How to say "thank you"

I am 2.5 weeks post op, it's time to do the 'thank you's but every time I look at the list, I get all choked up and can't find the words to tell people how grateful I am for everything they have done!

I am not married so it's been a ton of friends, neighbors, kids' parents/friends, childhood friends and even complete and total strangers that have helped me out.... it's overwhelming! The only time I have cried post-op is thinking about thanking all those people.

I had an 'extreme bedroom makeover' done on my room, people stayed at my house and in the hospital with me overnight.... the list goes on.

Well, maybe I just needed to get this all written out so I can start the task, thanks for listening....eerrrr reading.

Happy Recovering!

Maybe just tell them from the heart. It does not have to be long or blubbering -- just tell them from the heart.

It is that time of year in the Northwest -- that Roses are cheap -- on the street corner

maybe pick up a couple of bunches for those that did what meant the most to you.

or if you feel like you should do something for them -- get them a gift certificate for dinner -- ( heck they might even invite you to go with them)

A thank you note from the heart will probably mean the most though.

I think Thank you's from the heart do it, and doing for someone else when they need it, pay it forward.

Good to hear they were there for you when you needed it.

Seattle..you are so fortunate and it is nice to hear....I would send each one a personalized thank you card with heartfelt words...I am sure they do not expect gifts and your words would mean alot to them....maybe when you are feeling up to it you can arrange to have a few over for a post-op get together dinner.....catered of course if you are not feeling up to cooking..LOL...happy recovery
