Continued best wishes to you all as you continue to heal!

I wanted to let you all know that once you have healed you can continue to stay in touch using the various other fourms on the site including the HysterSisters Club House and one of its sub-forums, Date Clubs, where the recovery threads are moved once the inital recovery time has passed.

Sharing your experiences and encouraging the and new s on the Pre Op and Post Op forums is also greatly appreciated!

6- week mark!

Hi Sue,
I just came back from my almost-6-week follow up with the doctor. He said it would take up to 3 months for the swelling and heavy feeling to go away. I also had A & P repair, and feel like I have a lot of 'bulk' inside my belly, also heavy and sore.
He said to remember how major the surgery was, and to listen to my body and don't push it to do more than it wants to.
Keep taking good care of you!

6- week mark!

Hi there,

I am at 6 weeks post-op and am doing well. I go for daily walks, 35-40 minutes a day. I still have swelling and tenderness in my belly. I am going to my gyno in 2 days and hope to get the green light to get back into normal activities.

The most important thing is to let yourself heal at YOUR rate. Remember, you only have one chance to heal.

A speedy recovery to all!
