Which lubricant do any of you ladies recommend? I have read places that some can cause yeast infections. I have researched online and found Sylk which is supposed to be natural, although I cannot find ingredients anywhere. The nurse said Astroglide. I do not want to have to deal with yeast infections after all I have been through this year.
thanks for your input

Astroglide is one that is very popular and easily available. My DR recommended it to me.

My Doctor also recommended astroglide, Ky also makes one for senisitive skin. I think the key is to not use to much, I don't know about everyone else but my DH tends to over pour. I have never had a yeast infection from using them but I do tend to get urinary tract infections so I am very careful on the amount used.

My boyfriend and I prefer KY warming liquid over the other lubricants we have tried.

They all seem to be irritating me, especially astroglide. I think I am allergic to everything now. Suggestions?

Lubes from toy companies

I have used Astroglide and K-Y over the years with no problems, so have not paid a lot of attention. You can look for "vegetable glycerin" or "sugar free" lubes to help stave off yeast infections. Paraben can cause irritation, so there are paraben-free lubes available. One more natural alternative is O'My; google it and see what it says. That will help you find others. Again, I have not used any of the natural ones.

Also, check out the better "toy" companies and see what they are offering as less-chemical alternatives. The products can usually be bought straight from the manufacturer, so you may not have to deal with a toy company if that is an issue for you.

I've heard the same thing on a couple of occasions; however, my DR cautioned me that products sold for consumption are not subject to the same manufacturing standards as products made for vaginal use. So, personally, I would try to avoid using anything that isn't specifically intended to be inserted vaginally.

My husband and I have been using extra virgin olive oil for years. Awesome!! I have had no problems with infections or anything. It is a very good lubricant. And NO chemicals!!
