Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

A quiet morning so far. My boss is pretty busy today with meetings. I am going to empty my payroll binder and get it ready for the new school year.

My doctor appt went well yesterday. My labwork was all good..he is happy. I got a tetanus shot since I was due for it. My arm is sore today. My next appt. is in 4 months. I got home in time to go to zumba. After class we went to the mall, dd needed an outfit for her ballet class plus shoes. We found everything. She doesn't need any textbooks for her 2 classes so the expense for the clothes was like paying for a book. We had dinner and watched TV.

I think we may be babysitting this evening...my great-nephew. My nephew & his wife are going to Disneyland for her birthday today. Her grandma will watch him during the day. I guess I will find out later when dd calls me.

Hyper - that was nice that you and dh got out on Monday. Sounds like it was a productive day. What a nice treat to go out to lunch for your birthday. That makes sense for bds to want his grad party later after most have had theirs. Did dd finish re-organizing her room? Enjoy your day off. time to go downstairs and get some coffee.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

After supper yesterday we sat outside for awhile. The kids were outside playing. We came in and watched some t.v. in the evening.

Today I got up and straightened the house. I need to do a load of laundry but I'm too lazy to do it right now. I'll throw it in later. Lds is over at the neighbors. Bds and dd are playing a video game together which is nice because now that he is getting older he's not home alot and the kids miss him. Today is dd's library day. Her friend's dad is bringing them and I'll be picking them up. DH is going to come home early today. We need to run out and get some dog food. We also want to look for some new light fixtures for our kitchen. We have tract lighting right now. It always shorts out and half the time the lights don't work. DH has a gift card for home depot, so we're hoping to find something that we like there. We'll probably watch some t.v. in the evening. My show that I watch is on hiatus. I have to wait till the new season starts.

I have some news. My job has been really taking a toll on my body for the last few months. Also management really doesn't treat their employees very well. DH and I have been talking about it. I still have problems with my shoulder which I probably always will. My body is just tired. I am going in later today and give my notice. DH wants me to take a month and let my body heal and just decompress. Sort of a mental/physical health break. After a month I will start looking for another job. My job was very stressful not only physically but mentally as well. I will really miss my residents, but I will still see them at church. I will be able to go visit them occasionally as well. I'm nervous about this decision. I hope I'm doing the right thing. DH told me everything will be o.k.

Scrapper I'm glad that everything went well with your appt. How old is your great nephew? You are right since you didn't have to buy books the outfit balanced out to be the same as if you would have had to pay for books.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I have about 7 meetings my boss wants me to schedule. Most will have to be scheduled in mid-July or later when staff is back. I think I will walk indoors today...we are having a heatwave...triple digits through the weekend.

We didn't babysit after all. The baby was going to stay with his grandma all day. Since dd doesn't have a car she couldn't go pick him up. He is 11 months turning a year old on July 19th.

Dd and I went to zumba and after class we went to Target to get some things we needed. We had beef tacos for dinner then watched TV and relaxed for awhile.

Today dd has her ballet class and they had to dress today. She gets to school early enough that she can dress there. We are going to work out then head home...no stops to make tonight. We are having chicken breasts with rice and veggies.

Hyper - that is nice that bds and dd got to spend some time together. He is busy with work and his friends. Did you find new light fixtures for your kitchen? We have been catching up on our shows that we have recorded. it is a good time to catch up since most of our shows the season has ended. How did it go going in to give your notice? It isn't worth it if you were so stressed out and you were feeling it physically as well. That isn't good that management doesn't treat their employees well. I think you made the right decision - our health is a priority. Everything will work out-don't worry. I will keep you in my prayers. Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Today work was busy. I gave my notice today. My supervisor understood. She people who work in this type of environment often reach a burn out level. I didn't mention how I felt about management because I didn't want to burn any bridges. Actually my last day will be Saturday. That is the end of the pay period and they said it would be easier for them if I would make that my last day. I was fine with that.

When I got home from work, the kids wanted to go to the pool. We invited lds's neighbor friend and his sister to go along. They had a great time swimming. I read again.

I made spaghetti for supper. I took a shower after supper because I was pretty sweaty from sitting in the sun at the pool. We will watch some t.v. and relax this evening.

Scrapper thank you for your support and kind words. Sounds like you had a busy day at work. How did dd like her ballet class?

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning and Happy Friday ladies,

I made my stop at the flower mart this morning. I didn't want to go out during lunch since it is going to be hot. Today I am closing out the June payroll cards and printing my end of month report. I am also going to start preparing the time cards for the new school year. I now have all of the information I needed.

After zumba class, dd and I stopped at the market. We needed milk and then we picked up some salads for our lunch today. We watched TV and relaxed after dinner. I did get to bed earlier last night. I had been getting to bed later than I wanted to.

This evening dd and I are going to the mall. I need to finish shopping for a baby shower gift for tomorrow. My girlfriend's daughter is having a baby girl. We will probably pick up dinner while we are out.

Tomorrow dd and I both have haircuts. We got to different places. My appt is at 11am and dd is at 2pm. I had to make her appt. for after she gets out of work at noon. After her appt we will go to the baby shower.

Hyper - that was good that your supervisor understood your giving notice...made it easier. It makes sense for your last day to be at the end of the pay period. So one more work day for you after today, then it willbe time for you to unwind and de-stress. I know the kids will enjoy having you home...especially now that it is summer. Dd liked her ballet class...she said they had quite the workout and was feeling sore. she said she remembered some of the movements from when she took dance when she was younger. The middle of next month she will register for the fall semester already. Have a good Friday and enjoy your weekend!!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

We had a good weekend.

On Friday when I got home from work, lds, dd and I headed up to dh's work. It was their 50th anniversary and they were having an open house. Bds couldn't go because he had to work at 4:00. It was fun. They had bouncy houses set up for the kids and they had alot of good food. We came home about 5:00. When we got home the kids went out to play and dh and I sat outside. I picked bds up from work at 8:00 then we watched t.v. for the evening.

Saturday was my last day of work. I took some pictures of my residents. It was sad at the end of the day when I said goodbye. When I got home dh was out running errands. The kids went out to play. Bds was going out with friends. I made cheeseburgers for supper. We watched t.v. in the evening.

On Sunday it was our Pastor's retirement Service. The service was beautiful. Afterwards their was a potluck. They had lots of good food. It was very sad when Pastor gave his speech. I cried. After it was over we went home and changed and relaxed for a little. DH and I took the kids up to the pool. Sundays are family day and it's free to get in. They had fun swimming. DH and I sat and got some sun and talked. After that we went home and all took quick showers. We went to applebees for supper. We had a nice time. We came home and relaxed and watched t.v. for the evening.

Today dd is going to get back in her room and continue with her organizing. I said I would help her to make it go faster. She never did finish before. I'm hoping we can finish it today. I'm also doing laundry. Lds went over to the neighbors to play. Bds is still sleeping. I don't know yet what he has planned for today. I'm making tacos for supper.

Scrapper hope you had a good weekend.

Have a good day

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

The first thing I did when I got to work was to put the timecards for the new school year in the sign in folder. I closed out the time cards for June and printed the end of the month report. Lots of paperwork to deal with at the end of the school year. I am also going to work on putting my payroll folder together.

It will be a short workweek for lots of us. I only work through Wednesday and the other 2 days are unassigned (unpaid). My boss is taking some vacation time...she is here through tomorrow then will be back on the 11th.

We had a good weekend. Friday evening we went shopping to finish buying the gift for the baby shower. At Penneys I used one of my gift cards and bought 2 tops and dd got a 1 piece jumper.

Saturday I went to work out and got my haircut. I picked dd up from work and then we went for her haircut appt. From there we went to the baby shower. It was good visiting with my friend and seeing her daughter. We stayed until they opened up the gifts...they got lots of very nice things. We went home and relaxed and watched TV for awhile.

Yesterday I went to the marker first thing in the morning because it was going to be a very hot day. We took the dogs for a walk after breakfast but cut it short because of the weather and poor things were getting tired. So dd and I decided to take them before breakfast. She was funny she said "let's switch to summer hours for their walk." We got ready for church. We went home and had some lunch and I sorted laundry. We watched TV for awhile and dd worked on an assignment that she had to turn in online. We left for the cemetery to meet my sisters. It was good catching up and then we went to dinner.

We will go work out when I get home. We are having our beef with rice and veggies. I will continue with laundry this evening. After dinner I will head outside to do some watering...it is all dry because of the heat.

Hyper - the 50th anniversary at dh's work sounded like it was fun. I'm sure that your last day of work was sad. Your pastor's retirement did sound beautiful and sad as well. I'm sure lots of people are sad that he is leaving. Swimming sounds like the kids had fun. What do they charge to get in? That was nice that you all went out to eat yesterday....great way to wrap up the weekend. Good luck to you and dd in getting her room done today. Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Yesterday dd and I finished her room. She got rid of 2 bags of clothes. Everything is very clean and organized in there. She still wants to move her furniture, but I told her we will have dh help with that. We will probably do that sometime over the holiday break. DH will be off Wed. thru the following Monday. I made tacos for supper last night. Poor lds kept falling asleep on the couch off and on yesterday afternoon which isn't like him. I was worried he was getting sick, but he didn't have a temp. Sure enough in the middle of the night he came in to our bedroom and said he wasn't feeling well. He was running a temp and is congested. He is still sleeping right now. I figure I will just let him sleep. I'm going to take him to the express clinic if he is still sick when he wakes up. I don't want him to be sick over the 4th of July.

I have been cleaning my kitchen and living room this morning. I still have the bathrooms left. I wanted to get the house in order so I don't have to worry about it over the holiday. I finished my laundry yesterday. I'm doing towels today. DD and lds had wanted to go to target today beause they have money, but I don't think we'll be able if lds is sick. I'm making breakfast for supper tonight.

Scrapper your weekend sounds nice. I did see on the news the heat that you are having. I hope you get a break soon. That's cute " summer hours" for your dogs. The baby shower sounds like it was nice. Glad you got to visit with your friend. Our pool charges 3.00 per person. But if you're a parent and not going to swim, just watching your kids, they don't charge you.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

I finally finished putting my payroll notebook together. I want to go through my files and clean them out. I can probably do that while my boss is on vacation.

Today I brought in a cupcake order for dd. A staff member ordered them for her meeting. They were cookies & cream topped with an oreo cookie. They are good...she made those for my birthday as well.

Tonight I am going to the gym for aerobics class and dd is going to the 5pm zumba class instead of the 6pm class we go to. She will take the bus back toward home, and we will meet at the market. We have a few things to pick up. We are having chicken tostadas for dinner. W will probably watch TV and relax.

Hyper - that is great that you and dd finished up with her room. Nice to get rid of clothes that is just taking up space. It will look great once her furniture is moved around the way she wants it. Dh has a nice break...very cool. Did you end up taking lds to the express clinic? Hope he is back to his self soon. Good idea to get the cleaning done now and out of the way. That is nice that they don't charge at the pool if the parent is watching their kids. Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

It has been kind of quiet but at times the phones get pretty busy. Lots of people in our division are off unassigned the rest of this week. My boss is on vacation through the 10th. I am looking forward to the 4-day weekend.

After the gym, I picked up dd from zumba. We stopped at the market and then went home to have dinner. Our chicken tostadas were relly good we topped them with lettuce, tomato, avocado and salsa...so good. We watched TV and relaxed. Dd has a nice break because of the holiday she doesn't go back until next Tuesday.

My niece is going to join us for zumba this evening. She goes to a new gym in the same strip where the zumba studio is at. She peeked in yesterday and saw dd. So she texted dd and said she wants to try it out today.

We are having steak and sweet potatoe fries that dd is making along with some veggies. One of the local high schools does a firework show the day before the 4th so we will go to that. Tomorrow morning going to the comunity 4th of July Parade then to my sister's for a bbq.

Hyper - hope you are having a good day and that lds is feeling better today. Happy 4th of July.
