Hi girls.

So glad to see most of you are feeling much better now.

I thought I was too, was walking to my mum's and to a friends and back daily a week ago, but the last few days I have had an intense pain in my left groin which is a bit of a set back. Its awful at night and comes on as soon as I lay down flat. Its sort of like a bad burning inside, I suppose its a bit below the end of my incision. Also when walking or being upright it hurts like a pulling sensation as if I have pulled a muscle but worse. It does not hurt when I am sitting upright.

So I am having to take painkillers at night just to sleep (2-3 hours at a time at most), I didn't have to take any pills til this started. I will try and get in to see my GP tomorrow as this is worrying me now as not getting any better with time just worse.

Sorry for having a bit of a moan as you girls seem so cheery!

I hope you are all well.

Your dog is cute toriatee....I don't seem to have too much pulling anymore. I'm more concerned now with getting back into shape before going back to work on 12-4-07. We all have been down for soooo... long it seems like by your 6th week(mine anyway) I feel better, but tire easily and know when I use muscles that I haven't used that often . i'm trying to sit up straighter and walking with my shoulders back. have been doing leg exercises every day. I sure wish I could get rid of this "twinkie" though. Take care.

Thanks girls!!

This site is an absolute Godsend, just knowing there are others out there (where ever in the world they may be) who know how you feel and give each other the support and encouragement we all need is just amazing, I just wish I had found this site way before I had my hyst!!

Hugs to all and I will check in tomorrow after the dr's visit. Have a good day, its 5.20pm here and DH has just gone to KFC to get my tea, a bit of a treat is in order, he has been fantastic the last 4 weeks!, I do not know what I would have done without him!

Hi ladies.

Just back from the dr, he said it is like a pulled muscle or ligament and is most likely skeleto-muscular pain and not directly linked to surgery. I did feel a bit daft as I was certain it was something more sinister. Its a relief though. He also said it looks like I am healing nicely and the incision looks very good!

So he has given me ibuprofen to take 3 times a day and said to get back to the walking as this will help also. But if not better in a week to go back and see him.

Who knew a little pulled muscle could hurt that much?!

Thank you for your kind words and support girls.

Hope you all have a good day today, where ever you are. ((((HUGS))))

Well to all of us princesses I do have to say I was sore as heck last night. And basically did nothing all weekend so I don't know why that was.And I will tell you all, the most frustrating thing is the tiredness.I was told I would not be back to 100% for at least 6 months to a year.Just have to wait it out.And for the family and friends who are sick of hearing about us being achey and sore...too bad.Just because our incisions have basically healed and there are no bandages and bleeding doesn't mean we are better. It's like if you see someone with a broken leg you know they have pain but just because our surgery is concealed by our clothes and we are trying to do a little bit more does not and I repeat does not mean we are better. It just means we have to take it one day at a time and healing on the inside is very slow. It's wet in there all the time.I do have to say my fiancee is the one that keeps telling me all this.He has been and still is so supportive. And for that I am truly grateful. He is so darn patient.Way more than I am.I am eager to get back on track but he doesn't doubt my pain anyway. He even got up last night and got me my heating pad.Kisses to him.Our bodies are changing drasticly. It is going to take time for our minds and bodies to adjust to the big ordeal we all needed to have to get better.I know for myself if I didn't have the surgery it would have been way worse for me.I have designated the family certain chores and it has been great.Yeah maybe they might grumble under their breath but they do what needs to be done for now.So you need to expalin to your family...not only are you recovering form surgery but mood changes, emotions, hormones, physical changes are also involved here too.I hope that you all get the support you need to heal and stay healthy...physically and mentally. But until that time comes we are all in this together and complain away we inderstand.Wish everyone did...best wishes and prayers to all of you

good morning to all. I am into my 6th week and the only thing that seems to be bothering me is the roll of skin (twinkie) above my incision. i am great in the morn., so I doalot of the chores then, around 6-7 p.m. that evening I sit . I think I might know what causes my pain there. if i sit for along time, lets say an hr. or two the pressure from that (twinkie) builds up on top of my incision 9swelling) and that causes the incision pain. So today I will run a test and try not to sit for a long period of time. then again yesterday I did vaccuum, dust and do a couple loads of laundry ( my son carried the laundry fro me) But I had no pain during the vaccuuming. You would think by this time you could do alittle more each day and start to feeling better. I am not going to stop doing that. I must get back into shape before I go back to work or I won't survive there. Hope everyone is having a good day today

Do you think walking for half an hour is overdoing it? I've been feeling good enough to walk that long this past week, but then I'm hurting later. Also, went to the market with DH the other day and that really took it out of me. I was so out of it that night, my knees were literally weak and I was in pain again. How do you judge what's too much if you feel okay while you are doing it but then pay for it later?

I hope everyone is doing okay today.
