Hi ladies,

I did get my Thanksgiving shopping done yesterday. I am off tomorrow and Thursday, I have to work Friday then this is my weekend off. So not too bad. The kids are off starting tomorrow. We have parent teacher conferences tonight for bds. Other than that just plan to relax. It is very cold here.

Scrapper your weekend sounds nice. I liked your relaxing evening watching tv in your jammies. It's so nice to be able to do that. You have a nice long break. That's nice.

Have a good evening and a happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

I just got back from picking dd up from school. I took her this morning as well.

I have chicken cooking for tacos tonight. We will relax for awhile and then head to the gym. We are supposed to get more rain this evening.

After I dropped dd off at school this morning, I came home and watched the news for awhile. I started my breakfast and fed the dogs. Shortly after dh left for work. I ran the vaccum and cleaned the stove. Then I went and ran a couple of errands.

Dd is excited that she now has a break. She said that her english teacher gave them lots of homework. She wasn't happy about that but wants to get started on it so she doesn't have to worry about it.

While I was out, I stopped to get a quote for tires for my car. Dh got some yesterday. So we will see what he says about getting them maybe on Friday.

Hyper - glad you got your shopping done. Oh that is nice that you only have to work Friday and then have your weekend off. You get to sleep in tomorrow. Have a good evening.

Hi ladies,

We had a nice Thanksgiving and break. Our Thanksgiving was very relaxing. I cooked dinner for just us. We ate and relaxed for the day. I had to work Friday. Saturday dd went to the holidazzle parade with a friend, dh and bds went to see and movie and lds and I picked up food for supper and played wii together. Sunday I did my laundry and cleaned house. DH and I went out for dinner Sunday evening. I will sure not like getting up for work tomorrow. We are supposed to have some snow tonight. I'm hoping not too much. I have bbq pulled pork in the crockpot for supper. Not much going on for this evening. Hopefully a relaxing evening.

Scrapper I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed your break. I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Well it was hard getting up for work this morning. It was so cold too so that made it harder. I was so warm in bed. I woke dd up before I left. As I put my lunch in my lunch bag I heard her in the hall closet. She was getting her robe to keep warm as she had breakfast. The good thing was that traffic was fairly light.

We really enjoyed our time off. It was very relaxing. We pretty much stayed around home, went to the gym, watched movies. We did go to the dentist on Wednesday for a second opinion on dd's 2 teeth. I had asked dh to to come too so that he could hear everything firsthand. We all agreed that they are the specialists in what needs to be done. Dd felt very comfortable with them which is very important. her oral sugery is scheduled for Dec. 20th. We wanted to have it done while she is on her winter break.

The movies we saw are Everyone is Fine and the Notebook. Both were really good.

Thanksgiving was nice and casual. We started the turkey early and then started getting everything else ready. There were 11 of us. Everything was very yummy. I enjoyed my pumpkin pie bite by bite...very good. I was tired by the time everyone left. I sat down and looked at the sale ads and relaxed the rest of the evening.

I enjoyed sleeping in while we were off. Dd even said "the time off has been nice and relaxing." I go tmy haircut over the weekend. We did go to Target on Friday afternoon and the crowds werent' bad at all. I did pick up some Christmas gfits. Yesterday I picked up 3 gift cards for the gift exchange between siblings on both sides of the family.

This evening I have a parent meeting at dd's school for choir. The main focus will be on the upcoming holiday concert on Dec. 15.

Hyper - it sounds like you had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving and enjoyed your time off as well. That was nice that you and dh got away for dinner. It will be hard to get back to work tomorrow. Enjoy your day off. If you get snow, hope it isn't too much. When I left the house this morning it was 39...I had to look twice to make sure I read the number right.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

It is another cold morning here. It is hard getting up and getting ready when you are so warm in bed.

Today is kind of a sad day at work. Today is the last day for 4 people on our staff. They were bumped due to the budget cuts. Their boss bought a cake to share with everyone to say goodbye to them. Then tomorrow we will be getting some new employees to replace the ones that left.

Tomorrow dh starts his new position. I asked him if he will have to move his desk and get a new phone number. He said he wasn't sure yet.

Dd and I got in a quick workout last night. We picked up dinner on the way home and I ate before heading to the parent choir meeting. We went through the agenda rather quickly. We were done around 7:45. So we are set for the holiday concert and the bake sale. I will bake some peanut butter cookies and will help with selling before the concert.

Hyper - hope you had a relaxing evening last night. If you got snow, hope it wasn't too much. Was it hard getting up for work today?

Have a good day.

Hi ladies,

It was hard getting up this morning. It is very cold today which didn't help. We did get snow, but not too bad. DD has bb practice after school. I have to go tonight to church and help prepare food for our advent supper tomorrow night. The 5th grade parents are hosting this one. After that I plan to come home and relax.

Scrapper it sounds like you had a very nice and relaxing break. You're thanksgiving sounds nice. Good idea to have dd's surgery schedule for winter break. That is sad about your co workers. These budget cuts are hard. That was nice that the boss got a cake for them.

Have a nice evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Whew it sure has been a busy day so far. Today we had several new people start to replace those that left. So it has been hectic in getting everyone to the right office and settled into their desk, getting acquainted with the office, etc.

Today is my boss's bday. On the way to work I stopped and bought her some flowers. They are so festive red & white with lots of greens. She was surprised when she walked into her office.

Not much going on this evening. I do have to stop at the market after the gym for a few things. I do have a doctor appt today with the podiatrist so I have to leave at 3pm.

We received some very tragic news here at work yesterday. On the second floor we had a copy center where we took large coopy jobs that needed to be run. There was a young girl that worked in there and was the sweetest, friendliest person. Well her boyfriend murdered her on Monday and then he killed himself. We are so sad and shocked. What a horrible situation.

I got new tires for my car and had them installed yesterday. Both dh and my car needed them. I feel much better now.

Hyper - hope all went well at chuch last night preparing the food for tonight. Hope you are enjoying your day off today,

Hi ladies,

Yesterday was my day off. I cleaned a little and did laundry. Last night dd and I served at the advent supper then dd's class sang in the advent service. It was a long afternoon/evening. We got there at 4:30 and didn't get home until after 8:00. DD has bb practice after school. Just planning to relax this evening.

Scrapper the flowers do sound very festive. Are the new employees that took the former employee's position working for a lower salary? How does your dh like his new position? Oh, how awful about that poor girl getting murdered. That is horrible. Hope your podiatrist appt. went well.

Hope you are having a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hello ladies,

I took a walk during lunch and it is nice out. I went to the post office to mail a box out and buy stamps. I received this box yesterday from a book club that I belong to. I didn't order the book so I returned it.

Yesterday dd and I took a break from the gym. She had quite a bit of homework to finish up, and I was feeling pretty tired. So we had a leisure evening. i went to the market and came back to make dinner. We had pork chops with rice and salad. Tonight we are having breakfast.

Heading to the gym and back home for a relaxing evening. Also catching up on some of our shows.

Hyper - sounds like you had a productive day yesterday. That was a long afternoon with all that you had to do. No, the new employees remained in their same position & salary rate. when dh got home, he was kind of quiet. So I waited until he was ready to talk. He said it is ok and they will be moving him to another desk. I'm sure it will take an adjustment for everyone. We have been busier. My podiatrist appt went well. I go back in 5 months. The medication is working on my toe nails. It all started when I dropped a shampoo bottle on my toe. I t turned black and got infected. So far all is good.

I asked Lisa on FB if she has pulled her thermals out yet. She said so far not yet that the weather has been tolerable during the day. I wonder how Jan is doing. Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Happy Friday ladies,

So far it has been a not so busy day and my boss is at an off site meeting until 11.

This morning I treated myself to a latte from Starbucks...so good!!!

We had a nice relaxing evening last night after we got home from the gym. I made dinner and dd tooke her shower. She was done by the time I finished with dinner. Our breakfast was very yummy. WE watched some TV as well. Dd said that we have lots of shows to catch up on. I'm hoping tonight we can start watching some of them.

We really have no big plans for the weekend. This evening dd and I are going to Kohls and hopefully finish up some shopping. I"m hoping maybe we can get our tree over the weekend. We will pull the decorations down tomorrow because I want to decorate over the weekend.

Hyper - hope you had a relaxing evening and that your work day is going well. I sent some pictures out last night of dd from Halloween and with her best friend. Hope you have a good weekend!
