Arimidex

I don't have any experience with Arimidex, but did a search of this forum and found quite a few posts where it has been discussed. You can read some of the info here until someone comes along with firsthand experience.

Arimidex

Hi CVicha!
I am on Arimidex. I was diagnosed in July '06 and just finished treatments June 29th of '07. Since my hysterectomy was July 31st, my oncologist wanted to wait and start me on Arimidex since I would be put straight into menopause. I have done very well. Even after the hysterectomy I haven't had many menopause symptoms, although I must be in it since I have no ovaries! I have very light hot flashes at night- more of a nuisance- covers off and on. I have found that sleeping with the fan on and at least one foot out of the covers works well! I also have joint pain- which they say can be a side effect, but I had it really bad during chemo and what I have now is tolerable. And since everything else is going so well, I don't want to try something else. I hope this helps!
Take Care!
Jennine
