Hello.... Ummm.... Yes.... I, too, am constantly grazing.... and all of a sudden EVERYTHING sounds delicious!! Are you gaining weight too???

I've put on a few pounds and was blaming it on hormone imbalances.... thankfully, that seems to be working itself out thanks to the "too much / too little" list. I've been upping progesterone and lowering estrogen trying to find a balance and think I'm almost there.

My biggest complaint is NO SLEEP.... I take Ambien CR already and STILL wake up around 2 am then every 15 to 30 minutes after until time to get up. Any suggestions here???

It's all about "finding normal" again, isn't it?? (And normal apparently isn't what it used to be!!)

Good luck with the appetite!

I hesitate to step on the scales - wahhhh! But I know that knowledge is power and no matter how many lbs have come on, I don't want it to balloon to an unreasonable amount. I will courageously step on the scales tomorrow (at work we have a digital), and know that I have to do something. I am thinking about chewing gum - how boring! and hope that helps this out of control thing that has taken over me. It is an unbelieveably strong magnet like power pulling me into the pantry and fridge!
Weird huh? Think it is hormonal? (kept ovaries).

From all that I've read, it wouldn't be unlikely that it is hormonal- even with your ovaries still intact. Maybe their functioning has changed since surgery.... Since I don't have mine, that's what I'm blaming all of this on!! So I'm holding out high hopes for the hormone balancing act to produce good results!!

Whatever it is, you're definitely not alone!! Maybe others will have more info to share that will enlighten both of us!!

sorry all

Hi all my sisters, that is fun to say since my only siblings are boys LOL. I am hurting also it seems to be muscular and with carrrying mail and packages over Christmas it very well could be, I hate to sit down when I get home as I have a heck of a time getting up without help. As far as eating, I have issues with that so will always have to force that, but have been steadily gaining which is not good for the eating issues. Glad the holidays are almost over, as I need a rest. Am thinking of taking a week off soon just to recover from my first month back at work. Take good care of all of you!!!! Love signing in and having messages to read about all of you keep it up. Pami

Fuschiacow, so sorry to hear about your pains. It's good the doc could get you in tomorrow to quickly figure out what is up. My thoughts are with you.

I have been feeling much like myself, a little too much, i think, and now my body has decided that since i am free of my pre-hyst agony and mostly recovered, it can surrender to more mundane misery - a cold! A full blown, stuffed up past the ears, miserable cold that is preparing to settle deep in my chest. I had recurring pneumonia a couple years back, and then when my periods got more and more agonizing, it was like my body was dealing with that and I got a break from the respitory stuff. So, the one downside to being free of the menstrual agony may be a return to this kind of stuff. I hope not! Everyone at work is sick so I won't get paranoid about my being more susceptible yet. But now I am feeling like crap and have NO sick leave left. I actually made it through the recovery without having to take unpaid leave and now, because of a cold, I may have to!

I shouldn't complain though. It is so wonderful not to have to plan my life around my period, unsure of how debilitating the next cycle would be...

Here's to hoping that the aches, owies, and appetite get back to normal soon. Happy New Year, sisters!

Feeling like a COW! MOOOOOOO

Hello Ladies of the HysterSisters!

I felt that I needed a YAH YAH session with my girls! I have been up and down and around the corner of a very crappy roller coaster ride and I'm the caboose. I get the best burst of energy every three days and then I over do it on that day and spend the next two days doing what is necessary and not much else. I made an agreement with my cosmotologist and husband, I AM NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE ANY DECISION ABOUT MY HAIR UNTIL I AM NORMAL!!! I seem to have this horrible problem with my mirror. I don't look the way I did when I was 21 and my mirror likes to point this out to me and I think that is just.....well...... HATEFUL! I am finding all these line and wrinkles and dents and dings and hair and just stuff that shouldn't be on my body. My jeans have obviously shrunk during my recovery and my boobs are now long and pretty instead of hanging around near my neck. Trust me, my "GIRLS" are letting me down. Where I used to have a wasteline, I now have a permanent ring from where my now shrunk jeans have left their mark. I have resorted to not eating entire meals and now feel much like a cow who's sole purpose is grazing. I just wish I could use the bathroom like my bovine friends!!! Still fighting with the problem of a sluggish intestine and my bladder feels like someone has done a number from the latest "STOMP" venue.
Other than that I feel great. Happy one minute in tears the next and God frobid you make me feel like you are treating me wrong 'cause, There's Hell to pay! But like I said, I am tired and am lying down to take my nap now and hopefully I wont dream about my husband dating some Hot 20 year old with a uterus and ovaries!
Take care ladies, night night,

Oh My God

Thought I would pop back in and let you all know that I couldn't sleep a wink ( not that I have been sleeping well for the past 9 weeks). I forgot to wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you all once again for giving me a place and space to voice my thoughts and concerns with others who share my most recent experience in one form or another. Now it's off to see DH for lunch and see if I can keep my road rage under control!!!

Happy New Year to ALL

Hi Ladies and a Happy New Year to everyone.
Glad to read that I am not the only one dealing with some issues. I still have painful urination at the end and pains in the belly. Wish this would go away. And to top it off the doctor only gave me a RX for 40 HRT. When I called for a refill they never called it in. I am having terrible headaches and I think that is from the lack of hormones. Not sure why he only gave me 40 pills but I have been out and am at my wits end. He never said that the HRT was short term. Darn doctors. Anyone have any idea why he would do that?

Hi Sisters-

Just Wanted To Give You A Little Update.
I Went In For An Endoscopy On Friday. The So Called Good News Is That They Did Not Find An Obstruction In The Intestine. So Now I Am Going In For An X-ray Of The Small Intestine Tomorrow Morning. The Dr (gastro) Seems To Think It May Be Ahdhesions From All Of The Abdominal Surgeries That I Have Had--9 Before The Total Hysterectomy In October. I Have A Cousin Who Is A P.a. For A Local Ob Gyn And She Thinks It Could Be Endometriosis Possibly Growing From The Hrt I Am Taking. The Gastro Seems To Think That I May Need To Go Ahead And Have Laporoscopy To Find Out For Sure.
After Reading On The Internet, I Am Finding Out It Could Either Be Adhesions Or Endometriosis. Anyone Else Having These Problems Or Heard Of Anything Like This. Any Extra Information Would Be Greatly Apreciated. All I Want Is To Feel "well" Again.
Thanks For Listening
