Today is my 3-week mark from a Total Abdominal Hyster, and I've been feeling so frustrated. At 2 1/2 weeks, I felt a surge of energy and started going out, running errands and even volunteered at my son's Kindergarten class for about an hour. I thought I was on the mend.

Then a couple of days ago, I hit a wall and have been so sore that I can barely move. Obviously, I overdid it -- but I was going bonkers laying around.

I don't remember my C-section being this rough and was wondering if something had gone wrong. I'm out of pain meds (and of course it's a long weekend) but thought I shouldn't be taking them any longer.

I've been telling my husband, "Something must be wrong for me to still feel so much pain this long after surgery." I'm sorry that other hyster sisters are in the same boat, but at least I know I'm not alone.

I'm simply not a patient patient.

Here's to all of us getting back on our feet soon!

Thanksgiving was hell. I was fine except that I was sitting up for 8+ hours. I was in SERIOUS pain by the time I got home

My gosh! I walked about 1 mile today and I was so tired I came home and went directly to rest. I hope I could gradually start walking longer distances..

I'm taking my dog for a walk tomorrow. I think she's forgot what that is! You inspired me, Princess. I'm still sore but we'll take it real slow.

Please be careful walking your dog. I'm not sure if the pulling of the leash will be good for your ab muscles. Take care not to do too much.

Yeah, I worry about that. That's why I haven't braved the dog walk yet. She's 80lbs, golden retriever. Not generally bad at pulling, unless she sees something she likes. Maybe I'll take her after dark, people tend to stay indoors then, pets are inside. Yeah, after dark. I'll have to bundle up ... brrrrrr.

Enjoy the walk. I really appreciate the fresh air since the surgery. The cold air even feels good.

All I can say is ... here's to weeks 3-6. We will heal lots, I'm sure. I would be doing lots better if only my lower right side would quit feeling so weird or painful.

Wow, I literally slept ALL DAY today just after sitting 8 hours. Everything I would lie down I'd fall asleep. And wasn't taking anything but ibuprofen either. And tomorrow and Sunday we are having MORE "Family time". Oy. I'm going to start hitting the treadmill at least 15 min a day starting tomorrow (I won't mention I've been saying that for over two years.........).

Hello, I have been feeling numb around my incision. Does this go away, or will I have to live with this for the rest of my life. I have also been very emotional. I kept my overies so I should not have menapousal symptoms. Is this normal? I have been very lucky, I haven't had much pain, and I've been doing lots of things that I shouldn't be doing - today I moved furniture around in family room. I hope I don't pay for it tonight. I have a small amount of bloody discharge, but I guess that's normal. Sometimes I get depressed reading some of your posts. It's wonderful that some of you have all of that help. I get no help with anything. I wish I could be a princess too. I guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself - that emotional thing again. Well, I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for letting me vent.
