Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

We had a good weekend.

Thursday evening we celebrated dd's birthday. It was a nice celebration. She got money from her grandmas. She was surprised when I gave her the cards. She turned 13. Where does the time go?

On Friday we had our christmas party at work. They provided food and they had some fun games where you could win prizes. I didn't win anything, but it was a nice break from the routine. Friday evening dd had a basketball game. They won their game. We came home and watched some t.v.

On Saturday we slept in. We had predictions for a big snowstorm over the weekend. DD had another game in the afternoon. Luckily this one was a home game so we just had to go up to school. They lost that game. We went home for awhile then we all went out for dinner. We came home and relaxed and watched some t.v. It started snowing right before we went to bed.

We woke up Sunday and it was snowing pretty good. We went to church. Lds's class sang and they also hosted coffee hour, so we had to stay and help with that. When we were done we went home and changed and headed out to get our Christmas tree. It was still snowing and the roads were getting bad. We got a nice tree and it turned out to be the perfect size for our living room. DH put it in the tree stand. Lds and dd went out to play in the snow. After supper they did homework then we watched some t.v.

It snowed throughout the night. The roads were plowed this morning but slippery because the temp dropped and it's icy. DH had to put his car in for an oil changed today, so he took my van to work. I'm going to put the lights on the tree and we'll decorate it when the kids get home. I'm also hoping to watch my show I have taped. I'm making chicken pasta for supper.

Scrapper hope you had a nice weekend. I look forward to hearing about it. It is only about 5 miles to school which isn't far but it's a hassle running back and forth.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

The internet finally came back up. It was down since I got in this morning.

This morning was our holiday breakfast. They delivered the food around 8 and it started at 8:30. My boss and I got our food before everyone started coming. Good thing because the line started forming right away. It was very yummy. I am going to take a walk during lunch to walk the breakfast off.

We had a nice weekend. Friday evening dd volunteered at the Food Truck festival. Her dinner break was from 7 to 8pm so we walked around to see what we wanted to eat. She got a pulled pork quesadilla and I got chicken tacos. They were very good. One of my sisters came and she ordered fromt eh grilled cheese truck...very popular. We sat and ate then my sister loaded the Christmas trees for my parents in my car. I then went to walk in the mall until dd was done at 10pm.

Saturday morning I went to the gym and ran a few errands. My best friend was coming over for scrapping and she brought my goddaughter with her. She was working on a craft project for work. We had a great time. Dd was volunteering at a toy drive/Christmas tree pick up event. She got home earlier than scheduled so she got to visit with all of us. We got our tree too. We will decorate during the week. In the evening dd and I went to the Christmas concert at church. Local church & school choirs performed...it was really nice. Dd's high school choir performed so she visited with some of her friends.

Yesterday I went to the market in the morning then we took the dogs for a walk. We went to church then came home and had lunch. Dd did some studying for her finals. Around 3 we left for the cemetery and we decorated my parents gravesites. I want to get some poinsettias to add some color. We all went to dinner after that.

Dd's finals started today. She had English and history today. She will be done at 1pm. Her last final math is on Friday. She is looking forward to sleeping in.

Hyper - sounds like dd's birthday celebration was nice. Wow - 13...time certainly flies. Glad your Christmas party was nice....always good to have a break in the daily routine. Your weekend sounds like it was nice - even with the snow. Gald you got your tree too. Have fun decorating it today. Have a good day/evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

It has been pretty quiet today...a good day to get things done. This is the last week of school before the Christmas break. They will be off for 3 weeks.

I made a doctor appt for dd for a physical. She hasn't had one in awhile. After that visit I will change her to another group and not pediatrics anymore.

Dd took the bus to zumba class this morning since she teaches at Michaels today. she has a couple of days off until her last final...more time to study. After I drop her off at work, I will go to zumba. After class I have to go pick up our Christmas card at Costco. I'm also going to buy dd a pair of black converse tennis shoes for Christmas. She mentioned that she could use a new pair.

We will have dinner and then just relax. Last night I folded towels and whites while we watched TV. Tonight maybe we can work with the tree.

Hyper - hope you had a good work day. Enjoy the afternoon & evening!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Our internet was also down all day yesterday. It finally came back up right before we went to bed.

Monday dd had practice. DH picked her up after practice. We ate dinner, I made Chicken pasta. Then we decorated our tree. It looks nice. Really feel like Christmas in the house now. Then we relaxed for a while and watched some t.v.

Yesterday was a cold day. In the teens. Lds had practice right after school. I picked dd up and we stopped at the grocer. We brought our items home and put them away then it was time to pick lds up. After that, he and dd went out to play in the snow with the neighbor kids. They came in and we ate dinner. Then I took dd to her practice. DH picked her up. The kids did homework and then we watched some t.v.

I'm going to head out and do a little christmas shopping in a little while. Then I'll come back and hopefully have some time to relax a bit. DD has practice right after school. Tonight we will go to the advent supper at church, then church. DD's class is singing.

Scrapper it sounds like you had a nice weekend. How nice that you and your best friend were able to get together for some scrapbooking. I know you always have a good time. Good luck to dd on her finals.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

It is a cold, cloudy day. Rain is supposed to be coming in this afternoon/evening lasting through tomorrow.

Things have been fairly quiet this morning. Every floor in our building has 2 sets of restrooms. Well they sent an email out that the set facing the main street are closed due to a sewer line that broke. The cafeteria is closed as well through the rest of the week. today I wanted to buy salad from the salad bar...oh well.

Dd got up early and went to zumba class with one of her friends. Her friend is done with finals and drops her siblings off at school close to the zumba studio. So she asked dd yesterday if she wanted to go. Dd called me after class and said that this instructor is slower. We have gotten used to our instructor who works you hard.

This evening dd and I are going to the Christmas concert at her high school. She wants to go see her friends perform. I want to see what they are doing this year. They also have a bake sale to raise money for the program.
It starts at 7pm. We will have dinner before we leave. I made bbq chicken breasts. I'll make mashed potatoes and veggies.

Hyper - I know having the Christmas tree done really makes it feel like Christmas...I love the smell too!! You really had a cold day yesterday. Has the snow been consistent since the weekend? Have fun Christmas shopping. Hope you have good luck finding what you need to buy. I hope to go out on Saturday and finish up my shopping. Enjoy the evening at church.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

We went to the advent supper last night. It was very good. They served lasagna, salad and garlic bread and of course lots of yummy deserts. After the supper we went to the service. DD's class sang. We came home and watched a little t.v.

I did get a little shopping done yesterday. I will have to go out one more time to finish up.

DD has practice this evening. We are having pizza for supper. DH will pick dd up from practice. Not much else going on. We'll probably watch some t.v. later in the evening.

Scrapper We haven't had any more snow since Monday. The roads are mostly clear now. But they are predicting more snow for this coming weekend. That's too bad about the broken sewer line. Too bad they couldn't have fixed it right away, but I guess something like that takes more time to repair. That was nice that dd got to go to zumba yesterday morning. It's funny how different instructors can have different styles of running the class. How was the concert. I'm sure dd enjoyed watching her friends.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

I have been working on a variety of things. My boss went out to lunch with some staff members. It's on the quiet side. I am working though my lunch since I have to leave at 2pm for my doctor appt with the specialist. They will confirm whether I will need the surgery. They are close to my work so that is good.

This evening dd wraps up teaching her first class. She has enjoyed it so far and having only 2 ladies in the class made it easier. I believe they start up in January again. I need to check with her to see when they have scheduled her for. After I drop her off, I will head to zumba. I have to stop at Target to pick up a few groceries before picking dd up. Then home to relax and watch some TV.

Tomorrow is dd's last final and then she is done until Spring semester which starts in February. She will be busy baking tomorrow as she has an order for 5 dozen cupcakes to deliver on Saturday afternoon.

We just got back from a fire drill. We had to evacuate 5 floors because of an alarm they were investigating on the 14th floor. We are on 16 and go down to the 10th.

Hyper - the advent supper sounds very yummy. Do the classes take turns singing for the services? Glad you got some shopping done. Yes, repairs continue today on the sewer line. They sent an update and said they had to break part of the sidewalk in front of the building. The cafeteria is closed and won't reopen until next Tuesday. There are food trucks that are coming and people are walking to different places. I bring my lunch so not too bad for me.

The concert was very nice. The 4 groups did a nice job. Yes, dd enjoyed watching her friends perform. She got to talk to them after the performance. It was nice to see how happy they were to see her. they told her they miss her.

Have a good evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Happy Friday!! It was very cold this morning....41. I wore my big coat. Dd was in layers as well. She has her last final this morning scheduled from 7:30 to 10. Luckily she didn't have to stand and wait for the bus too long. She got out of the car and it came shortly after.

I stopped off at the flower mart this morning. I bought some poinsettias to add to my parent's gravesites. It will add some color.

It is a busy day with payroll. All time for the month is due today.

I am going to lunch with one of my friends today. It will be nice to catch up. She sits in the next aisle from me. Every time I stop to talk to her we get interrupted because they give her phone calls.

After work going to the mall to pick up some gift cards. I am making steak sandwiches for dinner. We will relax and watch TV.

Tomorrow I would like to finish my Christmas shopping and finish decorating. Dd has her cupcake order to deliver at 5:30. Then she has a Christmas party with the club she was in.

Hyper - hope you have a good day at work. Have a good evening and enjoy your weekend!!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

We had a good weekend.

On Friday evening dd had a basketball game. Since I had to work the weekend and the game was pretty far from home, I stayed home with lds and dh went to the game with dd.
Lds and I went out for dinner. Bds was gone with friends. We came back and played a couple board games. Then we watched some t.v. I had just put lds to bed and was getting ready to go to bed myself when dd and dh walked in. They won their game. I talked to them for a little bit and headed off to bed.

On Saturday when I got home the neighbor kids were over playing with lds and dd. I took a shower and relaxed for a while. DH asked me if I wanted to go out for dinner. Of course I did. The kids stayed home. We brought food back for them. We watched t.v. and relaxed the rest of the evening.

On Sunday afternoon our church was having a choir service. DD had to sing with the junior choir. I came home for work and got ready. It started at 4:00 but dd needed to be there at 3:30. The service was very nice. the senior choir, junior choir and men's choir all did songs. After the service there was a potluck. DD had made a peanut butter oreo pie earlier in the day and that is what we brought for the potluck. The food was good. DD's pie turned out really good. We watched t.v. when we got home.

This morning my neighbor and I met for breakfast. When I came home I cleaned the house and started laundry. I watched a show I had taped when I was done cleaning. I still have a load of towels going. DD has practice this evening.

Scrapper hope you had a nice weekend.
Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Our schools are now on vacation so calls aren't heavy. It is a good time to catch up on work.

During lunch I went over to one of the shopping centers. I got 2 gifts. Now all I need is gift cards and my shopping will be done. The organizing and wrapping begins.

Today dd is working on an order of cake pops for tomorrow. My niece asked her if she could make some for her daughter's Christmas party at school.

We will go to zumba this evening. I am making pork chops, brown rice and veggies. Then we will watch TV....the finale of The Voice starts tonight.

We had a good weekend. Friday evening we stopped at the mall and picked up some gift cards. We headed home and had dinner. Dd had to finish baking her cupcakes.

Saturday morning after the gym I ran a few errands. I stopped to pick up some things dd needed for her baking orders. She went out to lunch with 2 of her friends. When she got back, she frosted & decorated the cupcakes and we went to deliver them. They loved them. After dinner I took her to the party for the club she was in at school. They were doing a gift exchange. She was going to stay for a little while. During that time I went to Kohls...they were open until midnight. Dd sent me a text that she was ready to be picked up. It worked out great as I was checking out.

Yesterday we put the lights up outside. All the decorating is done and it looks nice & festive. We went to church and late afternoon went to the cemetery. My nephew, niece and the baby came. He will be 5 months this week and he is so cute. He is at the age where he is interacting with you. We all went to dinner and had a nice evening.

Hyper - good idea not to go to dd's game since it was far from home and you having to get up early for work the next morning. It was nice that you got to spend some time with lds. Sounds like it was a good evening. Yay that dd's team won. That is good that you and dh got to go out to dinner. The choir service sounds like it was nice. The pie that dd made sounds yummy. That was nice that you got to catch up with your neighbor.

Have a good evening.
