Climara Patch "Sticking"

I have seen several inquiries here about whether the Climara Patch sticks well or not. I just wanted to share with anyone interested that I just started the patch the day before yesterday and I swam all day in a chlorinated pool, took a hot shower when I got home and went swimming again today (another shower). I did not change a thing from how I usually do it. And, naturally, I was the last one to get the shower and had that wet bathing suit on longer than anyone. The patch has remained in place and not budged at all. I have to admit I am amazed.

I actually feel pretty good (it's been a while) so it must be working (so far) but I still think I am going to ask for the Vivelle Dot when I go to my doctor on the 17th for the simple reason you change that one twice a week. Seems to me 7 days is a long time and might have an effect on the levels of estrogen I am getting. It strikes me as so odd that the body only absorbs the daily mg and no more. Makes more sense that it takes a lot at first then slooooowws. )

Of course, I don't know much about this but I will ask when I go.

Climara Patch "Sticking"

Mary,
I'm happy to hear that the patch is staying stuck. That is so very important, as the hormones are in the adhesive.

When I was on the Climara, I found that I had to change my patch around every 6 days. By the 6th day I found my estrogen levels to be dipping. That was just my experience.

Do keep us posted on how you're doing.
