Heck, I don't want a tummy tuck... I'll do a year of crunches and bike riding before I do that!!!!

I was wondering if a bunch of us had a loose belly afterwards. Sort of reminds me of when I had a baby.

Weird, at 52.

Mine is not loose but it is still swollen. I don't know what it will be like when and if that ever goes away.

I am with you no tummy tuck for me.

Mine isn't loose either. Its right above the incision , and i'm getting tired of it. I think that is was keeps our incision so sore, Even that swelling we are talking about is kinda touchy. Is yours?

Mine is still sore from belly button to under the incision, especially on the left side.

Hope you are having a good day!

I know, its like all you have to do is barely rub across that area with your hand and you can feel the soreness. Well its going up to 60 degrees here today, I might take a walk. This silly Missouri weather, no wonder there are alot of people with sinus troubles. Thanks, I will a have a nice day. You too!

Hi Ladies,

I have been away from my computer for a few days and boy did I miss a lot.
I am glad to hear we can still post as a group after the 8 weeks, I would hate to lose contact with you guys. I will also be on the cancer posts because I will be starting radiaiton treatments December 3, that should be an interesting experience.

Michele, glad to hear you are a feeling better you know it will improve everyday.

Mrswillie, healing is a weird thing look at me my incision is still open but inside I am fine go figure, it takes time, enjoy it you will probably never get another chance for R&R again.

I will check back later, bye for now

talking about our bellies, I knew mine was swelly but did not realize what was going on inside until I triied on a pair of geans that I wore last year and had to really suck it up to get them on, once I zipped them up I couldn't wait to get them off and my belly really hurt.. I thought I was all healed too. Guess we need lots more time to be ourselves again..

Glad about being able to still keep in touch even after 8 weeks.. I will still be here.

healing thoughts to everyone.

I haven't been online in a couple of days. Lot's of catching up on this board.
Jan..I'm sorry that your healing is taking longer than expected. Take it easy and before you know it, you'll be back to your old self.

Michelle..I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling better and able to get out and about.

I can't believe that yesterday was my 6 week mark. Boy this time has flown by and I can't believe how good I feel.
I'm also glad to learn that we will all still be able to post and update on our progress. Hopefully one day soon we will all feel wonderful

Thanks Suki, Joan, & Lisa!! I have been trying to rest, but it is hard when I look around my house and really want to get back at it.

Joan I can relate. I think it is going to take quite some time for my poor belly to be back to pre op condition in more ways than one!

Tina glad you can get outside. Especially since it is all supposed to turn so nasty next week.

I am really glad we found out we can post and even more glad to hear that you all plan on continuing, because as I have stated before you ladies are all so wonderful and I would be lost without you all!!

incision

My incision is beautiful I wish I could show it off!!!
Its thin as a pencil line... too bad the other surgeries I have over the years didn't heal as perfect.

I hurt inside and ache in the morning and late in the day... and sometimes in between but there are periods where I feel pretty great and forget I had a TAH.

My belly is sore from the incision area up to my ribs, more so in the middle the higher you get. Just above my incision for about three or four inches I have NOOOOO feeling, completely NUMB!! Its pretty weird. I had that same thing with ankle surgery and after a few months it began to go away the same time all the swelling goes away. But there is a spot from my gallbladder surgery that will be forever numb. So, we will see with time the end results.

Anybody else have numb areas where the nerves are affected???
