Ovarian cysts after BSO????

I had a CT scan on friday and my 6 week post op appt yesterday.
Dr kept looking at the scan result and my chart. Then said we took your ovaries right...Yes. Then he showed me the scan result that said I had small cysts on my left ovary. Dr told me that they can't see an ovary on a CT. So that the tech assumed that they were ovarian cysts. (I told the dr that I have been having the same pain in that area as I did with my cysts before surgery) He said it could be a leftover piece of tube or a piece of ovary that will die off due to lack of blood flow. Then he told me the pain should go away on it own within a few weeks and if not come back in for an ultrasound.

Anyone else have something like this???

Ovarian cysts after BSO????

Hi,

I am sorry you are having this problem. I have not had this, but I have read here on the site that others have had a remnant left that might cause a problem.

Hopefully yours will not cause a problem and nothing further will needed to be done.

If you want to read about remnants you can do a Search and put in the word remant and threads will come up on it.

Wishing you painfree days ahead.
