Lower right back pain and stretching feeling in abdomen

For the past couple of days, I've had this feeling in my lower abdomen like its pulling or stretching and can be painful! Like a sharp pain. Now I have bad lower back pain on the right side. It's very annoying and hard to sit and do work. I'm having a hyst. in Nov. and they suspect I have endo and adeno (lucky me)!
Has anyone had similar symptoms? What did you do for relief? I'm also really constipated if that makes any difference.
Thanks!

Lower right back pain and stretching feeling in abdomen

Hey there,

I have had the exact symptoms you describe. Heating pad and motrin help. I try not to take anything stronger than that because I can't function. I make sure to take it every 4 hours.

I have at times actually felt like my stomach muscles had been overworked, as if I've done 500 crunches or something. My endo is heavy in the area of my rectum and is now constricting my rectum, causing pretty severe constipation, bloating and pain during bm's (sorry too be so graphic!!)

Like I said, the heating pad does wonders. I also take Citrucel 2x a day to help with the constipation, and unlike the Metamucil, it doesn't cause all the excess gas. I'm still having trouble, but it's much better with the Citrucel than without Right now, I don't think the stress and worry about the upcoming hyst is helping either......

I have also found that some sort of exercise (I try to walk 3-5 miles per day) helps keep everything moving a little better and even seems to help with some of my back pain. I had a massage last Friday, and that helped a bit too.

Good luck and hang in there, hopefully we won't be miserable much longer!!

Hi! I get that lovely feeling also .I have no idea whats causing it.. ( i have a really bad ovary and thats the side it hurts )to relieve it i use moist heat . such as a hot water bottle.I seem to respond better to it than the heating pad. don't know why! i am a princess in waiting I will be in the castle for my TAH,BSO on Oct 16th.so I guess we will find out soon! maybe the moist heat will work for you.hope it helps! Best of luck! Chey
