My doctor told me the pathologist found Stump (update)

I went for my post op yesterday (had surgery 9/24/07 took uterus left ovaries) and he told me that i had 3 fibroids and the biggest one had Stump. He said it is very rare so they sent it to expert pathologist to look at it. He is a new doctor and said in his last 8 years of internships and residency he has never seen it. He also brought up about cancer. Does anyone know anything or experienced Stump that can shed some light on this for me. My next appointment is 11-5-07 to get the results.

My doctor told me the pathologist found Stump (update)

So I had my doctors Appt and the gyno and his whole office still stumped, literally. Sent me to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh(I'm only 2.5 hours away) to see a gyno of Oncology. He also couldn't give me any answers except that they called it PEComa(Pervivascular Epiethilioid Cell Tumor) I may have spelled it wrong but He has only seen this 2 times in his career and he has been practicing since 1971. He said it had wild cancer cells in it but it may never come back and if it does they may not now how to treat it because no one really knows what it is. Not very convincing. His office is going to run more pathology to see if they see anything else but in the meantime he is going to make me get a CA125 blood test and every year I have to have a CT scan. So he told me not to really worry about it because I could have just been an isolated incident. I will keep you guys updated with anything I find out. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
