Infected?
I have four port sites and those on the right have pus. The one is open about a dime size with yellow junk. The other right side has just a little bit of junk. I was waiting for sterie strips to come off but notice oozing stuff at tip of strip so removed them today. After that one came off I removed others since there is no way to figure this out without seeing what is under them. Cleaned things up with hydrogen peroxide and wound flush stuff from drugstore. What to do from here?? Should I get some drugstore antibiotic cream?? The right side has hurt inside all along but not enough to worry. Does this mean anything is going on inside?? No fever and I feel well. Edges of opening are really red.

Infected?
Don't mess around with anything that could be infected. You need to let your doctor check it out. Can you call tonight? If not, you could call first thing in the morning and you might be able to get an appointment so the doctor can look at it.

Infected?
Just an update. I was infected and am packing hole and on antibiotics. No fever, feel okay but hole still looks ugly and I hate pushing the guaze in the hole. Drs office has been a bit dismissive but I guess that means don't worry.
