Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday was a long day being the first one back. I was really tired after school but I forced myself to go for a short walk and that helped. We had rotini for dinner. GD was up some during the night last night and that did not help my morning today! She goes to her Dad's today so I might shoot for another short walk after he picks her up. I am not sure yet what we will have for dinner. We still have leftovers but sometimes on Wednesdays when DH is home he likes to go out. We will see how he feels this evening. Cindy Tacos sounds good and coincidentally I am planning on having taco salad for lunch today. I hope you get your organizing done today that is such a good feeling!

Back to work. Have a great day !!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi girls

Remember me????? LOL I feel like it's been forever since I've been on here. Matthew came by this afternoon and was able to get us back online. This has been a nightmare with this darn computer. There have been days I was ready to just throw it out the window. I have had people over here working on it and made numerous phone calls and it looks like we are finally back up and running again We ended up getting a new modem and we still couldn't get online. I don't know what Matthew did today, but I'm not going to touch anything and hope for the best.

Things have been crazy around here lately. DH was on vacation 2 weeks ago and on that Sunday he was out back working on our patio tearing some old wood out from between the patio squares. He was using a metal pick thing and a piece of metal came off and went into his eye. He spent Monday morning at the eye Dr. getting the metal dug out of his eye. Monday afternoon he wasn't feeling well and thought it was just his allergies acting up. By Tuesday afternoon he was bundled up on the couch with a high fever. On Wednesday morning I took him to the Dr. and he had a 103 fever and was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. It came on very fast and hit him like a ton of bricks. He spent his whole vacation in bed. He returned to work the following Tuesday and has now been back for a week. He still has a horrible cough, but it is getting better each day. Theres nothing worse than a sick dh.

This week at work has been very busy for me. Easter is now down and Mother's Day is up. I can't believe that Mother's Day is 3 weeks from Sunday. That is going to be here before we know it. The next 3 weeks will be very busy for me.

Yesterday I went and picked up our taxes. You know me, waiting until the last minute. It wasn't too painful this year. I told the accountant that I dread seeing him more than the dentist. I actually have a dental appointment in the morning. They are going to finally permanently cement that crown that I have been having such a hard time with. I go back on May 5 to the Endodontist to decide if we're going to do the surgery on it or just go on as I have. I vote for just leaving it.

Matthew is leaving on Friday with 2 other teachers and they are taking 16 drama students to Oregon for some drama festival. He is excited about that. They will return very late on Sunday and then they all go back to school on Monday from spring break.

We spent Easter day at my Moms house. It was a nice relaxing day and I have some pictures I'll be sending out soon.

Scrapper I know you are having a wonderful time in Hawaii right now. We are having horrible winds right now and I know down your way they are supposed to be just as bad. Enjoy your nice Hawaiian sunshine.

Jan I can't wait to see the pictures of ydd prom dress. You had a very productive vacation. I'm like Cindy with my closets. They could all use a good going through. It sounds like you had a great trip to visit your son. Good job on your walking. I've been slacking on that around here.

Cindy I'm sorry that you had another sinus infection. Right now with our winds, lots of people are suffering with allergies. The pollen count is very high. Congratulations to your dd on her spelling bee. She did great I'm sorry to hear that you have to postpone your vacation. Sometimes those things can't be helped. Now you have something in August to look forward to.

I guess I have talked enough for now. I missed you gals a bunch. I would think of each of you everyday. It feels really good to be back in contact with you all.

I need to go put my last load of laundry in the dryer. After that I'm going to plop down on the sofa and watch some TV before I head off to bed.

Sleep well, girls

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Yesterday after supper dd and lds played outside until it was time to get ready for bed. DH was out there messing around with them. It's really nice to be able to let them go out to play. And I love it being light out longer. Today I don't have a lot planned. I might take lds out somewhere today. I have a pto planning committee meeting tonight. More silent auction stuff to talk about. Our auction is a week from Friday. Next week is going to be busy for me. I have to be at school everyday to help set things up, make food and get everything ready. I'm going to make crockpot steak and gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans for supper.

Lisa Yay! you're back. We missed you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're here to stay and that darn computer will cooperate. I'm sorry about DH's eye and being sick. What a vacation! Poor guy. I had walking pneumonia about 10 years ago. It's no fun. I imagine you are busy with Mother's day at work. Matthew's trip sounds like fun. Good luck at the dentist this morning.

Jan I felt tired yesterday too. It's always hard to get back into the routine after time off. It's nice that you're getting to take a walk. Isn't it great that we can actually do that now! I hope you were able to get your walk in last night.

Have a great day ladies.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Ladies,

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. Work went by quickly and I picked up GD right away so she could play outside. She is still out with ODD. What a nice evening it has been. We had leftovers for dinner since DH is working. I just gathered the trash and pulled it out to the curb. Now it is just time to relax. I am starting to get sleepy. Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day but I am not so sure about the weekend. Tomorrow night GD will go with her Dad. It is her birthday. She will be 3. DH and I will do something tomorrow. Saturday I will go shopping for a present for GD and do the laundry. Sunday when GD comes home we will have our little party for her after dinner.

Lisa it is great to hear from you!! We missed you. I am sorry that DH had such a rough time. I am glad he is getting better. I hope that computer holds out for you.

Cindy I am so glad about this weather!! I hope it stays this way. You are going to have a busy week. I hope the auction is a big success.

Well ladies, have a great evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Today was a busy day at work. I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday. I found out today that I am working out of town on Monday, so next week will be busy as well.

I got my crown cemented on today. It wasn't bad at all. The hardest part was him getting it off. The temporary cement they used works very well.

Yesterday I started marinating a london broil in basque sauce. Tonight dh grilled it and I fixed baked potatoes and a salad. Our weather was nice today, so a nice evening for grilling.

We had really bad winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today they weren't quite as bad. It is going to start heating up and by Monday be in the low 90's. I'm not ready for summer yet. It is going to be a beautiful weekend and I plan on working out in the yards. DH is working all weekend, so I will have the whole weekend to myself.

Cindy it sounds like you have a busy week next week. Your dinner tonight sounded yummy.

Jan I hope you get a relaxing evening. Happy Birthday to gd tomorrow I bet she is excited about turning 3.

I'm going to go and get ready for Survivor. The kitchen is cleaned up, so I can spend the rest of the evening relaxing.

Have a restful evening girls.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I am really thrilled with our weather. We've been in the 70's this week. It's supposed to cool down a little and rain this weekend, but next week it's supposed to be nice again. Tonight dd and I are going swimming with the the Lutheran girl pioneers. We're going to a community center a couple towns over. I'm not actually going to swim, I'm just going. I'm not actually sure what I'll do for supper, we have to meet at church at 5:30. I need to get groceries. I'm not sure if I will do that today, or wait until the weekend.

Jan happy birthday to GD! I bet she'll be excited for her little party when she comes home on Sunday.

Lisa it's amazing that you will be having low 90's already. I'm glad everything went well with the crown.

Have a nice day all!

Hello ladies,

Yesterday sure was such a beautiful day! I know I have been rattling on about the weather lately but after the winter it is so wonderful to finally be able to open a window or go out without a coat. Today is cloudy, not quite as nice but still decent temps.

last night DH got home late from a crazy time at work so we didn't do anything just stayed home with YDD. In a little bit YDD and I are going out shopping for GD. She wanted to sleep in this morning. Tonight she is going to a play so DH will have some time tonight if he feels better.

You girls with all your delicous cooking are giving me a tast for steak and potaotes! I wish I had some in the freezer I would defrost it for tonight. I will mention it to DH I might have to get some.

Cindy my girls would have loved the swimming trip. They are big swimmers. I hope you had a ggod time.

Lisa I am glad the tooth is finally finished! 90's wow! I am not ready for that either. I hope you get all your yardwork done.

Have a great Saturday ladies!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

I have so much to do and here I sit. Oh well, theres always tomorrow. I got up this morning and got all my errands done. Bank, post office, grocery shopping and gas for the car. I came home and put my car in the garage and it will hopefully stay there until Monday morning. Today at the grocery store they had seedless watermelons for $4.99. I bought one and just finished cutting it up to put in the fridge. It is really sweet. We will have that for dinner plus I'm going to make a big green salad and add the left over steak to it from the other night. Nice and easy

I bought a new mattress pad for our bed the other day and I finally got that washed today. I'm going to strip the bed and then put all clean sheets back on it. It is time to get rid of the flannel sheets. I will put my cotton sheets back on.

Today is supposed to be 84 and then tomorrow 90. I have all the windows open right now and it feels so good in here. I probably won't make it outside to work in the yard today, but I will definitely get out there tomorrow. It sounds like you girls are finally having nicer weather. Enjoy it

Cindy I'm sure your dd had fun swimming last night. I don't even own a bathing suit. That would be a pretty scary sight.

Jan I'm sure you had a successful shopping trip. What did you buy for gd?

I need to get off of here and get productive again. My bed is calling me right now. I hate changing a waterbed. It's a real pain.

Enjoy the rest of your day, girls

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

DD had a great time swimming last night. She was worn out and went right to bed and fell asleep when we got home. Today I went to the mall of america and got a dress for the silent auction. Our theme is Hawaiin luau. I found this little store that had the perfect dress. It's got a hawaiin print and it's summery and comfy. All of there dresses were on sale for $16.00. Then I went in payless and got a cute pair of flip flops that match the dress. We had a whatever night for supper. I'm getting ready to start baths. DD sings in 8:00 church tomorrow, so they need to get to bed at their normal time tonight. It's hard when it's so nice out and they want to stay out and play.

Jan the pictures of gd are so cute. I love her birthday crown. I can't believe she's 3 already. I have been going on about the weather too, but I'm like you, happy to not have to wear coats and all.

Lisa I'm glad you got all your errands done and can be home the rest of the weekend. I would say with your weather, it's time to put the flannel sheets away. It is a pain stripping the bed, but it feels nice when it's done.

I hope you all have a good evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Ladies,

Well the shopping trip went well. GD is getting tons of stuff. JC Penney had a terrific sale by one thing get another for 88 cents. I bought her 6 short outfits, 2 swim suits, and 3 summer pajamas. I ended up buying a huge gift bag to put it all in because I did not want to wrap it all! YDD bought her a Fisher Price toy. Last night DH still did not feel like doing anything so we stayed in with a fire and a movie. You know he did not have to twist my arm for that!

Today I am being so lazy it is dark and rainy and I did not want to get up. I need to get moving with laundry and baking the cake but I have not started anything.

Lisa I am glad you get to stay home this weekend. I hope the bed went smoothly.

Cindy are you slose to that mall?? YDD has always wanted to go there. It would seem like you could find anything there. Your new dress sounds very cute. I hope everyone settled in to bed on time.

Well I better get started or I am never going to be in time. Have a great day ladies!!
