I'm not doing too bad today. I managed to sleep on my side last night with out too much discomfort and feel better for a good nights sleep.
I got my daughter to drive me into town this morning for a look around the market, but only managed 3 shops before it got too much and had to come home.
I haven't had any painkillers for two days now and have managed to do a bit of stitching and reading with out my head going fuzzy.
I've got my disabled son coming back next friday so I only hope I'm fit enough to look after him by then!

Healing of Incision

Now that my incision is beginning to heal it seems to be dry and tight. Is there something someone can recommend to put on my incision that will help.

Try vitamin E oil... it helps the healing and keeps it from getting dry and itching.

How much of my pain could be tied to the meltdown i a feeling. Feeling neglected :(

Anyone with rectal and pelvic pain, feels like when i was having a really bad period. Really hurts to sit down and to walk, bm's are rough too! I am almost 3 weeks post op...

This can also be tied into feeling put back on the back burner, as we started hunting season this weekend.... Up early, hunt, out to breakfast, home to watch any televised sport until time to hunt and eat again. I feel my status as princess has taken a back seat to game trails and manly stuff. Having a little meltdown to go with new princess status and hot flash - freeze warning - hot flash. Will just work in a few cries until the guns get put back up!

Think tomorrow i will just disappear into what we call my cave and sulk.... how pathetic is that. got to keep ovaries, hope they snap out of it and start to work again soon, this me really sucks! Thank God for my dogs, they love me even when i am not sure they should, funny how a bunch of pups just seem to get it! Dogs rock! This sucks!

Go to bed and stay put. I went to WM at 2 weeks and did not have the bleeding but lots of pain. Week 2-3 has sort of sucked since my shopping trip. Hope your bounce back is quicker.

My chest congestion seems to be settling in very deep the last couple of days. I wake up and I can feel it, barely, but it's too far down to cough anything up. I have to take Mucinex and use an albuterol inhaler. No temperature. Then as the day wears on I'm coughing so much, and my incision area gets so sore.

Should I be concerned? I've been sick with this bug for over a week now.

Are you trying the Mucinex DM? It is really great for breaking that stuff up. I think i would call Doc in the morning if you are not feeling better. Would hate to see you damage something with all of the coughing. Hope you are better soon.

That's exactly what I'm using. It does help, I cough this stuff up all day. But in the mornings, it's very deep in my chest, I can't even feel it, don't need to cough, not rattling, but I know it's there. Then I take the mucinex and the albuterol and cough all day.

I will call the doctor tomorrow. Maybe I need an antibiotic ??

Ya'll should see my medicine cabinet. I've never had so many drugs in my life. It's rather pathetic
