Numb cervix

I had a LSH on 9/14, and with that type of surgery you keep your cervix. I was having sex after two weeks and it was great. Now, it has changed. It's like I can't feel my cervix. I relied on it for my organsms and now it totally feels different. I was used to hubby "hitting bottom", can anyone relate to this? Even though I kept my cervix, I wonder if some of the nerves were destroyed, since my doctor cauterized it. Any help, info or advice would be appreciated.

Numb cervix

southgal

I'm sorry you're experiencing this problem. Have you asked your doctor about it? It not, it might be a good idea ~ see what he says.

I'm not sure whether any ladies will be along who can relate but, in the meantime, it may be worth trying a "forum search" (click right on the main page of this forum) as many ladies complain of different kinds of numbness.

I hope you find some answers and things improve very soon. Take care!

Numb cervix

i think numbness of any kind after surgery is somewhat normal. i would think if it wasnt numb when you first started having sex, it will feel back to normal over time. i'd call the dr and ask or ask at your post op appt.

Numb cervix

Hi Southgal,

I also had a LSH. I had healing twinges...as I called them... around my cervical area for the first 6 weeks post-op. Then, it went away...and I have not had it since.

I would think with time...the numbness should sudside. It might have to do with the healing process.

In the meantime...I agree with Pooodle and Dressedupinblue...and you might want to check with your Dr...just to play it safe.

Sending best wishes~
