I had surgery on Oct 9th. It was LAVH. They were able to leave my ovaries. I have felt really good other than after about a week I got a cold which was no fun. I went back to work 1/2 days after 6 days and back to work full days after 13. But for the last two weeks I am sick to my stomach all the time. It isn't so bad that I can not eat but certain smells make this feeling even worse. I can't drink coffee anymore b/c it makes it worse. Nothing helps any suggestions on why I may be feeling like this and what might help?

cng7549 (sorry I don't know your name) - I had my surgery the same day as you (but included my ovaries). I went back to work the Monday after but I pretty much set my own hours (Realtor) and can work from home so it wasn't too bad. Sunday I started throwing up and didn't stop for about a day. Talk about miserable. Now, I feel teh same as you - sick to my stomach all the time. I was having some stomach trouble before the throwing up started, but that's not new so I didn't think anything of it. I've noticed my reflux being really, really bad lately. Anyway, not sure any of this helps, but reading your post made me think maybe this is related to the surgery in some way (I was actually thinking maybe it was a hormone thing, but since you kept your ovaries that kind of blew that theory!). Feel better.

I felt the same exact pain. It felt like my cervix was going to fall out and I started to panic. I was told the stabbing pains are "Healing pains" Hang in there! I'm feeling much better now and have gone back to work full time (three days ago) THe first day was rough but today was pretty good. I'm a teacher and am on my feet all day with 13 eight year olds. Of course their hugs make it easier to go back. I'm on my way......

Hi guys, wow its been a rough few days here.... all of a sudden there is discomfort while using the bathroom again, not pain but discomfort at the incision site and it takes a few seconds for it to go away when I am done. Been feeling really blah mostly though since all of a sudden I have no energy and its like wow here I thought I was healing good and now this.
I know I need to take it one day at a time but geesh I am just wanting to be healed completely.....
Is anyone having problems sleeping? Some nights are better than others.
Okay well thats it for me today maybe I can get a nap in or something....

Well I did go to work today for 4 hours. Came home very tired. And I am still having some pain, especially after being on my feet. Doc says it just takes time. But its hard to deal with. I am planning on working Thursd and Friday this week for 4 hours. Suppose to go back next week full time. Hope I can do it. Last night had a lot of pain. Is this how some of you are feeling? Just not sure what to think? They are good to me at work, but I know the girls who covered for me are tired of working, because they are usually part time..................INPUT GREATLY APPRECIATED...........THANKS........Marguerite(beacher29)

I herd it could take a year or more to feel like ourselves again. I have been really tired these past couple of days. i just got up from a nap and now I have a headache. ): I still have pain. Itis mostly alot of pulling at the incision area. I am also having a discharge and have been for 2 weeks. The dr. said that is normal from inside healing. IAfter the dr. visit he said I was healing on time but was only 1/2 way there and he extended my recovery 2 more weeks. that is giving me 8 wks. I too felt guilty dropping the note off at work, my employees have been doing double duty since I have been ot. I talked to a few that day and they were glad to be getting the extra pay for Christmas. maybe you can look at it that way Beacher29. But I know one thing, I am glad he gave me the extra 2 weeks. I need to be alittle better than I am now. i work retail and itis very strenuous. I deal with the trucks that ccome in among other detailed work in my departments. keep your chin up. Don't wear yourself down.

i, too have trouble with gas, going, some pain and a lot of tiredness. it's definitely been two steps forward, one step back for me the whole month. my doctor says to look at the progress week to week instead of day to day. when i do that i see how much better i am. but when i look day to day it can be depressing.

i feel for those of you who are going back to work already. i'm not sure i'd have it in me, to be honest with you. i hope you take it as slow and easy as possible.

hope you are all feeling good today, or at least better than last week. ;o)
