Thank You Sisters For All Your Prayers!!

I Had The Colonoscopy On Monday And It Was Horrible!! I Woke Up During My Previous One And They Could Not Put Me Under During This One. It Was Quite Frustrating--then, I Had A Reaction To The Demerol--broke Out In Hives, Welts And A Rash ( Still Have It Today). Even After All Of This Drama/trauma, They Found Nothing!!
Yesterday, I Was Then Referred To A Surgeon And Saw Him This Morning And He Thinks That I Have A Herniated Disk?? I Have Never Had Back Problems But Wants To Rule This Out. He Feels That Going Back In (surgery) To "look" Could Cause More Problems In The Long Run Because Of My Previous History--many Surgeries, Endometriosis And Possibility Of More Adhesions.
If They Do Not Find Anything Wrong In My Back He Is Talking About Going To See A Specialist In Pain Management For Injections To "deaden The Nerves" For Possible Nerve Damage From Surgery.
He, As Well As Me And Everyone I Know Is So Frustrated
I Was So Hoping That By Having The Hysterectomy That Would Be A Cureall To My Problems And It Seems To Have Left Things Better But Worse.
I Am Hoping That They Will Just Release Me So I Can Go Back To Work And Get On With Life And Learn To Deal With The Pain Like I Did When I Had My Ovaries.

Thanks For Listening To Me Vent--couldn't Do It Without Your Support.

Hi everyone
I am sorry to hear some of you saying about swelly bellies etc and soreness but actually it is a bit of a relief to me - sorry. I am back to work now with a long drive both ways. I only have an office job so its fairly inactive but i have been forgetting lately about major surgery and have been lifting things that i wouldn't have thought twice about in the past. I now get little darting pains and a pressured feeling so i have to lay down and it passes. I am scared i have pulled something. Has anyone else had this??

Yes, I get those as well as still getting swelling if I do too much. I go to the Dr. on Tuesday to see what, if any, of this is "normal". I guess my life is just more active than I thought. I though I was ready for full throttle, but I am not.

Hi again all my sisters!

Fuschiacow, I am soooo sorry they were not able to find something after your testing. That is so extremely frustrating when all you want is to NOT have to go back to the doc for awhile. And the hives just add insult to injury! Would the injections be a permanent thing, or short term? I am so hoping for a resolution for you in all this.

For those of you that are back to work full time, I just stand in awe. My own "full time" is taking care of the 3 kiddos and DH, and while I have contemplated the idea of looking for a very part-time something, I couldn't imagine having to be "on" 8-9 hours a day like that. My kids don't care if I'm still in my jammies when I drop them off at school!

And ohhh, the on and off pains.... Just when you think you are doing great you go and attempt something your body doesn't think it should have to do! I had cook night with a few other ladies last night (think Dream Dinners or Supper Solutions, but in someones home), thankfully it was at my neighbors house. But I couldn't lift my basket with my 6 meals in it when we were done, and my neighbors DH had to carry it home for me. Someday soon, we will be super-ladies again!

It has also been 2 weeks since my silver nitrate, and DH and I had a trial run this morning... no bleeding! Yeah!!

Anyway, have a great week all!!

Hey sisters! Last time I checked in I mentioned I was really pooped, which I thought was normal for me. Then 2 nights ago, I couldn't sleep and was having weird scary twitches each time i'd start to drift off. My body would not let me fall asleep. One night of sleep trouble wouldn't bother me, but this twitching was exactly what was happening to me when I was bleeding out my hematoma two weeks after my hyst, so this time I was very worried! My heart rate was way up too. Went to my primary care doc next day and he explained that cardiac arithmia and twitching is very common if you are anemic - being really pooped out is a side effect too! So after a bunch of blood draws, he sent me right to the store for an iron supplement. He said it can take months to bring iron levels back to normal after a blood loss like mine, and I was a very bad patient by not starting on iron right after my hematoma. Oops! I was thinking I was bleeding again on the inside and scared out of my mind, and here I was just creating this scary problem for myself by not taking my iron pills. Who knew?!

Hope everyone else is taking better care of yourselves!

Fucshiacow: I'm so sorry you're still in the dark and so frustrated. Bravo to you for being strong and adamant that the doctors keep looking for the problem. Hang in there, I'm praying for you.

Well, I've been back at the gym 5-7 days a week, for the past couple of weeks. Trying to get rid of some of this extra weight - that doesn't seem to want to go anywhere -- anyone else having trouble dropping some extra pounds put on since surgery?

Overall, I feel good. Still very tired after working all day......and lately I've had some back pain, after a lot of physical exertion - sometimes awful back pain - and I've never had back pain before - almost feels a little crampy in my abdomen too - oh and I've had some pain at the end of urination too. Should I be calling my doctor? I so want to just feel normal, I've been putting off calling her......I know that makes no sense whatsoever!

Anyway - nice checking in with you all. Have a wonderful weekend. Hope you're feeling well and finding peace.

Hello Sisters,
Just wanted to check-in and see how everyone is doing. I pray all is well and the New Year brings us all divine health!!!!

Fuschiacow: I'm sorry you are still having pain and that the doctors have not found the cause; hang in there, keep after them to find out what's going on and Keep the Faith. I admire your strength and positive outlook.

Paininthe, I'm doing really well but still have on/off pain at end of urination too; it happens first thing in the morning mostly. However, it does not happen all the time. My gyno has done several urine test and they are normal and she said my exams show nothing abnormal. I just wish this pain would go away completely. I still have a few minor pain/discomfort around my abdominal area when I over do but other than that; I feel really good! Just can't wait to get back to normal. I go to my regular doctor next month and I'll have her do a urine test again to make sure there is not a urinary tract infection just to be on the safe side.

To All My other Sisters: I hope you are doing well and you are continuing to heal. Continue to be kind to yourself and pamper yourself when ever possible!!!!

Take care and Lots of Love,

Hi everyone. Good to hear from all of you. I am feeling well......but will continue to sound like a broken record. Swelly belly with burning and itching around the incision. I finally feel pretty normal with urination. They were right when they say the bladder goes through trauma. It is 13 weeks for me today.....3 + months. Can not wait until this belly discomfort is gone for good. I am counting the days.
Fushiacow - so sorry to hear you continue with severe pain. I am praying for your relief.
Paininthe - my hat is off to you working out at the gym! It must feel great to work up a sweat.
My belly is too sore to even think about it. I have done some "sissy" type sit ups, but that only works the upper abs. I haven't gotten weighed lately, but when I did a few weeks ago, I had not gained any weight. They say, muscle weighs more than fat......that has got to be the reason. I feel rather flabby and out of shape. Resting has made my muscle mass decrease......but I know, this will pass.
It is nice hearing from so many of you. Good healing everyone.

3 months now! Wow. I am really starting to finally feel better now. Big bursts of energy ( that I have been missing for a very long time). Back on the treadmill and light weights. Get the occasional zinger here and there to remind me that the body went through some trauma.

For those that are still suffering- I hope as time passes, your pains ease. It would be nice to look back in a year, and have all of us feeling great.

3 months!! OMG - where di the time go?

Well, I am so out of shape!! I finally went skiing this past Friday (got snowed out before) and the conditions were ungroomed - it was like skiing top to bottom moguls! Let me just tell you - I was only able to complete 3 runs down the mountain all day! I was sweating and huffing and puffing (but then, so was everyone else - and some people quit after just one run!!). I was glad I did it. I ran 3 miles on the treadmill yesterday at the gym and it felt wonderful!!

I still can't button most of my pants. I had to go out and buy ski pants one size larger, which I find frustrating! I feel like my middle section looks so different - like I have no waist anymore!! It's driving me nuts!

Okay, I know this is trivial and it could be a lot worse.......I just needed to vent. Overall I feel great, these extra pounds and this extra flab that collected on my mid-section has just gotta go! Will be skiing every day next week - so maybe that will help!!!

Hope you're all doing well........thanks for being here!!
