Man, I thought I would never make it here

I am so glad I am home. I am still in a lot of pain, but its a lot easier to put up with when you are at home and in a familiar place. I cannot thank you ladies enough for your advice.

There were no complications during surgery. They got to take it all. Tomorrow I start premarin. How soon did signs of menopause start after your surgeries? I am having hot flashes already, but I think that is because of the pain meds she has me on.

Well, I am off to bed. I hope each day gets easier. I can't wait to be able to drive again and to go and play with my kids.

Congrat's on making it to the other side!!

My hot flashes started after I got home.

You are right the pain seemed easier to take once I was on familiar ground.
Remember to Pamper the Princess!!
Hope you have a GREAT day!!

Welcome to the other side!

The premarin will take care of those hot flashes within a couple of days. Each day does get a little easier, but in the beginning you don't notice it so much. You have to look backwards after a week and think about where you were rather than thinking about right now as compared to yesterday. Keep those feet up and relax. You have once chance to heal properly. Make sure to do it right. When your doctor gives you the go ahead, you'll be doing all the things you want to do again, and the time that seems to drag now will seem like a drop in the bucket of life. Best of healing and peace to you!

Welcome home!

I can't help you with your hot flash question. I haven't had those for about 6 years!

My doc said I won't need to to HRT since I've already gone through menopause (but the bleeding didn't fact it got worse) and my ovaries weren't producing much anyhow. So far so good.

Good luck with your recovery. My best advice is to take it easy regardless of how well you feel. Rest and drink water.
