while listening to my scanner (Ms. Nosy Rosy here). They got a call on the other side of town about a guy on this womans porch refusing to leave. He finally left and was then pulled over by the PD. They ran his name to check for warrants and it was the same guy from a couple months ago that was in my neighborhood going door to door when I called the PD on him. He came back still on parole for burglary and I don't know what they did after that with him. So anyways, my inlaws came by Sunday evening for a visit and I was telling them about the guy. My MIL remembered me telling her about him a couple months back. I mentioned his name and they both looked at each other and said thats "Brother Carl" They said he has been doing odd jobs around their house. He showed up one day at the door and they agreed to let him do some work for them. It really shook my MIL up when I told her what I believe he is really up to. She said they wouldn't let him come in anymore and do any work. They said he was really religious and would pray with them before he left their house. I told them I think thats all an act. I hope he doesn't come back to their house and doesn't try and burglarize them. He seems to prey on older people. I guess because they are usually so trusting

Jan I hope you start feeling better. My throat is better today, but still there. I hope you get a good nights sleep and feel better soon. Not a good time to not feel well with so much going on right now. I also keep forgetting to tell you that I looked at you pictures. I think ODD BF has a nice smile like Cindy said. I hope he is truly a nice guy on the inside.

Cindy I hope your dd was well enough to go back to school.

Scrapper I hope you are continuing on your road to recovery and that each day is getting easier for you.

Sas and Grateful, where are you girls??????? Check in.

I going to go put those sweats on now and dive into that pile of mail before dh gets home from work.

I hope everyone has a relaxing evening.

Good morning ladies,

DD did go back to school yesterday. She was tired when she got home, but she made it through. She has alot of make-up work. She has until Monday to turn it in. I made meatloaf for supper last night. Last night BDS came to me and ask me for a cough drop and said he didn't feel good and had a sore throat. I have a feeling when I wake him up this morning, he's going to be sick. Tonight is our girl pioneer's meeting. We are going on a horse drawn wagon ride dowtown to look at the Christmas lights. It is so cold here, and you all know I'm a baby when it comes to the cold. But I'll dress warm and I'm sure it will be fine. When the wagon ride is over we'll come back to church, make and Christmas craft and have hot chocolate and cookies. I have to go shopping either today or tomorrow for DD's birthday present. Her birthday is Saturday. I am having a "hotel sleepover party" for her. We have an Americinn in the town we live. She invited three friends. We're going to stay at the hotel. We'll have pizza, then I'll let them swim for awhile. We'll come back and have cake and presents. The next morning girls pioneers is hosting coffee hour at church. All of the girls coming are in pioneers, so we'll go straight to church on Sunday. It is so cold in the house. I have my flannel pajamas and my robe on and I'm still chilly. We'll I'd better hop in the shower soon.

Lisa that is a scary story about that lunatic. Has your MIL checked to make sure nothing is missing in the house. Maybe jewelry, or something that you may not notice right away. I hope not. I hope you don't come down with anything. This is not a good time of the year to be sick Well no time is really, I guess.

Jan we have gotten more snow. We are supposed to have a measurable snowfall on Sunday. I'm hope you don't come down with anything either. It's good that you've been getting extra sleep. Hopefully that will help.

Take care of yourselves. Have a good day.
