gee, I can't imagine going to work. I figure, for now, my full time job is healing. I was thinking this morning that I need lots of healing during the next couple of weeks.

I feel pretty good today. I feel like I need some stretching, a full body major stretch. I'm even missing ab crunches. My back is feeling out of whack. I used to have back pain alot, before I started to walk alot and losing weight. I see a chiropractor, but I don't know if he could do much with me right now, or not. I may call and see.

I'm thinking about putting up my Christmas tree. Well, let me rephrase this. I'm thinking about directing the tree trimming. I can probably put on some of the ornaments. I truly enjoy each and every ornament on my tree. Each ornament is special and holds meaning.

I've ordered a cancer awareness ornament. the ornament is in the awareness ribbon shape with a variety of smaller ribbons in many colors.

I have decided to go back to work... tomorrow. I just have to get my drs note and stuff.

Though it hit me, if I start working, it will be harder to take pain pills at night. This morning I woke up at 10:30.

Actually, scratch that, if I start working, people will just have to deal with the hours I choose to work...

Hi Ladies,
I posted a couple days ago on how I was feeling guilty about just laying around the house and doing nothing, well on Saturday I loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen the way I like it and doing other light chores around the house. I was fine but then yesterday I went to see dh, and ds play some basketball I walked a little while. Well when I got in the car I was in so much pain, I ended up in tears. Besides the pain I felt pressure, bloated it was awful. I came home had a tea and a painkiller and went to bed. This morning I feel alot better. I see the dr. today for the hole I have in the incision. I guess I'll tell him all I've been feeling.
I hope you are all doing better today.

Well, it obvious that even though we lost our sticky, some of us are clearly not ready to move ahead full steam. These are very challenging times, aren't they? I fell like I can do more but if I do, I am reminded that I SHOULDN'T!

Arghhh....okay, I'm through with my 4 hours of work today. It's very challenging, staying with the 4 hours and not working longer hours. But if I do, I jeopardize my STD pay and I can't do that. So I have to just tell everyone I can't work anymore today. I think it's easier to just not be working at all !!

easing back into work

As I posted on my other thread, I'll be easing into the work thing from home, with catching up on one project. My trial went pretty well, though I think I am more tired than usual tonight. I guess that's to be expected. I haven't had any pain though. Will be interesting to see if I have any problems tomorrow.

lovetowalk, I'm also feeling in need of stretching but it feels like yoga would be too much.

arafel, is this new pain you're feeling? Have you been doing more activity? You can always call your doctor if you think something might be wrong... that's why they're there...

Well I realy love hearing how everyones feeling the concerned phone calls have stopped. I don't feel so alone knowing others are going through this. I have to business's and a house to decorate for Christmas and just can't muster the energy. This upsets me so much. I guess its pride. My surgery was laporscopic and a complete hystrctomy, i'm on week 4 does anyone else feel like atrain reck? I thought I would be feeling better, the more I do the worse I feel. I get so tired. My work isn't difficult but when I'm done I'm out of breath and feel like i've just jogged. Any one else feel me?

I know it sounds silly to quote myself!
UPDATE: I saw the dr. today and told him what I did and how I felt and I said to him since I'm 3 weeks post should I start doing light housework like dishes and dusting he said to me honey you said it you are 3 weeks post-op you just had major surgery if possible don't do anything but walk that is the best medicine, walk, walk walk. Oh yes and drive no shopping however. So that settles my emotions. And the hole is healing nicely he put somemore of the silver nitrate, boy does that sting.
Write to you later.

Tinatans, I am a wreck too! Don't feel bad. I'm week three and I have not been out of the house except to go to doctor. And, I still don't have the energy to clean the house. I have to do a little and then stop, do a little and then stop. I am getting the guilty feeling from friends (not on purpose) but they are saying things like, "oh, you are three weeks now you should be feeling like yourself", or "You will be four weeks on friday now you can start running around with us again." I feel so much pressure to be back to myself but not quite there yet. Then, they say " my mom was feeling good by three to four weeks after her TAH". Anyone else feel like it is really hard not being compared to others and ever get the feeling everyone thinks you are really just milking it after 2 weeks??

Princess G-silver nitrate seems like it hurts, I feel for you. Glad doctor told you to take it easy!
