Where to donate magazines

Since I've been off I was able to gather a lot of magazines. They are in perfect condition, but I really don't like to just throw them away (although I can recycle them). I'm trying to find places to donate these items. When I first started on this site, I thought I saw a place that gave ideas, but I can't find it anymore.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

Thanks

I contacted my library. They said you can drop off magazines anytime. They said they just give them away. I told them that's all I wanted. That way someone else could read one they wanted for free. Just a thought. You could also check with doctor's offices and beauty salons. I've done that too. Hope your recovery is going well!

Another nice place to donate magazines is nursing homes. Most nursing homes have a library or an activity set aside that includes reading the paper or magazines.

Another idea is a domestic violence home.

We have a local cancer treatment center that is always looking for donations of reading material and puzzles for the waiting area. Places like doctors offices and nursing homes are places that people are frequently visiting. It's always nice to pick up some new reading material in the waiting areas. How thoughtful of you!

I donate my old magazines, esp. women's magazines, to the nurses station in the ward I had my op.
