I agree with the researching! I do see my doctor tomorrow and I will mention this. Boy, I successfully made french toast a few minutes ago and I could only manage eating half of it, now I do not feel so good...bummer!

responding to some of today's early posts

elleanor, congrats on your wonderful recovery. It sounds like you are reaping the benefits of taking it easy. You've earned this nice recovery, you aren't getting away with anything. Give yourself a big pat on the back!

twobtrue, I hpe you're not getting a cold or sinus thing. Have you tried any of the COLDEEZE or AIRBOURNE or IMMUNE FIZZ products? They've helped me for the past 3 years. Good luck to you.

Luv2Knit, You'll read this when you get back from your mom's. I hope you fared well today! I'll bet your visit was such a huge blessing to your mom.

northof49, getting something pretty sounds like a great idea. It sounds like your spirits could use some lifting today. I'm craving a caramel apple after reading your post! We're here for you....

mrs willie, start your list. It's a great idea. Can you take anything for pain or anxiety before the appt? You've been thru a lot. No one blames you for being afraid. I'm always nervous when I have to go, but for different reasons.

wackadoo: Weren't you the lady that had severe problems with numbness after the surgery and they believed you may have had some nerve damage? Maybe this numbness is related. Make sure you write all of your concerns down, even on a calendar, so you can relay all of your problems to your doctor on your next visit.

Yes that is what one doctor told me, then my normal doctor saw a swollen lymph node on that side. Thank you advice, I will make a list. I get so frustrated I feel like if it is not one thing it is another.

I know exactly how you feel. I was readmitted to hospital last week. That's when they told me to grab a calendar and write everything that occurs each day so I can take it to the gyno on Thursday. It has actually been pretty helpful as I know that I'll forget things and the gyno can see how things are progressing. I think it's especially important for ladies like us who have suffered a few setbacks.

"I feel like I am finally on the road to recovery. I am starting to feel a little better. Yesterday i did find i was finally able to eat and keep it down (now i can work on gaining) I know that sounds funny a women who wants to gain weight but I went from 125 and i weighed in yesterday at 117 it is very unhealthy for me. maybe now that i am eating my energy will become more ( I hope)"
I have been dealing w/no appetite, weight loss, nausea and low energy as well. You are right on when you say, "I know that sounds funny a woman who wants to gain.." but I know where you're coming from. It feels good to have an appetite once in a while. My lowest wt thru this was 85.4 pounds, but yesterday I weighed 90, so that's progress in my book. Eating should give us some of that missed energy we've been feeling. It should help our endorphins or feel good hormones, as well. What are you craving right now? Anything specific? Egg nog is the only thing I can think of, and I got to have a starbuck's egg nog latte yesterday. It was soooo yummy!

I made it to the mall! You'll laugh at this one. I had searched the store online and had seen a couple of pretty things that I might like. I got to the store and asked for it. They didn't have it. I started bawling! What a sight I must have been. The store clerk couldn't have been more than 20 yrs old and had no idea what to do. Poor thing! I started to walk out of the store and the manager came out and asked if she could help. She was about 45 - 5o years old and has had a hyster as well. She got me a chair in the back of the store, made me a tea and then proceeded to show me all the prettiest things in the store. She understood that I am feeling not so womanly and a little self-concious about my incision. She also knew I didn't want anything too sleezy or over the top. I picked out a pretty little chemise for the big day and a really pretty lounge outfit. When I went to pay she gave me 20% off just to make me feel better. Wow! What a boost! She made me feel great.

So, after I left the store I got my caramel apple and I had no guilt eating it at all!

I'm now laying on my couch in my fancy new lounge outfit! I almost feel like a woman again!

Ok princess, sounds like you had some major good kharma in your corner. I am so happy for you. What store did this happen in? I think the manager should get some kind of award for coming to your rescue! I sure want to give her store my business. I'll bet you feel just beautiful in your new lounge outfit. Pamper yourself today. Thanks for sharing your bad, then good, experience!
