Hi all!

AgyAgy- I am finding myself holding on desperately to all that chocolate, etc left over from the holidays... I just need to toss all the darn stuff! Noone is eating it but me, and I certainly don't need it!!

lizzie~ So glad to hear you are feeling great! Aside from this little granulation thing I am doing pretty good too. (OK, the moodiness/crankiness). I'm dying to get back to exercising again, and get rid of the above mentioned chocolate 'baggage' I have hanging around right now. Fingers crossed that you didn't jinx yourself!

DH and I had a great day yesterday, our kiddos were back to school and DH starts back to school Monday (he teaches 5th grade). We went to the movies, and spent a few hours shopping. Made it back just in time to pick up kids and start evening stuff. But it was so nice for just the 2 of us to hang out for a bit! Of course, last night I was completely wiped out!! But it was worth it...

Everyone else, have a wonderful weekend, keep up the healing!

HELLO SISTERS!

I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT SO MANY OF YOU ARE BACK AT WORK AND DOING WELL. I DON'T WANT TO SOUND MEAN OR UGLY BUT I AM A BIT JEALOUS I WENT TO SEE MY OBGYN FRIDAY AND SHE AND THE GASTRO ARE SCHEDULING CAT SCANS ON MONDAY THEN A COLONOSCOPY SOMETIME THIS NEXT WEEK. IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING ON EITHER ONE OF THESE TESTS, SHE AND A SURGEON WILL GO BACK IN WITHIN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS TO LOOK FOR ANY POSSIBLE ADHESIONS OR SIGNS OF ANY ENDOMETRIOSIS.
I HAD TO GO TO HOSPITAL YESTEDAY TO PICK UP THE 2 BOTTLES OF BARIUM. THE TECH SAID ,"BUT THESE ARE BANANA " AS IF THAT IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT TAST ANY BETTER! HA! HA! HA!
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT, IT MEANS A LOT TO HAVE SO MANY PRAYING AND THINKING ABOUT ME.
THANKS TO ALL,
<j>FUSCHIACOW

Fuschiacow: So sorry to hear you're still going through all of this! You're in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted with your test results and how you're feeling!

As for me, this is my first week back to work FULL TIME. I stared early December about 20 hours a week (plus another 10 from home each week). I feel good, but it's a long day today!!

As mentioned before, I started back at the gym last week. Went 5 days!!! Very proud of myself! Now, if I could control the eating just a bit better - I might get back into my freaking clothes. Why does it take 6 months to lose weight that only took 6 weeks to gain?????

I feel good. No more pains. Even the fatigue has subsided. Other than the weight gain, (which I can only blame on the holidays!) I feel better than I have in years! Still a little (Okay, maybe a LOT) irritable.........but hopefully that will even out with some more time on HRT.

OH!! And I'm going SKIING this Friday! Cannot WAIT!! We have a family ski trip coming up the last week of January. Plan to ski the entire week. A few weeks ago, I was worried that I wouldn't be up for it, but it's going to take a LOT more than some little hysterectomy to stop me from skiing!!! HEE HEE!!

Hope you are all doing well. Keep posting, I miss hearing from you all..........

Have A Wonderful Week!
Christine

Hello Sisters,
I have not heard from anyone in a couple of days and I just wanted to check-in. I hope everyone is doing well and feeling better each day. I'm doing good with just a few minor on/off pain/discomfort around my abdominal area especially when I set in my office chair all day (kind of feels like my muscles and nerves are coming back to life). I'm back at work full days now and it's taking some getting use to but for the most part I'm feeling really good. I still have occasional on/off pain at the end of urination but this is getting less and less. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for another follow-up and hope all goes well.

Fuschiacow: I hope you are feeling better and that your doctors have found out what's causing your pain. Hang in there and Keep the Faith; I'm praying for you!!!!

Well, it's time to get ready for work so I guess I'll sign-off for now.

Take care and God Bless,

Good Morning Sisters, Well yesterday I had another reminder that it really hasn't been all that long ago. We have been having spring like weather here and I think my allergies are confused. I was sneezing all day yesterday and by the end of the day, I had pain near my right ovary as well as some swelly belly. It's days like that I have to remember 6 month - a year to heal. Hope everyone is doing well.

Fushiacow: I'm sorry things aren't going well for you. I hope the dr. can find something to help.

Hi all, I still have swelly belly pretty bad, went to Gyno Monday he doubled my hormones, Hope it will help. Having crying jags, my crapometer was set on zero. Hence new hormone prescription. Then today I go to regular Dr. and now am on antibiotics for a sinus thing. Yuck. I have decided that most of the people I work with can be forgiven for just about anything except my bosses, which is weird cause my supervisor was a close friend. Hope those hormones kick in quick. I'm headed to bed early tonight. Thanks girls, Pami

Hi everyone. I am feeling down about my belly - my incision area (not the incision itself) continues to feel very sore.....like a bad bruise. I work on my feet all day and blame that. Yesterday, after getting home felt pressure and soreness where my vaginal cuff is. I am telling you.......I just want to feel normal again. I guess the 6-12 month thing is real!
I asked my boss if she remembers feeling sore this long after her surgery and she said, "I really don't remember having any pain after returning to work." I wanted to strangle her at that moment. If felt like she was belittling me. Ugh.
Anyways, here's to hoping you all feel better than I do. Wah, pity party over. Take care all.
Love,
C

Hello Leaves,

I'm right there with you; since I started back to work full days my swelly belly seems to have come back and my abdominal area has more soreness than usual. Also, try to ignore the remark from your boss; I don't believe for one minute that she can't remember having any pain after this type of surgery. I know I will never forget that this is not something that one can just bounce back from and have no memory of the pain that seems to linger afterwards. Sometimes I think not only do our families forget what we have gone thru so do the people we work with. They think that because you are back up on your feet that you are completely healed but we sistes know this not the case.

I went back to my doctor for a follow up on Thursday and she said my exam shows nothing abnormal; the swelling/soreness are all part of the healing process and this may continue for up to 6 months before they completely go away. Although, this was not what I wanted to hear it did make me feel better about my progress. The occasional off/on pain at the end of urination is getting less and less, which makes me feel better as well.

To all my Sisters: continue to be kind to yourself and listen to your body; it knows when we are over doing it and try to take it easy when ever possible. Although, others seem to forget we had major surgery; let's try to remind ourselves no matter what others say. We know our bodies better than anyone and internal healing from this type of surgery takes 6 months to a year. Lots of Love to all of you!!!!

Take care and God Bless! Keep the Faith!

Glover:
Thanks for the update from your DR. I was thinking of calling mine to discuss the continued soreness to be sure it was normal. Now I know.
I have Thursdays off and after running some errands and taking care of a few things around the house, I was off my feet in the afternoon and all evening. I certainly felt better Friday morning after the "rest". My DH understands fortunately. I have a 5 day weekend coming up and feel like that time will be my opportunity to get me over a lot of this. The rest certainly helps.
Sisters, thanks for listening and all the added support. It makes me feel so much better.
Love,
C
