Hello Ladies,

It is so good to be able to send you a message! I have had a very bad time of it lately. I got really sick. I had double pneumonia in both lungs and had to be off work for a few weeks. I had asked YDD to send a message to you all saying I was ill and would be back in a few weeks but apparently she was unable to post. I did not realize that until just recently. Anyhow I am feeling better and still have until January 4th until I go back. My Dad and my son are here and we are going to have a quiet Christmas. I hope you are all well and are enjoying a Happy Holiday with your families. I have missed you ladies.

Merry Christmas!!
Jan

I was supposed to work until 10:00 tonight, but I got off at 8:00. It has been snowing like the dickens. So far we've had 8 inches and are supposed to get another 8 inches by tomorrow morning. I'm so glad I made it home from work. The roads were horrible. I have 8 days off now! The kids are in bed. I'm getting ready to play santa and put the gifts under the tree. We are having a quiet Christmas. The kids will open their gifts and we'll spend the day relaxing. Later we will have a ham dinner. I hope you all have a blessed Christmas tomorrow!

Jan I'm so glad to hear from you!! I'm so sorry to hear you were so ill. I'm glad you are better. You take care. It's good that you still have a good amount of time off.

Goodnight all!

Hello ladies,

I know it has been awhile since I posted. All is well here. I have been off on vacation since Dec. 23rd and it sure has been nice. We've been sleeping in and relaxing.

Christmas was very nice. We had both sides of the family over and had a good time. I was tired by the end of the evening.

Yesterday and today I had an appt for my hand therapy. I have another 6 sessions to go. Today I treated myself to a massage and it was fabulous I must say. Tomorrow and Thursday no plans - stay home and get some things done here.

Friday is dd's bday - she's turning 16. We are going to have a bbq for her on Saturday with family and some of her friends coming over. We will see what she wants to do on Friday.

We've been to the movies and saw The Blind Side and Precious...both were very good.

Mrswillie - it was so good to hear from you...we missed you. I'm sorry that you were so sick and glad to hear that you are feeling better. Enjoy the rest of your week off.

Hyper - wow - you sure got lots of snow. Hope you are enjoying your days off as well.

Time to figure out what I'm doing for dinner. We still have some leftovers so may finish that up. I just need to make some mashed potatoes. Have a good evening.

Hi Ladies,

My company just left this morning. I am glad of it. It was nice to see them but it has worn me out. I am really tired. I plan on sleeping in and lazing around tomorrow. Friday we will take our decorations down.

I am working on all the laundry now. I took GD to daycare today. I will have to go out around 3 to get her and she will go with Dumb a at 4. The only thing I whave planned for the rest of the evening is to finish this laundry. There is so much I don't know if it will all get done but I will give it a shot.

Cindy I hope you had a good Christmas and that you are enjoying your time off.

Scrapper sounds like you have had a really nice break. DD should have a nice weekend with her firends for her birthday. It is hard to believe she is turning 16! Do you head back to work on Monday? I do. Hopefully if I get some rest the next few days i will feel more ready to head back.

Well ladies back to the laundry. I hope you are all having a good day!!

Hi Girls! Happy New Years Eve. I slept in this morning and feel pretty good. I hope that is a sign for a good New Year to come. Tonight it is just the 3 of us and we are going to have an appetizer dinner and then ring in the New Year early. I hope you all will have good celebrations this evening.

Take care.

Hi ladies,

I have been enjoying my time off. Our Christmas was very nice. We stayed home and relaxed and played with the kids after they opened presents. I made a ham. The kids and I have been enjoying every day together. We went out grocery shopping on Tuesday, but other than that we've just been staying at home and playing games and having fun. Tonight our good friends are coming over to ring in the new year with us. We are ordering pizza and having salad. Tomorrow I plan on just lazing around again. I have to go back to work on Saturday. I'm going to have a hard time going back after having such a long break. Little funny story: The other day lds and I were in the kitchen and I noticed he had tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong. He whispered in my ear, "mommy, when I go back to school will I still be in kindergarten" Poor little guy thought this was like his summer break and he would be in 1st grade after the break. I gave him a big hug and explained to him that it was only Christmas break and he would still be in kindergarten for a long time. He was so happy and relieved.

Scrapper it sounds like you had a nice Christmas and are enjoying your time off as well. If I don't get a chance to post tomorrow Happy Birthday to your dd. Wow sweet 16! It sounds like you have a nice celebration planned.

Jan I bet you are glad to have the house back to yourself. I'm sure it was alot having company after being so sick. Were you hospitalized? I'm glad you got to sleep in this morning.

Have a happy new year ladies!

Happy New Year ladies!!!

I sure have been enjoying my time off. I do go back to work on MOnday, and I am sure it will not be easy. I know the routine won't take long to get back into.

New Year's Eve we rented some movies and I made tacos for dinner. Yesterday ran errands for last minute things for dd's party. In the evening we went to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks...it was very cute. My sister and niece came as well.

Dd's party today was very nice. The family and several of her friends came over. The weather was perfect as we set tables up in the backyard. She got gift cards, cash and some clothes. We got her a pair of Nikes for the gym and her Princesss perfume from Vera Wang.

Mswillie - that is nice that you have some down time after your company left. Hope you are feeling better now. Were you on heavy duty antibiotics?

Hyper - sounds like you are enjoying your time off with the kids. Do they go back on Monday? That is a cute story about lds.

Well I'm going to get ready for bed. The last of dd's friends just left a few minutes ago. I thought I had to take them home which I'd be glad to but the parents of one of the friends came for them. I'm tired. Tomorrow we will spend a relaxing day at home and getting ready for the week.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Take care.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Our New Year's Eve was really nice. Our friends came over. We ordered pizza and played apples to apples. It's a fun game, that is easy for kids and adults to play together. Our friends brought the game. It was so much fun, dh went out and bought it yesterday. Friday we lazed around all day. I worked this weekend. It was so hard getting up. Last night bds and I went and saw avatar. It was good. Very intense towards the end. It was long. 2 hrs and 40 minutes. Today the kids went back to school. They all had a hard time getting up, because we all got into the habit of sleeping in over the break. They will be good and tired tonight. Today I am taking down my Christmas things and undecoration the tree. Then I have to run a couple errands in town.

Scrapper it sounds like you had a nice New year's as well. I'm sure it was hard for all of you to get up this morning. But you're right, it won't take long to get back in the routine. DD's birthday sounds nice. Lds and dd want to see alvin and the chipmunks. I'll probably take them this weekend. We saw the first one.

Jan I hope you were all rested and ready for work this morning. Well, I'm sure you weren't ready to go back! lol But I hope you're feeling well enough to go back.

Have a good day ladies.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I'm back at work today and it sure was hard getting up this morning. Dd is back at school as well. On Mondays they have late start so they don't start until 8:25. So she had more time to get ready and not be rushed. It is quiet as the majority of our schools are still on break...they return next MOnday. My boss is out ill. So I can focus on my work.

Yesterday I went to the gym in the morning came home showered and dd and I went to church. After that we went to the cemetery to remove the ornaments from my mom's tree that we wanted to keep. All Christmas decorations will be removed on Wednesday. Once back home had lunch and just relaxed and watched TV. Also got some laundry done. We went through dd's bday gifts and made a list of what she got. Then we started getting our things ready and organized. Dh grilled burgers which turned out really good.

Hyper - I think that is why it was so hard to get up today...we slept in as well during the break. I took my decorations down at home as well. It looks so different without them. Your kids will enjoy alvin and the chipmunks...it was very cute.

Mrswillie - hope your first day back at work is going well. Try not to overdo it. Hope you aren't too tired at the end of the day.

Have a good day.
