Cervix polyp?
I am not sure where I should post this question....
Has anyone had a cervix polyp? I had one removed (office visit) on Tuesday. I was just wondering how long does it take to stop bleeding and start healing? All he told me was "no intercourse for a week." Not enough info for me....

Cervix polyp?
I had several removed over the years before my TAH. I don't remember ever spotting more than a day or so, but everyone is different. Are you spotting or is it a full-out bleed? If you're worried about it, give your doctor a call. I'm sure they can give you much better advice than I.

Cervix polyp?
I had a few removed. Bleeding wasn't too heavy.......and lasted about 3-5 days. Hope this helps!

Cervix polyp?
Thanks, mine lasted about 5 days. It's over now and the discomfort is gone.

Cervix polyp?
Hi Didi2020
I moved your post over here to The Road Less Traveled. Since you recently had your cervix removed with your ovaries, I'm wondering if perhaps your polyp was from granulation tissue forming as the vaginal cuff healed?
Here's a link to an article about Granulation tissue & Silver Nitrate. I don't know if you had a silver nitrate treatment with your removal, but it still might be of interest to you. I developed a granuloma, but my doc decided to see if my body would take care of it on it's own, which it eventually did. I bled 1-2 days after it came off. I'm glad your bleeding has resolved, and hope you continue to do well.
Best wishes & s
Beth
