Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

I can't believe the weekend is over. We were very busy working on the bathroom this weekend and it just flew by. I was also able to get my house back in some type of order. We picked up the tiles yesterday and dh is going to start installing them tomorrow. I have a busy, busy week ahead of me. Tomorrow is Andrews appt with the retinal specialist in Modesto. When we get home from that I need to head to my Target and I have lots waiting for me there to do. I wanted to be here while dh is doing the tile job, but it looks like I'll just be in and out while he's working. He'll probably like it better that way

Cindy I hope you're enjoying your new job.

Scrapper your dd trip to downtown disney sounds like fun. We really enjoyed walking around there on our last visit. We really liked eating at the Rainforest Cafe the trip before our last one. I hope Max had better numbers on Friday when he went for his visit.

Jan I hope your weather improved some for you today. We also had marinated chicken last night for dinner. It sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. If we were closer, my dh would love to come and give yours a hand. He just loves working on different projects.

I need to go and get ready for bed. Tomorrow is a long day and I want to be rested up for it.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I missed you all. I feel like I've been gone too long. I worked Sat. and Sun. The gal that was training me was really thorough and I learned alot. On Sunday, I did some things on my own. Most of the residents I have are really sweet. It is physically hard, but I like it. I think after I'm there awhile, I will get used to the physical part and it will get easier. I work again tomorrow evening. Yesterday the kids and I met a friend and her kids at the park, then we went to dairy queen. I made meatloaf for supper. DD and lds finished swimming lesson last Friday. Lds passed his level and DD didn't pass. She was a little upset, but I told her she is in an upper level and she has few things to work on and I'm sure she pass next year. Her best friend was in her level and she didn't pass either, so that made her feel better, that they would be in the same level again next year. Today we are meeting another friend and her kids at Mcdonalds for lunch. Then we'll play it by ear.

Scrapper did dd have a good time at Disneytown? How did Max's appt. go? I hope well. We haven't gotten BDS's packet yet, but I'm sure it will be soon. I think their registration is the 3rd week in August.

Lisa thanks for the pictures. It's really coming along. I think once it's done the red will look good. I hope all goes well with Andrew's appt.

Jan we sure haven't been having a very typical summer. I do hope we get some summer weather before it's all said and done.

Have a good day ladies.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I'm in shock this morning. My boss sent out a memo about one of our coordinators. He passed away suddenly this weekend. He was such a nice person.

I had to take Max to the Vet again yesterday. The blood sample they took on Friday was rejected by the lab due to the tubing the vet's office put it in. So they took another sample yesterday, and I have to call in this afternoon for the results. he lost another pound...he's now down to 22 lbs. from 29. She said she doesn't want him to keep losing so we now have to give him some dry food early afternoon.

The weekend was good. We didn't go to my cousin's daughter's baby shower after all. Dd said she didn't feel like going and to be honest me either. I had quite a bit of running around to do to get ready for our vacation. so dd and I went to Walmart, Target and to the market. For dinner that evening we bbq'd steaks and had baked potato and corn on the cob....ver yummy. We watched "Fool's Gold" good movie. On Sunday met my sisters.

We took the luggage out on Sunday, and I've started to take things to put on the lving room sofa...beach towels, swimsuits, etc. I realy need to get going on my packing. I told dd to start getting her things together. We leave on Friday, and I'm looking forward to our week in San Diego.

Mrswillie - your cool weather sounds just like the Fall. Hope all is well.

Lisa - thanks for sharing the pics - great progress on the bathroom. Can't wait to see the finished project. It's going to look so nice. The Rainforest Cafe is a neat place. Hope all went well with Andrew's appt yesterday.

Hyper - glad that your training is going well. I think that you're right about the physical part of the job - eventually you will get used to it. I'm sure that dd will pass her swim class next year without any problems. I'm sure that having her friend with her made it easier for her to accept. Enjoy Mcdonalds today. Yes, dd had a great time at Downtown Disney. She got back at 12:30 at night. They had a late dinner. She bought 2 sets of bangle bracelets - a gold set and the other is shades of purple/lavendar.

Well back to work. I made great progress last week on my files. I have another cabinet of 4 drawers to go through. Have a great day...we have hot & humid weather today....starting to cool off tomorrow.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

The bathroom is coming right along. Yesterday dh got all the tile installed and then today he put in the grout. I helped him today with the grout and that was a pain in the butt. I'm sure tomorrow I'll feel it from getting up and down constantly. We used a dark grey grout and it turned out really nice. Right now it looks like a nascar bathroom. I'm hoping it will turn more disneyish once everything starts going back in there. DH found out a couple days ago that they are cutting his vacation short and he has to return to work on Thursday. He had said that the bathroom would be done when he went back, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen now. It will get done eventually. I think the hardest part is going to be getting the new bathtub in and all hoooked up. The rest should go pretty fast.

I only did 1 store this afternoon. On Thursday I have to go to Los Banos and work for the day. I will work at the same Target I had to go to for inventory that night. The merchandiser that does that store has been out for a little over a month now. Her 25 year old son has been very ill and in the hospital and they never could figure out what was wrong with him. He passed away on Saturday night. We will continue covering for her until she is able to come back to work. So sad...

Cindy I'm glad the new job is working out for you. I'm sure you'll be a pro in no time at all. It sounds like you are enjoying your day off today.

Scrapper I hope you get good news about Max today. Did they put him on a special diet? When Belle was diagnosed we had to start feeding her prescription food and it really helped her gain her weight back. It's expensive though. She goes through 20 lbs in 2 weeks and it costs $48.00 for a bag. Between the food, insulin and syringes it runs us about $180 a month. She's part of the family, so we do what we have to do for her. That's sad about the coordinator at work passing away. Your vacation sounds like lots of fun. The weather is always so nice in San Diego.

Jan I hope all is well with you and your family. When does gd return? I hope she is having a good time with dumb a. I'm sure when she returns she will have all kinds of stories to tell you.

I need to go and finish picking up for the evening. My house was in order over the weekend and now it looks like a cyclone came through it.

Sleep well, girls

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

We are having a stretch of nice weather. Yesterday we met my friend at mcdonalds. That was fun. It was nice catching up with her and the kids had fun playing. A little after we got home the kids wanted to go to the pool. They had a good time. I made pasta and garlic bread for supper. Today we'll just hang out then I have to be at work at 2:00. I have leftovers for dh to serve for supper.

Scrapper I'm sorry to hear about the coordinator. It's hard when someone goes suddenly. I hope you got good results for max. I'm glad dd had fun at downtown disney. It sounds like you had a nice weekend. How exciting for your vacation to almost be here.

Lisa thanks for the pictures. You're right the bathroom is really coming along. It will look like a disney bathroom when you get everything in there. Sorry to hear about the merchandiser's son.

Jan hope all is well and hope to hear from you soon.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi Girls,

The last couple of days DH and I have been hanging out and YDD came home from camp. So it has been nice having her around. Dh and I have done alot of chores. We mad some plans for this weekend. We are going to leave Friday and stop and have dinner with some friends of our in WI. Then we will travel 3 more hours to the town where the wedding will be and spend the night. We will go to the wedding Sat stay again and drive home Sunday. We are looking forward to it.

Today ODD and I are going shopping. It is YDD's 18th bithday tomorrow so we are going to buy her some stuff. Her real gift is Taylor Swift concert tickets but we are going to get her some stuff for the new school year. Kids that go to community college always sort of have that let down when all their friends go off and get all this new stuff for college. So we are going to get her some things. But she will be lucky because soon she is going to get a bunch of new bedroom stuff. If those plumbers ever come and fix the pipe that DH wants done while he has that wall open. That is the hold up he is waiting on. He has the electric, insulation, everything else done and is waiting to put up the drywall and finish. We are just waiting on the silly plumber.

Lisa your bathroom looks great. The black and white does look like Nascar right now! I know once it has Disney stuff in ti it will be perfect. I really like it so far. How di Matthew's appt go? So sorry about your friends son. How awful.

Cindy sounds like you are really getting the hang of the new job. I a, glad it is going well. We finally have summer weather this week and I am thrilled! Dh is not so thrilled that the 90's are predicted this weekend. oh well, it is our turn!

Scrapper I am sorry about your coworker. What a shock. I hope things get settled for max soon. Your vacation is really getting close that is exciting!

I have to jump in the shower now. GD comes home tomorrow at 4. I am going to miss sleeping in but I can't wait to see her! Unfortunately she has to go back with him at 4 on Friday for his weekend. Nice planning on his part huh? I hope her stories are good ones. Have a great day ladies!!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

I'm off to work, but wanted to jump on because I realized I forgot to update on Andrews appt with the retinal specialist. The Dr. said it's a Myelinated nerve fiber layer. It's harmless and he said that as he goes to different eye Drs. they will get shook up when they look at his retina. The Dr. told him to tell them what it is and they will probably have a shocked look that he knows what he's talking about. It's not very common, but nothing to worry about.

Have a great day

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Work was good last night. It was my last training night so my next shift I'm on my own. Of course I can ask questions and ask for help as need until I really feel comfortable. I am on a sporatic schedule for the next couple weeks until my regular schedule starts. I don't work again until next wednesday. I'm afraid I'm going to forget everthing I learned with six days off. We are having summer weather this week, like Jan. Today the kids and I are going to get groceries and BDS has to get a haircut. LDS lost his other front tooth while I was at work last night. His toothless grin is so cute.

Jan you have a nice weekend planned. You and DH are going to have a good time. Happy birthday to YDD! I think that's a nice idea to get her things for school. And she's going to love the Taylor Swift tickets. I bet you will be glad to see GD.

Lisa good news about Andrew. What a relief for you.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Well today is my last day at work and vacation begns tomorrow...yipee!!!! Im so ready. I have to pack my stuff this evening. I told dd to get her things ready today.

It is rather quiet right now. My boss is at an off site meeting and won't be in until around 10:30 and my co-worker had to go to the lab. I have to say bye to my co-worker and 2 other ladies today. Their last day is Aug. 14th and I'm still on vacation. I come back to work on the 17th. There will be lots of changes coming up, but I'm not going to worry about that right now.

We will be leaving tomorrow. Our place has a full kitchen so we will be eating in most of the time...got to save some money. There are bbq's by the pool so we can grill in the evenings. Plan on relaxing....we will go to Sea World on one day, spend time in the pool and at the beach.

Lisa - too bad dh's vacation was cut short, but he has made lots of progress on the bathroom. That is sad about your friend's son. Max's numbers are still high so his insulin dose has been increased to 5 units. He goes back for a check up in 2 weeks. He lost another pound and down to 22 from 29 pounds. He's on he science diet formula. So glad about the good news with Andrew;s appt. Big relief!!!

Mrswillie - your weekend plans sound very nice. I'm sure you feel good about getting all the chores done. Happy 18th birthday to YDD. Does she know about the concert tickets or is it a surprise? How fun to get new things for her bedroom. Does she have colors in mind? Last weekend I bought a new comforter set for $59 - lavendar & brown..it came with the comforter, sheets, bedskirt, and 2 decorative pillows.

Hyper - glad that work is going well. I'm sure that you will do well on your own. At least your sporadic schedule right now allows you to spend more time with the kids and to get ready for your move. have the kids seen the new house yet? How cute LDS must lookwith his toothless smile. I scheduled a haircut appt for dd when we get back from vacation. Although she just wants a slight trim because she wants to continue growing her hair. Right now it is to the bra line.

well ladies....Iwill talk to you all when I get back from San Diego. Take care.
