Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hello ladies,

It has been a hectic day today with scheduling of meetings. I've been ordering supplies and paying for the maintenance on our Fax machine.

I'm headed to the gym after work and then have to stop at the market to get milk and bananas. After dinner will help dd study for tomorrow. I know she's looking forward to sleeping in. I told her that I have a project for her. It is to clean her dresser drawer and go through her clothes in the closet and get rid of things she doesn't want, etc. She will have to do that before we do any back to school shopping.

Grateful - hang in there and take care.

Hyper - hope your orientation goes well today. Does LDS want something specific for his bday?

Mrswillie - too bad the phone had to ring and wake you up this morning!! How is the project going? Glad the sun was out early today.

Well back to work...I"m waiting for someone to return my call so I can finalize a meeting. Take care.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

My orientation went well. It was watching movies and filling out paperwork. I start my regular schedule August 24. Right now I'm on a temporary training schedule. I work two days next week. Last night I ran out and got lds' presents. He's so excited that it's his birthday. We won't celebrate until DH gets home from work. He's going to try to come home a little early. It's so hard when you're little to wait. They have swimming lessons this morning, then we have to run and get groceries. That should keep lds busy. By the time we get home, it will be about time to celebrate.

Jan I'm sorry you got woken up. It is a sunny day here right now. But we do have a chance of rain later. It rained all day yesterday. I'm with you, I'd rather live in London too. Maybe then all the rain would be justifiable.

Scrapper good luck to dd. That's a good idea to have her clean out her closet and drawers. We have to do that too.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I have somewhat of a busy day ahead of me. I have more meetings to schedule, I have 2 books to order for my boss and some other things to tackle.

Last night after my workout I picked dd up and we went to the office supply store. They can take supplies in to their teacher for extra credit...so we picked up some things for him. Today is her last day and she is so happy. I hope she does fairly well on her final. I know she will be sleeping in tomorrow morning. They worked really hard in this class. They had homework daily, 2 projects and the quizzes & tests.

Tonight not much going on. Going to the gym after work and will pick up dinner as I didn't defrost any meat. I'm thinking grilled chicken tacos from this mexican food place.

Hyper - glad to hear that orientation went well. At least you have some time before you start your regular schedule. Happy birthday to LDS today. Have fun celebrating!!!!

Lisa - hope all is going well with you and that you were able to only work the 3 days this week.

Mrswillie - hope you got to sleep in some this morning.

Have a good day ladies.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Ladies,

It did rain yesterday afternoon but now we have another sunny day!!

I did get to sleep in this morning. I don't know how much it helped but it sure did not hurt. I have done nothing except eat breakfast and cruise the computer. I did take out some chicken to defrost for dinner.

Cindy I am really glad things went well at orientation! You sure do have a nice long training schedule. That will allow you to slowly adjust and the rest should be smooth sailing! Happy Birthday to LDS!!

Scrapper I am glad that DD can relax now. Probably so can you, lol. Have a nice relaxing evening and enjoy your tacos.

Hope things are good with all of you ladies.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi girls...

I'm being lazy this morning. I need to get out to Target, but here I sit. It was so nice yesterday not having to work. I really enjoyed my day in Fresno. I shopped all afternoon after my appointment. It was so nice to just take my time and do what "I" wanted to do. I ended up buying 2 pairs of capris and 2 tops. I got dh a new pair of shorts, also. My appt went well with the Dr. He is upping my estrogen dose, because I was telling him I have not been sleeping very well. Hopefully that will do the trick, otherwise I will go back to the current dose I'm on right now.

Cindy. I'm so happy that you got the house. It is beautiful and looks move in ready. I wish my house looked as organized as that one does in the pictures. I think I just have too much "stuff". to your lds. When you're that age having to wait for the celebration to begin can seem like forever.

Jan I hope your sunny day lasts. It sounds like you are having a relaxing day so far. I hope it lasts for you. Too bad you got woke up by the phone yesterday. I hate when the phone rings and I am in the middle of a deep sleep.

Scrapper I'm sure your dd will be relieved once her final is over. I'm sure she will do great on it and end up with a nice grade. I had a feeling Max would be diagnosed with diabetes. He did just like Belle had done when she was first diagnosed. 2 units sounds so little to me. Belle is on 35 twice a day. They started her on 11 and in the 2 1/2 years she has jumped up to 35. She also goes in tomorrow for a check up. Hopefully her numbers will be good and we don't have to do another increase.

Grateful I'm glad you checked in. I hope that things improve and you'll be back on board with us soon

Yesterday Andrew had his annual eye exam. There has been a spot on his retina that the Dr. has been keeping an eye on the past few years. Yesterday it had changed and become larger, so he now has to see a Retinal specialist on August 3 in Modesto. Hopefully it isn't anything too serious. I had an appt on the 3rd for my eye exam, but I had to change it yesterday, because I want to go with him to the specialist.

I need to get to work now. No more playing around.

Have a great day, girls

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

It was cold this morning at swimming lessons, but now it's turned into a warm sunny day. We went to the park for a little while. I have to drop off some paperwork to my supervisor this afternoon and stop at the library. LDS's birthday celebration was fun. He liked his presents and we had a fun time. I have some pictures. As soon as I download them I'll send you all a few. I'm making spaghetti for supper.

Scrapper I hope you dd got to sleep in today and that she is enjoying her 1st day of break. I hope she did well on her final, in fact, I'm sure she did.

Jan I'm glad you got to sleep in yesterday and I hope you did today as well. It sounds like you are enjoying some sunny weather as well.

Lisa It sounds like your shopping trip in Fresno was good. I"m glad your appt went well. I hope it helps in upping your dose of estrogen. I hope that whatever is going on with Andrew's retina is something simple that can be easily fixed.

I hope you're all having a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hello ladies,

TGIF....so glad because it was hard to get up this morning. Looking forward to sleeping in this weekend.

Today after work need to head straight home. Max has his Vet appt at 4:45 and dd has tutoring at 5pm. The good thing is that they are next door to each other so that works out great. We will see how Max is doing after a week of insulin...hope his glucose level has dropped.

Summer school is over for dd. She passed World History with a B. So that was great because it was a hard class. Now she can relax for awhile. She slept in until 9am this morning.

This weekend we have birthday parties on both days for family. tomorrow is for my niece & nephew on dh's side. Dd is excited about this one because they have a pool and she said "I"m going swimming." On Sunday is my niece's bday party at a pizza place that has a buufet, games, etc. She turned 8.

Tonight I want to sweep and mop the kitchen and dining room area.

Mrswillie - yes, now I can relax as well with dd done with summer school.

Lisa - glad that you enjoyed your day of shopping. Hope the increase in estrogen willhelp yoou with your sleeping. Hope all goes well with Andrew's appt with the Retinal specialist. Good idea to go with him.

Hyper - sounds like a good you are having so far. Glad LDS's bday celebration ws fun. - looking forward to seeing the pics.

Have a great day ladies - enjoyt he weekend.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

TGIF It was a much slower week and I sure did enjoy it. DH started vacation today and bathroom demolition is in full swing. The toilet and vanity were taken out today and he pulled out the wall board where the new tub is going to go. It is such a disaster in there, I'm just keeping the door shut. He has 2 weeks off and promises me it will be all back together before he returns to work.

I forgot to mention yesterday that at my appt. my Dr. said since I'm turning 50 in October that I need to get my first colonoscopy. I'm not thrilled about that. I have an appt in early October for a consultation, but I'm not letting them do anything until after my birthday. DH has had one and he is laughing now because I gave him a hard time when he had his done. Now the joke is on me.

This morning we took Belle to her vet appt before I went to work. They drew her blood and will call tomorrow or Monday with the results. She had gained 4 lbs since last visit, so that was good. Hopefully her levels will be right where they're supposed to be. He checked out a new growth on her back and said it was just a wart. That was a relief. We just have to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get much larger. He said it would probably dry up and fall off. That would be great if she doesn't have to have it removed.

Today I called and got an appt to have the mama cat fixed. The kitten is weaned now and the mama is driving us crazy. I think she is back in heat and all she does is meow very loudly. Tuesday can't come fast enough. I will feel much better letting her back outside knowing her baby making days are over with. She goes to the screen door and just meows and meows. I need to introduce the kitten to my cats still. Hopefully they will all learn to live happily together.

Jan I finally looked at your vacation pictures. It looked like a very relaxing vacation. Lots and lots of water. GD looked like she was having a blast in them all. You looked so calm in your picture on the plane. I would have been a nervous wreck. I hate to fly. You did great. Thanks for sharing them.

Cindy I'm glad you got some sun today. We actually cooled down into the high 90's today. I'm sure lds is having fun playing with his birthday presents today.

Scrapper congrats to your dd on her summer school grade. She did great. I hope Maxs appt went well today and his levels have come down. You have a busy weekend of parties ahead of you.

I need to go and get the kitchen cleaned up.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Ladies,

We had dangerous storms last night. Lots of damage all around. I did my part of the yard cleanup this morning. All the small branches and all the raking. Dh now is going to do the chain sawing of the big limbs. I have to start doing laundry. I had planned to do it last night while watching tv when dh was at work but the power went out and never came back on until 3 am.

Lisa how nice that your bathroom will be done in 3 weeks! I sure wish my DH would work like that. He drags things out forever. I hope everything goes ok for Belle. I would bring Mama cat in too. Cats in heat are no fun. I have had a colonoscopy. Don't worry about the actual procedure. It really does not hurt at all. The only small bit of pain is the IV stick. The prep is the worst part. I was up all night in the bathroom, but that wasn't the worst for me it was actually drinking the stuff. Now my DH did not find that to be any big deal he drank it down 1,2, 3. Maybe you will be like him and the whole thing will be a piece of cake for you. Flying doesn't bother me at all. I will fly with you if you need to go somewhere. I find it exciting and wish I could vacation more places.

Cindy I am glad LDS had a nice birthday. I hope you didn't have bad storms last night too.

Scrapper I hope Max's test came out ok. I hope you and DD are enjoying your post summer school relaxation.

Well off to laundry girls. Have a great day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

I have had a lazy day so far. DH took off this morning with his orthopedic Dr. for Sacramento. They are going to this huge aquarium store. During his years of seeing this Dr. they have found they both have a hobby of salt water fish. This is their second trip together there. They went a couple months ago. It will be interesting to see what they come home with. His Dr. has one set up at his home and one at his office. One time the Dr. was out of town and there was a problem with the office tank and the girls called dh to come by and help them out with it.

Today I haven't gotten accomplished what I had wanted to, but there's always tomorrow I have a couple piles of mail and papers that I need to go through. I'm sure I'll end up shredding at least 80% of it.

Jan that is too bad about your weather. Is it common to have summer storms there? All we get here is heat and more heat in the summer. Today is actually in the low 90's. It is a nice change. Tomorrow it going to start heating up again. I hope you're able to get your laundry finished up today.

I guess I better get off of here and get something done before dh gets home. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, girls.
