When I think Im not going enough I take Konsyl (natural fiber supplement) at night before I go to bed and the next day everything works normally again. I mix about a heaping tsp. with about 5 oz. juice. Its kind of odd because it doesnt dissolve so the texture is weird, but the taste isnt bad. Its kindof like mixing some cereal in a glass of juice and drinking it. I find it mixes best if stirred with a fork. If things get to hard, make sure you use a stool softener also. Also cut back on sugars and starches. Some how things havnt quite gotten back to normal that way yet. Im sure all the holiday treats havnt helped me any.Slowly but surley things are getting back on track but Im still using Konsyl a couple of times a week.Good luck with this.....L

Hi all,
I have been very stiff lately and my back has been hurting. I tell my DH I feel like the tin man and I need oiling. Then I googled stiffness in menopause and it seems this is one of the symptoms. I am not on any hormone replacement, so I was wondering if anyone out there has also had this problem. I feel like my body has aged 10 years. I'm getting back into walking and rode my bike also, but the stiffness continues. Have also had several stomach aches. I feel like I'm falling apart.

Oh, in answer to the previous questions on constipation, I have added lots of fiber to my diet, Fiber one cereal, and then a fiber one bar for snack. It seems to help.

I think I have a swelly belly. Do TVH people get them? lol I've never had this but I seem to now. I wish I was "flatter" like before my surgery. Sigh

Not only is belly swollen, but breasts, hands, feet, and face are also. I think it is the premarin that I am taking. No hot flashes but emotionally I feel bad. Didn't have PMS before so not used to the symptoms. I feel like I did after babies were born. Not crying or angry just a flat feeling. On a happier note the abdominal pain and pressure is gone and I don't miss the 12 day periods

Hey 2dogs2cats:

I have that stiffness too. especially in the morning, it is the worst. As I move to get out of the stiff postion, my stomach muscles contract and it scares me that I might injure something. I too am not on HRT do to Endo. Dr said at least a year. Then I am going to try to do it through natural means.

Hi Carol:

No, I am still researching. Our Chiropractor does natural medicines, so I will consult with her too when and if I need HRT. Right now the only symptoms I am having is night sweats which the ceiling fan takes care of and the stiff muscles. I did hear that black cohash (Spelling?) helps. If I find out any more info, I will let you know.

Hi Ladies:

Yes, I am stiff too!!! If I sit for too long, I have to walk a bit for the stiffness to go away. I feel so old - especially when I limp at work. I returned to work on 1/2. Lucky for me I only had to work two days then had my regular Friday off and the weekend.
Unfortunately, I had to work this whole week straight!!! I was tired about Wednesday but kept going. I tried to get rest and sleep as much as possible.
I told DH about the stiffness and he gently said that it was probably time to start exercising. I know he's right but all I want to do when I get home from work is recline in the recliner.
Anyone else return to work and feel tired? The right side of my hip has started to hurt a little. I kept my fallopian tubes & ovaries. My surgeon said she had "tied them back". Does else think this slight pain might be my ovaries??
It was a beautiful day today in Southern California. Hope you ladies out there are enjoying this beautiful day wherever you are.

I don't feel stiff when I sit too long, but I do feel achy/stiff in the low pelvic area after I walk. I started walking more and am trying to pick up the pace a little so I know that's why. I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 months already! I did feel tired when I started back to work, but it's gotten much better as the weeks go by.

I had a sleep over with 3 of my girlfriends Friday. Each of us brought a couple of things that were nice, but we knew we just weren't going to use. Then we took turns choosing what we wanted. You guessed it, I brought all my tampons. They laughed when I put them on the table. I cleared out 1/2 a shelf in my linen closet!
