Glad someone responded. I had lost our thread!
I had my 6 week check 1-1/2 weeks ago and was cleared for everything but to watch heavy lifting. That night was the only time so far DH and I have tried sex. It hurt to go too far in, and I was very dry. Guess I need to look for some new "products" for that. Any suggestions?

I went back to work last week and was tired but made it through. By thursday I was pretty tight in the belly with minor pains. I was able to walk 2 miles on friday however. I have gained back all the weight I lost during surgery and my belly seems to be fairly swollen, and especially so at the end of the day. If I touch my abdomen it hurts still but I have started getting through the day sometimes not thinking about for a few hours at a time.

I guess that's it for now. Looking forward to hearing from others.

Instead of using the warming ky, use the ky silk. It helped us a lot the first 2 times when we made love. Now, I 'm 8 weeks (tom, Tues 12/18) and don't need to use any ky(yeah!). Relax and don't get frustrated, I know exactly how you feel.

Hi ladies
Had my 7 week check up on friday I was given the green light to resume work (I have to lift heavy stuff) But to listen to my body. I went snow shoeing out back and ended up taking motrin Whew I am out of shape sitting on my butt for 6 weeks. Still notgoing back to all my clients residential stuff till after Christmas but I'm back doing the industrial stuff. Have to agree with friskee the silk ky is better I experianced mild buring with the warming also No more use of KY either for the moment . webryl I had the same problem DH was very understanding we are like newly weds the more we "use" it the better it gets so hang in there . Glad to see all of you and your journey through recovery I'm still tired at the end of the day and also my ovaries are quite tired too having flashes at night that interupts sleep so I think I'm going to try some herbal remedies and a chillow Hope your all doing well Merry Christmas , Happy Holidays to you all Hope we all continue to post our progress.

First day back to work

Today was my first day back to work. Was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to remember how to do my job, but it all came back.

Everyone kept commenting on how good I looked...didn't realize how bad I looked before the surgery. LOL

Merry Christmas.

Try the original KY. Its in a blue bottle. The silk is nice but tends to dry out to fast. The red(warming) is not always comfortable but the blue is.
I cant believe its been 8 weeks!

So glad to hear everyone is doing well. This is my second week back at work! Wow, it was harder than I thought. The first day I came home in tears and took Tylenol for the first time in weeks.. second day no tears but still needed Tylenol.. day 3 was better with no meds... just slow, slow, slow... can't believe I still get so tired so quickly.

Saw the doctor again yesterday and received a little bit of a demotion... he says the vaginal cuff is still not completely healed and I had a slight discharge. He suggested we "hold up" on intercourse.. I was a little embarrassed to tell him we followed the "nothing in the vagina for 6 weeks" rule He advised being very gentle for the next couple of weeks. Sex is still a little uncomfortable but have not noticed excessive dryness.. might try the KY anyway to see if that eases the discomfort.

Never in my life thought this would take soooo long to recover from!

Merry Christmas!

Hey Ladies:

Yes, it seems so long ago we had our surgeries!! I am feeling very good. The only thing is I get tired too fast!! I was also stretching and felt a bit uncomfortable during certain stretches (I think it was the cuff). I'm glad to read everyone is doing pretty good!!

Hi all,
I had kind of a weird thing happen I thought I would share in case anyone else has experienced this. Hopefully this won't be too much info shared I have been having constipation (still working out getting the diet right) and had to bear down quite a bit. After one episode there was blood on my TP. So I took a mirror and looked and it was coming out from the vaginal area. It also seemed like other tissue was ballooning out as well. I started to freak out that I was turning myself inside out. I called the doctor and he saw me that day. Turns out the front and back vaginal walls were slightly prolapsed and showing down below, but he said still in the realm of normal and all was okay. He was glad I came in and reassured me I was fine. Had sex that night, and everything still works Other than that, I'm doing fairly well, but my jeans still feel too tight on my stomach. I swell up still.

Doing well here, although I get tired at the end of the day. All the holiday activities (shopping, wrapping, cleaning, moving stuff around) catch up. My abs are shot.
