You're still very early in your recovery and a certain amount of pain is to be expected. Most ladies complain of an itchy incision ~ I know I did! The rash could be due to a number of different things, I'm afraid.
It's important that you contact your doctor if you're concerned about anything ~ especially pain ~ particularly this early in your recovery.
Will you let us know what you find out? All good wishes and take care!

I developed yeast after my TAH,the Dr prescibed Nystatin powder and it cleared it up fast,so you should see your Dr.
It is very important to keep your incision clean and dry. After showering I used to lay under the ceiling fan or use my blow dryer on cool setting to make sure the incison was dry.

Do you still have steri strips over your incision? If so, your rash could be an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the steri strips. That happened to me from C-section (1987 & 1991) and TAH w/BSO (9/2007). I had to take my steri strips off before they fell off in the shower. My rash felt better in a couple of days after removing the steri strips.

I absolutely agree about the dry incision advice! Actually, my doc told me to simply allow the warm water of the shower cascade over the incision area, without using any soap at all. Then she told me to lie in bed for a good 45 minutes (a chance to watch "The Price is Right" every morning ) to allow the area to air-dry completely. Then, and only then, was dh allowed to put new, dry bandages on me! If the bandages became saturated during the day, I was to change them.
Then at night, I was to use a clean (of course), warm and damp towel to pat the area clean again, allow it to dry again, and put on fresh bandages.
Hope you're feeling better soon. If you're running a fever, you should definitely go to the ER if it gets above a certain point (my instructions said over 100.4 degrees).
